Word Count: 758 Level 5 Ganondorf: 53/60 Exp: 2 NEW EXP Balance--- 55/60
”It is done, then.” Ganondorf declared, after the Radiance finally appeared to die for good. Of course, that wouldn’t be confirmed until she was fully reduced into a Spirit. He imagined a Guardian’s Spirit would confer a great deal of power to whosoever claimed it. He was tempted for a moment to claim it for himself, but chose not to. That Radiance creature reeked with pure light, and that was not something the Warlord wished to have within himself. And besides, it wasn’t as if Ganondorf wasn’t also becoming more and more powerful in other ways…
Level Upgrade!
Warframe Energy Capacity: Ganondorf’s Energy Capacity begins at 215. Enemies can drop blue-black energy globs at a rate of 1 per every 5 normal enemies or 1 for every unique enemy. These will restore 50 energy to Ganondorf’s energy capacity upon pickup.
Renewal (Level 1): Healing waves of energy flow outward from Ganondorf to his allies, regenerating health over time. It costs 25 Energy to activate, plus 2 Energy per second to remain activated. This will increase to 3 per second per ally while allies are actively being healed, plus an additional 1 Energy per second per summoned ally for every summoned ally actively being healed. The channeled field covers a 10 meter radius around the user, and regenerates 10% health every second for allies and 3% health every second for summoned allies. Allies at full health will additionally be cleared of all negative status effects. The field remains active either until Ganondorf runs out of Energy or until he deactivates it himself.
Instead it was Queen Sectonia who ended up claiming the Guardian’s spirit. Considering they were both insect-like creatures, it was almost fitting in a way. Regardless, Sectonia’s newfound connection to pure light was something Ganondorf himself would have to be wary of going forward. There was a reason why the warlord had held on to the Holy White Sword all this time despite him never really using it. After all, what better way to prevent it from ever being used against him?
But after all that was finished, the Seekers all found themselves reawakening at the familiar sight of the Black Egg. Nearby, the Hollow Knight knelt… battered and weakened. But before anyone like Ganondorf himself could move to do anything, several white bullets circled around the defeated shadow creature and closed around it, finishing him off. And that was when the weasley Consul finally saw fit to come out of hiding. But now he was scared, sniveling and groveling for his life. Sectonia was the one who moved to question him first. But before she did, Ganondorf took her moment of distraction as an opportunity to request something of her.
”Might I borrow that curious Hat of Avarice, but a moment?” He asked her. And surprisingly enough, she handed it right to him without a second thought. Perfect. She was currently too distracted by F and her newfound powers to notice or question who it was that was asking for the Hat. Ganondorf inspected the Hat for but a small moment, before putting it on his head in place of his helmet. Then he scooped up the nearby spirit of the Hollow Knight.
”Let us see how well this Hat works…” Ganondorf said to himself under his breath as he squeezed the Spirit in order to crush it…
Item obtained: Shade Cloak Cloak formed from the substance of the Abyss. Allows the wearer to dash through enemies and their attacks without taking damage.
”Curious...” He said, inspecting the dark cloak that he acquired as a result of crushing the Knight’s spirit. It definitely had some kind of charm or enchantment on it, but what that was exactly he’d have to find out for himself. Although perhaps someone like Kamek would be able to identify it? Something he’d have to consider a bit later. For now, the matter at hand was the sniveling Consul who for all intents and purposes was now at their mercy.
Sectonia was asking the questions, all things Ganondorf himself wanted to know as well, so he had no reason to ask any of his own for the time being. The two Orsterrans on the other hand, did speak up. Primrose in particular. She seemed surprisingly content to simply end the Consul’s life here and now, and that it was her thief friend who had to stay her hand. Curious, given their backgrounds one would think the roles would have been reversed.
