Vivian felt herself drift into a dream. It was a dream of the old days she had back deep in the underdark. She found herself standing in the center of a large chamber. Many of her brothers and sisters were in the room as well. However, something caused them to leave her side. They all stepped back separating themselves from her. She found out to be the cause was her mother. She had a finger outstretched and pointed at her. "You have failed me for the last time Vivian,...You and your pet have once more failed to locate your traitorous sister Cassandra. Not only did she escape from you but in the process caused every member of your squad to be slaughtered by what I am told was a giant basilisk. Your magic should have been more then enough to battle it, yet you and your team failed. Your men petrified." Her mother said. Vivian gulped and looked around. None of her so called family stepped up to defend her. She then stomped her foot on the hard floor. "Mother I am not as skilled in sorcery as you believe I am. I was not ready for a mission yet! Had I studied more in the library I would have succeeded." She yelled back. Her mother sat back on her throne and smirked. She then laughed and then looked to those around Vivian.
"This my sons and daughters is what one looks like when they have utterly failed. Look at her and study her. See how she has fallen and learn from it. Do not follow down her path... or suffer her fate." She said. As she spoke Vivian's eyes widened and she brought her scythe up ready to defend herself. Her mother then rose up a hand into the air. "The one who kills her will take her spot..." She continued and Vivian could feel her heart ache. She was about to get ready to swing her scythe ,but then her eyes opened and she was back in the desert. She sighed and wondered if she would ever be able to sleep perfectly again. She awoke to what would seem like chatter among her two companions. A simple one of one about Catarina's weapon. The sun was also in the process of turning the night sky black again as it came down over the hill. It was still several good long miles away but the light of the city could be seen. It would still take them two days to get there. Well make that one day now seeing as this one was about to end. However, with the sun going down it cast shadows from the hills. Making somethings invisible to creatures not accustomed to the darkness. Not like the way she was. However, the light that remained made it impossible for her eyes to adjust so even she was useless. She did see something she recognized. It was a familiar scene to all off them. All of them that remained anyways. Except something was missing. The blood remained and one body that was cut in half, but the other corpses were gone. She rose a brow and rose up from her spot. The orc bodies where gone.... maybe the sands covered them. Yes that had to be it... the bodies couldn't have just gotten up and moved. She then pulled from her hip the chalice. She then recalled the temple of Nerull and then back at the spot.
She sighed and shook her head. Not our problem right now. Our problem was to deliver the chalice to the mages guild and get paid for it. Not go instigating something that did not concern her. Malkai would likely call her stupid or something. She then turned her head and could see something hiding in one of dark shadows of one of the hills. The shadow wasn't too dark and she could see something,... shiny. Then it moved and was once more seen. It must have spotted them because it began to move out of the sand. The thing was an orc but something was wrong about it. As they got closer to the position a foul smell of rotten flesh began to find it's way to them. She narrowed her eyes as if trying to pick up what it was.
Falchion would see it as a walking buffet of carrion. A dead orc still moving. It dragged along with it the weapon it died with. A great axe. The orc zombie wasn't alone as more began to emerge. Something wasn't right here... as if something came along and brought their dead back to life....
"Um guys do you see that?"......

Erika smirked at his response to her warning. He was a tempting little snack but now was not the time to induldge herself in such things. Perhaps later though.... "Well then,... perhaps we will revisit that question another day, Veridis." The great temple of Pelinor was something. She wondered if this branch would be just as breathe taking. Unless the shit that grew from this city has stained it with their dirty hands. Okay I will admit that not everyone here is dirty. Some are clean and just trying to live their days as much as they can. Not all of them did so by the rules though. Some resorted to pickpocketing but that was not her concern. It was who they prayed to when they lost hope and need more of it. Who did they turn to.... Pelinor?..... if they had prayed to any of the other gods that are considered good then she wouldn't be here. Some of them worship another god... the signs of the vampire's foothold here was a good sign of that. Thugs hitting people in the streets. Not just any bloke but one that looked like he might have been carrying a lot of coin or perhaps something their master fancies. The bard is a lot of eye candy even for her tastes. Something a vampire would more then be happy to sink his pointy teeth into. And whose to say this Wilhelm is even at the top of the food chain. He could just be a spawn. Or he could have spawns. Questions she would ask of the priests. The church's dispute was with the guild but unless this vampire has connections to the cult she wouldn't even get involved in that.
The eyes of the people were most certainly upon them too. She did not think she was the one that they were mainly eyeing though. She bet the bard attracted a lot of it. Perhaps the warrioress with the hammer too. Clerics were really something. They all liked hammers or maces. Never swords or axes but things that were devastating. Then again... a sword wound can be survived. If a hammer or mace hits you with enough force it could leave you with a wound or pain that you will always be reminded of when you sit or move or internal bleeding. Wonder if the hammer was a holy weapon... god knows these two were going to need one if they were to join her in this vampire hunting. "By the way,... you are to not tell anyone about why I am here. If people found out that there was a possible vampire in the city they would panic... and not only that lynch the wrong people. I have seen it happen before.... its how he got away from me before. He got away while I was forced to clean up the mess of a city turning on itself..."
