Ciara scoffed, immediately thinking of Gulliver and Valen. "I'd love to wipe the smirk off their faces."

"It starts by building a rumor. A rumor of power. This could be the place to start."

She took a deep breath, narrowing her eyes resolutely at the Undermage. "Head Advisor, with all due respect, you have no right to ask me about my intentions. If you want answers..."

She stood from her seat, rising to her full height. 

"You'll have to duel me for them."

Her breath caught when she felt the cold metal of a pistol against her temple.

"Put the heart down, and back the hell up if you want your friend to live," the guard said to Ellie in a rumbling baritone, digging the gun into Dream's head. 

Dream squinted at Ellie, vision blurred as she tried to breathe. The heart, glinting in Ellie's hands.

The doctor, his face turning white every time she asked what would happen if they failed. Above all else, he said, they had to keep the heart safe. They had to, even if it meant...

She snarled, her boot stamping down on the guard's foot, a burst of light bruising the bone. He yelped, losing his grip. That's all she needed, and she tore away. But in her haste, she saw his free arm reaching for her, and she slipped on panicked feet as he pushed her off the railing.

She held back a scream, staring straight down into the boiling pit below. The guard wrapped a tight hand around her ankle, and Ellie could see Dream's other foot flailing; she restrained herself poorly from kicking the guard, desperately hoping she wouldn't die.

As her captor supported himself against the railing, his pistol pointed at Ellie.

"I'll drop her, I swear I'll drop her!"

Deep, golden orbs stared back at her from within the cave.

God, she couldn't breathe. 

He was monstrous. The ground trembled under her feet as his rippling, massive body exited the cave. Thunderous footsteps left cracks in the dirt, his breath sent waves of heat creeping over her skin. The transformation was slow, but it looked like something from a nightmare with the way his long teeth were bared. 

A great and terrible roar sounded from his gaping maw.

She needed to run. Now.

Description: Rose decided that she would run a tavern and inn when she first encountered one and met an interesting changeling. Nyx and Rose quickly became friends after trying to drink each other under the table and the dwarven lady decided that if running a similar establishment could lead to more friendships such as theirs, it would be a worth endeavor.

It was by pure coincidence that the bubbly and stout Rose chose the location of Hathforth but it felt like fate when her and Nyx crossed paths again. As someone who’s always felt like she’s had a heart too big for the world, she vowed to help the changeling in their plight for revenge on the Wizard Queen. 

When she’s not serving alcohol and food to the citizens of Hathforth or setting them up with a room at the Rose Inn, she’s helping Nyx maintain her spy network by recruiting others to the cause or smuggling information that might prove useful. 

While she has a knack for reading people that some might call ‘magical’ but she swears it’s just her intuition. She knows what signs to look for when someone is lying and has carefully developed this skill over time. She does not possess magic or a seed.

@Click This You are welcome to adjust your seed in light of this minor change.

I'm considering having all PC dukes and duchesses having teleportation capabilities. However, they will be fixed to teleporting close to the ground. I would ask everyone to refrain form using teleportation that would result in an insta-kill for anyone else, like shoving someone into a portal that opens into the sea. 

You can have your mages have an 'aha!' moment if you like, or get your hands on the blueprints of teleporting. This will make it easier so I don't have to skip ahead by a week to account for all the different ways of travel to get to any place.

What does everyone think?

After a bit of thought, I'm considering how we do teleportation in Arrowfell. Some of us have access to the whole realm, while others have limited access, and others still have no access (horse and carriage). 

So I was wondering if anyone had some ideas on how to make this a bit more even. Shall we make teleportation universal with limitations? Shall we restrict the high-end teleportors we already have?

The end goal is to make this aspect of Arrowfell a little more fair for everyone involved. :>

Let me know what your thoughts are!