By now, Ganondorf had put his shadowy helmet back on. He stepped forward to join in on the grilling, handing the Hat of Avarice back to Sectonia as he did so, ”Thou had best consider thy answers carefully.” He advised the groveling Consul. He then drew the White Sword from its scabbard and appeared to be looking it over and inspecting it. Almost certainly, the Consul would have recognized this as the sword that was intended to be used to execute the Warlord, and yet here he stood with it now in his possession. A subtle little reminder of just who it was they were dealing with and that he was not to be trifled with or taken lightly.
”My compatriots here do not appear to be in a very patient mood.” He added, then pointed the sword’s tip in the Consul’s direction, ”And I, even less so.” At this point Ganondorf’s message was loud and clear. The Consul could either cooperate, or find himself run through by the very sword that was intended to keep its wielder in check.
Word Count: 1,200 Level 7 Roxas: 71/70 Exp: +2 NEW EXP Balance--- 3/80
”So… it’s over?” Roxas asked, gasping to catch his breath. His health wasn’t in great shape and he’d just burned all of his MP on the Limit Break he used against Tycoon. But luckily for him, Blazermate and Sandalphon were around and he could get the healing he needed from them. After that he looked around at what was left of the platform they’d all been fighting on. Namely at the four Spirits that were now laying around the area.
”So many people… gone.” he said with a shake of his head. He understood that some people simply needed to be stopped… but that didn’t make the impact any less staggering. ”I wonder what happens now?” he asked himself. Shinra and Armstrong were both gone, so… who would be in charge now? Could anyone even be in charge now? He was sure some of the others would probably be able to answer that question better than he could.
Roxas began looking around more closely at the Spirits. Strangely, they looked like books instead of how Spirits normally looked. He wasn’t sure what was up with that, but he did notice that some of the other Seekers were able to use the books as they would any normal Spirit, so Roxas could safely assume they still worked the same way. He picked up one of the books, titled Infinite. Its pages contained snippets of Infinite's story. Something about a mercenary that was later fused with something called the Phantom Ruby. But everything beyond that was incomprehensible fragments. But there were intact sections that detailed Infinite's powers. He was pretty powerful from what the pages described. If fighting Mephisto and Tycoon had shown him anything, it was that Roxas was still a relatively small fish in this ever growing ocean of combatants and factions. In other words, he frankly needed to step up his game. Fusing with Spirits had made Roxas nervous before, but things had worked out well enough with RocktTrans, so maybe…
Notable spirit consumed: Infinite The host's outfit has become monotone, predominantly black and white. The robotic equipment is now predominantly silver, and smaller overall, with the helmet being more like a mask. One eye, seemingly opaque, functions as a visor that gives a HUD on the host's cooldowns if he closes his other eye. The host's eyes also happen to have bright yellow rings in the irises. His hair is a bit longer and thicker, swept back, with white tips. He does not have jackal ears, but the mask does. He's also gained a triangular ruby necklace that glows slightly, and pointy steel-toed shoes. This spirit offers the Strength Phantom Boost, increasing the user's flowmotion speed, aerial movability, and the potency of non-elemental power, turning it a vivid crimson in the process. it also confers the Weakness Great Expense, increasing mana consumption by 15%.
New Power Phantom Ruby Constructs: Roxas channels the Phantom Ruby to generate virtual structures. He can construct simple objects out of 1x1x1 foot virtual cubes, which inflict constant damage to entities touching them other than himself. A total of 25 cubes can be out at any one time, and they can be instantiated within 30 feet of him. If he's in the air, he can only instantiate once until he touches a non-cube surface again. The cubes contain the durability and consistency of pure glass, and so they can be broken or destroyed if hit with high enough damage.
New Strength Defender: A passive Ability that increases the user’s defense when their HP is low or critical.
