The Status form logs all my recent form inputs. It's scary to think how a wrong press of the button can expose your darkest secrets..

Bio

A pretty chill guy that's active in very unusual hours. Currently working on his Bachelor's.

Open to most types of RPs, with Romance being the only genre I have an aversion towards.

for some reason i am really nervous writing my guys introduction right now

Don't worry, nobody will jump at you.

On a side note, my tone seemed a bit aggressive in the OOC OP, might want to fix that later.
Either way's fine.
Everything's set. The thread begins!
[Park Entrance - East] (Alba)

Tap, tap, the rhytmic sound of a wooden walking stick against the paved road accompanied the chirping of the morning birds. The spring air was fairly cold and blue, but comfortable. The owner of the walking stick was a short old man who appeared to be in his sixties, with grey ashen hair that he went through great pains to style properly. He came dressed in a suit of black, fairly formal as garments go, but not too out of place against the serenity of the park. His sharp eyes betray his supposed old age, as does his healthy skin coloration.

Alba was his name, "What a nice place. Taking some time off might be the correct decision after all." he said to nobody in particular. His voice was slightly rasp, but firm and showed no lack of control. He walked to the side of the street, eyeing a white orchid upon which a small butterfly rests upon. As if reacting to the stare from his blue eyes, the butterfly fled off, causing Alba to emit a slight chuckle. He looked around; spotting not a single person, "Looks like I am the first to arrive." he said. His stray left hand moved to rub his beard for a second, before he returned to the middle of the road.

Taking his time, the old man slowly walked down the path.
Professor Alba
An independent researcher and a senior alchemist. Short. Quarter-Musionian, which makes him somewhat long lived at ninety years old, although he looked two-thirds his actual age. A bit unmotivated and took everything in stride, especially now that he's in a very peaceful park for a vacation.

do we have to wait for you to post first? or should we post then we add our character to IC?

I haven't written out the basic location descriptions, so wait a bit.

Sounds like this could be fun. Is it okay if our character description is something more like a CS, or would you prefer just a paragraph?

A paragraph is better. Do seperate them by character name if you bring more than one.
Would it be okay if my oc was from a fandom

No, sorry about that.

Sounds like this will be fun! Quick question though, how many characters can we have?

There are no limits, per se, but ideally you should be able to write for all of them with sufficient depth and attention to their interactions.
Welcome to the first installment of Roleplayer Guild's Character Development Thread! A writing exercise and a collaborative writing effort aimed at fellow writers. Interested? Be sure to give the OOC header a read, and feel free to join in afterwards.

If the length of the thread becomes a bit daunting, don't be afraid to ask for a summary at the OOC.

The warm morning sunshine peeks out from the eastern mountain crest, litting up a good part of the park. Very faint clouds decorate the sky, and a thin fog envelops the greenery of the park, upon whose leaves dew rests aplenty.

Time of Day : 8:00 AM
Weather : Clear, slightly windy.

OOC is up. Might want to wait a bit until I can spew some blurbs about specific area.
So basically we all take characters from our own ball game and pit them at one thing

No, your characters aren't going to be 'pitted'. I strongly note that the nature of this series of threads is collaborative, not competitive, and not to think of this as a generic multiverse crossover as it is a writing exercise (with all the baggage it implies). If the player behind a character deliberately acts in a disruptive manner and without respect to other writers' wishes, he/she should expect the boot. On the other hand, a player shouldn't whine when things don't go as what he/she had in mind.

I allow bringing characters with high 'power levels' and normal civilians, but if, say, the writer for this completely defenseless girl-in-a-wheelchair wants to develop his/her character while being unharmed by the far more powerful characters, other players better do their damnest to prevent their magic-and-gun-slinging characters from harming her, even if it means OOC; unless, of course, they have consulted with the the player him/herself and she gives the OK.

OOC will be up shortly.
