Biography
Cyan lived all of his life in a small town quite far from Rhea, only travelling when he joined St. Laurel's Academy. Because of this, he knows very little other than what he researched about St. Laurel's itself; all he knows of Mephisto's is that they beat St. Laurel's the previous year, and he knows nothing at all about the Vigilantes. His family was quite poor, his father was a drunk and his mother had trouble taking care of everything herself. Because of this, Cyan became reliant on his power from a young age, despite the dangerous nature of it. This meant he was often making things worse for himself, a prime example being when he grew a tail. He had already been bullied harshly at school because his heavily worn, sometimes dirty clothes. Coming to school one day with a fluffy fox tail only served to make things worse. This has caused him to be even more self-conscious and nervous about it, and so he prefers, if possible, to stand with his back against a wall or tree to hide it.
However, despite all the negative effects, Cyan wouldn't stop using his power. He wasn't very academically inclined, nor was he very physically strong, so he continued to feel forced to rely on his power. In reality, he's much more capable without his power than he thinks he is. While he generally gets quite mediocre grades, he's quick-witted and perceptive. Give him a math problem and his head will spin, but give him an actual problem and he'll generally come up with a pretty solid plan of action.
Contradictory to how his power works, Cyan doesn't like taking risks out of fear that if he gets lucky then, he won't have the luck for when he needs it the most. He holds especially true to this when it comes to games, he refuses to play any games that have luck as a component, but he has no problem observing a game being played. In fact, he quite enjoys it, though most of the time it ends up being whoever is playing answering the many questions Cyan has about the game.
Power: Coin-Flip
Cyan can conjure a coin that when flipped, landing on heads results something good, and landing on tails results something bad. Before flipping, he thinks of a success result, something he wants to happen, and a fail result, something he doesn't want to happen. The results must be similar in how much they would impact him, so the more powerful the success result, the worse the fail result must be. When conjuring the coin, he can decide its design and material. If a coin already exists when he conjures a new one, the old coin vanishes, and if the coin is flipped without Cyan wishing to activate its power, it will work as a regular coin of that shape and material.
Flight or Fight
Because of the bullying when he was younger, Cyan used his power to give himself the ability to turn himself, what he's wearing, and what he's carrying, invisible whenever he was physically threatened. While directly in danger and for one minute afterwards, he can change between being visible and invisible. After the minute is up, he reverts to being visible.
An Actual Tail
When Cyan was seven he used "growing an actual tail" as a fail result for if he flipped tails. He now has a bushy fox tail growing out from behind. While he can kind of control it, he's incredibly clumsy with it and it almost always gets in the way. To make matters worse, it always gives away his emotions, whether he wants it to or not. When he's happy, it wags, when he's sad or lonely it droops, when he's angry it tenses, when he's nervous or scared it curls up. So it's less of a power and more of a curse.
Saint Laurel's Student
Of course Cyan knew about Saint Laurel's School of Academic Excellence. A school for the greatest of fighters, who won the grand tournament year after year. He was no different from anybody else in that he had wanted to go to Saint Laurel's since he was young, but he didn't nearly have the skill for that. He wasn't smart, athletic, and he didn't have a strong combat power at all. It was merely a pipe dream. However, after a particularly bad day at home, emotions were running high and he irrationally declared a wish to leave home for Rhea and be a Saint Laurel's student. His wish was granted.
Ghost Puncher
Cyan can directly damage the incorporeal energy remnants of demons with his closed fists. After a few well-placed hits, the energy disperses and disintegrates.

Relationships: St. Laurel's
Alto Ganze
Alto is beyond out of Cyan's league. Cyan only got into the school because of a heat-of-the-moment lucky coin-flip, whereas Alto made it to student council president in his first year, and one every tournament he's been in except the most recent one.
Katherine Abigail
Cyan isn't too familiar with the upperclassmates, but he's seen Katherine around because of his friendship with Cassius. She's tiring to be around, but she's been nice so far.
Ria Köhler
Another older student Cyan hasn't interacted much with, but this time by choice. Ria's personality is... well known. He does his best to avoid her.
Samoth Moskono
Cyan was pretty intimidated by the brash upperclassman when they first met, but after getting to know Samoth, Cyan found him to a very nice person. There have been several times when he stepped in to help the younger boy, and Cyan is very grateful. However, though Samoth considers Cyan to be a friend, Cyan doesn't feel the same way. He thinks he'd never be able to be friends with someone that much better than him.
William Ascot
Cyan doesn't know him very well for the same reason as Katherine, but he seems to hang out in the library a lot. It must have something to do with his power, Cyan can't really think of why anyone would apply for Saint Laurel's just to read all day.
Liselotte Castellan de Valois-Saint-Remy
Prideful and with a bit of a mean streak. Cyan would probably have stayed away if they weren't classmates. For now, he tries his best to pretend she doesn't bug him in case that fuels the fire. Especially, however, he tries his best to hide that he's in awe of her. Cyan had only ever experienced lower-class living, and she's just so far above that, he couldn't even have imagined.
Cassius Germaine
Cyan believes the two of them to be very good friends, often eating lunch together and hanging out in Cassius's dorm room. He really respects Cassius for both his friendly, laid-back nature and especially his putting up with his self-damaging power, something Cyan relates to. Plus, Cassius helps him with his studies, something he struggles with.
Andreim Volkazar
Cyan is just on edge whenever he's around Andreim. He hasn't done against Cyan yet, but he seems both selfish and ambitious, and those two together can be very scary. Cyan would prefer to stay out of his way and let him go about his business.
Relationships: Mephisto's
Clara Erdrigan
All Cyan knows about the student council president of Mephisto's is that she's powerful and has a magic book that can summon creatures. He knows nothing of her personality.
Other
Cyan has become very practiced in pretty much any parlor trick involving coins. Originally he was just trying to be able to flip heads 100% of the time, until he discovered his power made the flip a 50-50 chance regardless of circumstances. From then, he just practiced tricks for the fun of it.