Roxas gave off a brief localized flash of light, the telltale sign of a fusion. He’d picked up the book for somebody named Infinite and pressed it against his forehead. He looked around at how his outfit changed, noted the appearance of a necklace around his neck that contained a triangular ruby jewel. Not to mention the fact that his helmet had become more like a silvery mask with long pointed jackal ears, and that his now-pointy shoes were steel-toed at their tips. He also ran a hand through his now slightly-longer hair which took him a moment to realize now had white tips.
It also took Roxas a moment to notice that the right eye of his mask was covered by an opaque visor of some kind. And when he closed his other eye, that visor began to display HUD information, even showing an active ticking timer for his recharging MP, ”Whoa, that’s… different.” he noted to himself, then suddenly had the instinct to try something. He waved one of his hands and suddenly a row of 1x1x1 foot cubes appeared directly in front of him. They were crimson red, and looked dangerous to the touch, but Roxas found that he could touch them with no harm. Then he proceeded to vault off of them and summon a new platform of cubes underneath his feet to vault once again off of. But when he tried to do it a second time, it didn’t work and he instead went tumbling back to the ground.
Roxas then ignited the energy blade of his StepSword and noticed that the blade’s color had changed. Previously it was a bluish color, but now it was more of a crimson red tint. After he was satisfied with inspecting himself, Roxas rejoined the other Seekers to exit the arena and found himself in a mainframe room.
Around him, he listened to Midna, Goldlewis, and Sandalphon discuss and speculate on what this room was used for and what was going to happen to Midgar now, ”Are any of those cities even able to take in so many people at once?” he asked in reference to the evacuation options that Sandalphon provided, ”There were a lot of people living in Midgar… maybe even too many. Is it possible to divide the population into groups that go to different places? Without splitting up families, obviously.”
Sandalphon shook her head. “The places I mentioned are all just outlying support centers for Midgar itself. There’s no chance any one could sustain the whole population. They would have to split up, if they even consent to go.”
Of course, even that still sounded like a massive undertaking as well. Roxas got the feeling that no matter how the Seekers sliced it, this was going to be a very difficult time. ”And… are we still fugitives? Psych-OSF and the Administration are broken apart, but… how many people out there are going to be angry at us for doing this, even if it was for their own good?”
The more he thought about this, the more Roxas was starting to think that they may have just made the Ever Crisis even worse than it already was.
Goldlewis scratched his head. “Chances are good folks won’t know we had a part in it, ‘cept Luka, Yuito, an’ the like. Guess it’s up to y’all how much you wanna say in your announcements, if you say anythin’.” The big man had some ideas cooking, but he seemed reluctant to take the stage. As a longtime political aide, he knew firsthand the ramifications of public address. Something else occurred to him, though. “That is, unless the Consuls step in. Seems like Y’s history, but the rest’re bound to be more pissed than ever. They could really weaponize the storm that’s comin’. Skippin’ town sounds better by the minute.”
”I hate to just leave the city in chaos like that.” Roxas said, which actually kinda surprised him. As much as this city had rubbed him the wrong way at various times, it turned out he still grew to care about it in spite of that, ”But I guess it really does sound like we don’t have much choice. Not unless we can somehow put together a new Administration that can fix things…”
But where would anyone even begin to do something like that? Roxas was certainly clueless about that sort of stuff. He wouldn’t have even had any ideas for potential candidates, much less be able to do any of that himself.
“People haven’t trusted the government in years, but thanks to Public Security, they got kept in line,” Goldlewis. “And thanks to how Shinra handled the Machine invasion, I figure we’re at rock bottom. Broke beyond repair. We’d have to be a helluva lot worse than Shinra to uphold rule of law now, and I ain’t fixin’ to be.” He shook his head. “Shinra and the Machines were what kept folks here. With ‘em gone, there’s gonna be nothin’ in Midgar but anarchy. Every man for himself.”
Giovanna chuckled dryly. “Guess Armstrong got his wish after all.”
Roxas could only look down at this, having nothing left he could offer to say. Despite their winning the battle… he was feeling pretty defeated.
