@The Spectre I fail to see how that is any different. You just described all the things people do with their racist "jokes." Sounds pretty hypocritical to me.

Damian scoffed playfully. "Decaf just defeats the whole point. If I ain't getting caffeine what's the point." He laughed and brought his hands up again, now that the shaking had subsided. "I think I was a little more wired than I thought I was is all." Damian grinned wide at Krystoff. "I ain't judging you two I just don't want you all giggly during a fight, I'm still recovering from the small heart attack Alexi gave me last night." He joked. They all had their coping mechanisms after all, he couldn't fault them for that. "But if you eat all the cereal then we're going to have to box."
@WittyWolf

Damian frowned. "No. I don't think he's going to listen to me." He stared even deeper at the mug. He'd would be lying if he didn't have some understanding of Jack's situation. He remembered the torture and abuse he suffered under the witch from the orphanage, the fear and anger she caused was permanently apart of him now. Even now, grown and strong, he still had nightmares about the woman. Unconsciously, his hands began to shake just at the thought of her. He placed the mug down sharply as soon as he noticed. "Well I've officially had too much caffeine."

He set the mug down and hid his arms behind the counter. "Anyway clearly the Jack situation is more delicate than I'm capable of handling, lets talk about something less depressing." He eyed the bowl of cereal Krystoff was eating slyly. "That's quite the appetite you got there. Whatever could be the cause of that?" The sarcasm was clearly evident in his voice.
@Leda
Damian's face softened at Izzy's words and he turned his gaze to the mug in his hands in contemplation. "Maybe your right. Maybe we're not family to him, just a means to an end..." The thought depressed him since he himself found so much joy in their ragtag family for more reasons than one.
@Leda

"Uh huh. Talking to Jack earlier just made me even more tired." Damian groaned in response and eagerly took the offered mug and sipped it. "Thanks Izzy." Just having the drink in his system had started to wake him up the more he had the less dead he felt. "Anyway someone else is going to have to talk to Jack, he clearly doesn't give a damn about anything I say." He frowned sourly and took another sip of his coffee to try and take his mind off the stubborn kid.
@WittyWolf Fine with me.
@MonsieurShade

Damian's head rose warily at the smell, taking a few small sniffs into the air to confirm the smell. His head fell to the counter top again but he began letting out a low moan while he clawed at the air trying to grab some invisible cup of coffee that wasn't there. "Must..have...the precious...Don't think I'm going to make it.." He groaned out to Dimitri in over-the-top fashion. "This is clearly what death feels like."
Damian looked up as Jack left, glaring all the while. "Then why are you here?!" He snapped louder than he intended. Too tired and annoyed to bother going after his younger brother Damian just sat there at the counter. "Why are kids his age always so damn difficult? Someone else better talk some sense into him before I hurt him." There was too much going on to let Jack's self destructive activities continue being a problem. "Stupid kid."
@Blizz "You know damn well how good I am with dealing with fire." Damian shot back without looking up. "It ain't a request, its happening or you lose your hunting privileges. I doubt Mathias will have a problem with it." He let out another yawn. "Like it or not your part of the family, little brother. You didn't want that you shouldn't have signed up for it."

He raised his head up slightly when he got a sniff of something coming from upstairs. "Really Lex? This early? " he mumbled. "I'm too tired to deal with that right now..."
Damian groggily lifted his head from the counter to see who had walked in and let out a yawn. Seeing it was Jack he placed his head down again. "That lone wolf shit is over, you hear me?"
Damian awoke with a groan as his phone blared loudly. He reached around for it on his nightstand, mumbling and cursing under his breath the whole time, the amount of sleep he got didn't feel like nearly enough but those were the breaks when you spent most of your time fighting monsters. He finally got a hold of the phone and shut the alarm off before falling out of his bed with a loud thud. "It's going to be one of those mornings, isn't it?" he groaned as he picked himself up off the floor, grabbed something to wear from his closet and headed towards the bathroom to take a shower. Once he was dressed and free of the stench of ghoul blood he headed downstairs and laid face down at the kitchen counter and waited for the others to wake up.