Personality: Falcon is confident, self-assured, and bold. He's always eager and driven to compete and prove himself, whether as a bounty hunter or on the race track. During interviews, he's known to maintain a calm and professional attitude. He's grateful for the fan-following he built up over his career and is always happy to greet a fan and sign autographs. He even tends to be cordial to his rivals, encouraging them to push their limits and challenge him anytime they feel confident enough. And he can also be quite the heroic sort, quick to save or protect a life if he has the means to do so.
Douglas Jay Falcon was originally a bounty hunter from Port Town. As a hunter, Falcon's record was impeccable which had earned him fame and infamy even before he became an F-Zero Pilot. As for why Falcon joined the F-Zero races, no one really knows. Even his identity is a closely guarded secret, as Falcon is never seen without his helmet and visor on. However, it can be assumed that he joined the races simply as another means to compete and push himself to his limits.
During his career as a racer, Falcon has met many friends and rivals - the most infamous of those being Samurai Goroh as well as Falcon's own evil clone known only as Blood Falcon. The latter was created by Black Shadow after he stole some of Falcon's DNA while he was hospitalized after a huge crash incident during an F-Zero race. In addition, some vital parts were also stolen from Falcon's machine - the Blue Falcon - during this time in order to serve as the basis for Blood Falcon's F-Zero machine - the Blood Hawk.
Thankfully for Falcon, he made a full recovery and entered the grand prix with a brand new Blue Falcon where he eventually came out on top as its champion. Craving another title, Falcon returned one year later to compete in the next F-Zero Grand Prix. However, he mysteriously vanished before those races started. He was in fact whisked away where he found himself competing in fighting tournaments against heroes and villains alike from other worlds, being what others would now call the "Original Smashers".
Like all the Smashers, Captain Falcon stood among their ranks when Galeem appeared and launched his attacks. And like all the rest, Falcon was defeated and placed under the light god's influence. Within the World of Light, Captain Falcon essentially resumed his career as a racer. He's stayed mostly in and around Hammerhead in the Paved Wilderness. But a new race held elsewhere has spurred him into traveling over into the Sandswept Sky to Carnival Town.
Specialty: Speed and Close Range (brawling)
Level: 1 Experience: 0/10
Powers:
Falcon Style: Captain Falcon's personal self-made fighting style. It incorporates quick and agile movement into lightning fast fiery strikes. Notable techniques include the Falcon Dive (in he grapples an enemy midair and generates a small explosion that launches them downward while also launching himself further upward), Rapter Boost (a forward rush attack in which he strikes with a flame-imbued uppercut generally leading to them being launched upward), Knee of Justice (a lightning-infused knee smash), the Heel of Shame (a downward kick with both heels that sends a midair target slamming back down onto the ground), and Falcon Kick (a flame-wrapped kick that either sends him sliding forward on the ground or flying diagonally downward if used in the air). But his strongest technique is the infamous Falcon Punch, a punch that is launched after a short wind-up in order to deal a devastating blow. It can be imbued with either fire or lightning.
Strengths:
Top Tier Pilot: As he is the winner of multiple races and at least one Grand Prix, Falcon's racing and piloting skills are obviously top tier.
Fast: Falcon can sprint and strike at blistering speed.
Toughness: He obviously has a degree of durability to him, considering his body can withstand the backlash force of his Falcon Punch without any injuries or discomfort.
Weaknesses:
Close Range: Falcon's attacks are all with his fists, putting him at a distinct disadvantage against ranged fighters.
Wind-Up: Some of his attacks require short wind-ups to hit with full strength, most notably the Falcon Punch.
Showmanship: Falcon has an unfortunate habit of calling out the names of some of his attacks as he uses them. It makes for good showmanship, but it also runs the risk of enemies learning to predict his attacks if a fight drags on long enough for them to catch on.
Word Count: 873 Level 5 Ganondorf: 49/60 Exp: 4 NEW EXP Balance--- 53/60
Well this was all just peachy. First the Radiance looked in danger of getting swallowed by shadows, then she managed to escape and was trying to fly away! How the bloody hell was Ganondorf supposed to give chase? He could summon the phantom horse but that could only go for so long and then what? Plummet to his death? It was all so vexing. But when the strange locomotive appeared, it at least gave the Seekers some kind of workable solution. And so despite being in the middle of a deadly battle, the warlord piled onto the train with everyone else.
It sped along through tracks that seemed to appear out of thin air only to vanish again once the train passed over it. One had to wonder if the pilot could make those tracks appear in any direction or if the train was stuck on a fixed track. But now wasn’t the time to be questioning the logistics of their transportation. Unfortunately there was little Ganondorf could do while they were still a distance away. He re-summoned his Moblin archers and they all took shots at the fleeing Radiance, but the constant movement of her and the train made their accuracy pretty abysmal.
It wasn’t until after the Troop had done their assault, when Sectonia summoned a large crystal, that Ganondorf realized that maybe he could do something. So he launched forward into a run where he then vaulted up to the crystal like a makeshift platform and proceeded to launch off of it courtesy of a bullet jump. As quick as he could manage, Ganondorf summoned the Phantom Steed before he could start plummeting back down and rode it forward in a charge toward the Radiance.
The Guardian in question shot back with lasers that Ganondorf was able to avoid by veering toward the side. But when it became clear that he wouldn’t be able to cleanly dodge the next volley of shots, he instead launched himself out of the saddle while simultaneously kicking the horse off to the side so they both would go off in opposite directions to avoid the volley of lances coming their way. Then Ganondorf used a midair jump to correct himself and once again launch toward the Radiance.
He came crashing into her with a Flame Choke. Despite there being no ground to land on, he could still give her a facefull of exploding dark flame regardless. But with her being in her Absolute state, well, frankly they were practically burning each other just being in close contact like this. So Ganondorf knew he had to finish what he was doing, and quickly. The quickest thing he could think to do was to power up a Warlock Punch. Normally this was a very telegraphed attack that could be easy to avoid if an enemy was quick and reflexive enough.
Which is probably why it was a good thing that Ganondorf was still benefiting from the boosts courtesy of the green mages’ spell. The speed boost from it let him charge up the punch in half the time it normally took him. And the attack boost would make it hit extra hard. Ganondorf released his grip on the Radiance and pushed himself off of her slightly so that he could then deliver his haymaker Warlock Punch in all its explosive glory. ”INCREASETH THY SPEED!” He shouted down to the train driver at the top of his lungs.
Magikrab wasn’t sure of what the warlord was planning at first, but increased the train’s throttle anyway. It didn’t take him long to realize that the train was now on a collision course with the Radiance and rammed into her full speed. As for Ganondorf himself, he managed to catch himself onto the saddle of his phantom horse and used it to ride back in the direction of the train. But the horse’s time limit ran out moments later, forcing him to vault from it with a bullet jump to cover the rest of the distance back to the train.
”AIM THY COURSE DOWNWARD!” Ganondorf yelled toward the front of the train, needing to practically scream in order for even his booming voice to carry forward, ”LET THE DARK ABYSS TAKE HER!” He added, clarifying his plan. The Radiance had been doing all those to escape from the darkness that tried to devour her after all. And now that she’d been caught by the ramming train? Why not let the darkness have the meal that was trying to escape from its jowls? As for the warlord himself? He drew his twin Greatswords and began to vault across the top of the train cars toward the locomotive engine where the Absolute Radiance was currently pinned.
”Ready thyselves!” Ganondorf shouted to other Seekers, ”It ends now!” At this point he didn’t care that getting near the Radiance harmed him. Just knowing that he could have the same effect on her made this more than worth it. Once he reached the train’s engine he would be more than happy to deliver a furious string of darkness-powered sword swings at this blasted Guardian.
Word Count: 720 Level 7 Roxas: 67/70 Exp: 4 NEW EXP Balance--- 71/70
Roxas sure was glad the poison clouds were finally gone. But with one problem going away, it ushered in new problems to take its place. Namely the rings that started appearing all over the place and detonating. The Nobody could keep himself out of them somewhat, but doing that meant less concentration on dealing with everyone’s real target - Tycoon. But if he could last a bit longer, his MP would be recharged and at least he’d have that to fall back on.
For the time being, he had to stay pretty defensive and evasive. Not only from the rings, but from occasional swipes that came from Tycoon’s big arms. His StepSword dash and the mental calculations that were made easier by the spirit within him were greatly appreciated. Roxas had no idea how he would have been able to keep up this kind of tempo without getting swatted or caught by a ring otherwise.
When Tycoon brought its arm down to slam on the ground, Roxas dive-rolled out of the way to narrowly avoid being squashed. He saw this as an opportunity and jumped up on the hand as it began to rise back up. Then he just ran along the arm for a couple steps and used the StepSword to dash at the Guardian’s face with a quick slice courtesy of the energy blade that ignited from his hand. The Keybearer was able to follow that up with a short flurry of Keyblade strikes at Tycoon’s face before noticing the other arm coming around for a swipe. So he dashed downward and out of its way, which also put Roxas back on the ground where he aimed up with his right gauntlet and fired off a charged shot from his RockGun at Tycoon’s head area.
This was all thanks to a bit of good fortune on his part, and Roxas knew it wasn’t likely he would find another opening like that again without using MP to create one. With that in mind, the Nobody simply went back on the defensive yet again. Although this time he wasn’t quite able to make a clean getaway from one of the rings, the resulting blast managed to barely catch him and sent Roxas momentarily sprawling.
”Gah, ow!” Roxas yelped, ”That’s what I get for pushing my luck I guess.” he muttered, pushing himself to his feet and refusing to let himself be slowed down by the hit. In fact there was already a frozen laser getting ready to shoot at him any moment now. Roxas went to roll out of its trajectory when suddenly the arena shook. Not that would hurt him, but it did throw him off his balance and sent him stumbling… just in time for the laser to unfreeze and clip him against his left side. Roxas recovered, but now he was starting to get frustrated.
So it was a good thing, then, that his MP had finally recharged. And so the Keybearer began to float in place and channel his Light. ”Alright, let’s see how you like getting laser’d!” As with his previous fight against Ninten and Lucas, Roxas began to call down columns of Light to strike the Arena around him. Their pattern was mostly random but he was able to keep it largely localized on Tycoon. Not that that would be particularly hard thanks to the Guardian’s large size making it an easy target. Tycoon did fight back though, attempting to swat Roxas with one of his arms or shoot him with one of his unfrozen laser shots. Between that and Roxas interrupting his channeling in brief moments to reposition himself to avoid incoming attacks, it almost looked like he was having some kind of laser light duel against the Guardian. And then Roxas intensified his assault, ”Give me strength!” and channeled his light more strongly. This made his light columns become bigger, stronger, and to begin striking faster.
Naturally this wasn’t going to last forever. Roxas’ Magic Hour Limit Break would run its course and be over soon enough. But hopefully he was able to deal some big damage with this and maybe give some others an opening they could capitalize on in the process.
@Achronum First note: That would be my mistake and I can easily correct that detail.
Second note: He has plenty of motivation to take the risk in helping the rebellion, it's in his biography. Parents taken away when he was small child, and he hasn't been able to discern the truth behind that event yet. In all fairness I could have made that last detail a little clearer so that's probably my bad.
Third note: Yes, although in all honesty a face-reveal wouldn't exactly be earth-shattering. I'm not really not intending that to be some big mystery. Sune really is just some guy who put on a mask and took to thievery and information brokering.
Edit: I have changed the last paragraph of the biography. It now reads as follows:
He's heard of the Rebellion through his network, naturally. But he hasn't joined them, not officially anyway. In his own words, he's "waiting to see how serious they are" before he decides whether to commit to doing business with them or not. No sense in backing a horse if it can't even finish the first lap of a race, after all.
"Keep the heroics to yourself. I'm just here to do business."
NAME
Sune
AGE
24
BIRTHPLACE
Presumably Ba Sing Se, but you'll find that Sune is not exactly forthcoming about his personal life.
ELEMENT
None
APPEARANCE DETAILS
He's almost always wearing his trademark white fox mask. Between that and his habit of keeping his hood drawn up, it's very rare for anyone to see his face.
PERSONALITY
Sune can be very difficult to pin down. The mask he wears prevents anyone from seeing his facial expressions at any given time. When he speaks it's typically in an even tone, though one that also contains just enough playfulness that you can never tell if he's being genuine or not. It's all part of the effort to maintain the persona of the mysterious masked man that he puts out.
Underneath the mask is someone who sees the threat that the Earth Kingdom poses, and detests it for the most part like the rebels themselves do. But Sune often refrains from commenting on the matter, insisting that interactions with him be strictly kept professional and nothing more. This gives him the air of someone who prefers to have business associates rather than friends. Though to be honest, who can really tell? After all, Sune himself is basically just a walking enigma of a man.
BIOGRAPHY
Sune actually was born in Ba Sing Se, that much is true. To a middle class merchant family of little real importance. Although if you were to ask him, Sune would simply tell you that his identity and parents don't matter. At some point in his childhood, both his parents were arrested by the Dai Li. Something about contraband allegations, the truth of which he's never actually confirmed one way or another. The real point is that they were taken from him, and he was shipped off to an orphanage in the aftermath. The orphanage was... not great, to say the least. Understaffed and underfunded, the place always seemed like it was under threat of shutting down if it couldn't make some kind of payment and meet some kind of city code.
And that was about when Sune started stealing. Food, purse-snatching, whatever he thought could be used to keep his home in the orphanage afloat. Not that he was a some great child thief or anything. On the contrary, Sune was caught several times. But as he was only a child at the time the most he could be given was a slap on the wrist and extra chores to do as punishment. So when thievery proved unsuccessful, Sune took to spying instead. This was something he actually was good at. After all, what important-looking officials discussing clandestine dealings would pay mind to some random urchin playing or scrounging around nearby? At first he tried taking incriminating information he learned to the authorities, thinking he'd get some kind of reward for it. Instead he was just turned away, nobody seeming to be willing to take him or his information seriously.
This was all because he was still just a kid, an orphaned urchin at that. But he wasn't a kid forever. As he became a teenager and those years eventually gave way to his young adulthood, Sune took to another form of business: blackmail. If the information he managed to learn about people wouldn't be taken seriously by police or the like? Then he'd simply sell it back to the people he learned it from under threat of exposing them. To accomplish this, he took to wearing mask and hood and gradually adopted the persona he has come to be known for now. But blackmail wasn't enough for him. So eventually Sune ended up becoming a full-blown information broker.
Now this proved to be quite lucrative. After all, there were people on both sides of the law that could make use of the kind of information that only someone like him could obtain. The orphanage he grew up at, and even many of the orphans who lived there when he did, all in their own ways became part of Sune's network. Those kids grew up like he did, went out and made lives for themselves in various places and professions. Those combined with the homeless population proved to be a rather fruitful way for Sune to keep his eyes and ears open all over the city.
TRIVIA
Sune is obviously not a bender. And he's also not a particularly skilled warrior either. But he's a sneaky bastard and very good at infiltration and information gathering. Not to mention a seemingly endless supply of acquaintances and contacts in various places and fields. Also, Sune isn't even his real name. It's just a moniker taken from "kitsune", hence the fox mask he wears.
