[Iratze]
@Blackmist16Thankfully, the other god had much to say, stories to tell of his time away.
With his magic he made a book appeared. It was beautifully crafted, red with gold embroidery. She giggled at the small miracle. She appreciated seeing even his smallest tricks. She knew well how much small things mattered.
You would not know it from looking at her bright appearance, from rainbow hair and shimmering accessories, but
inside all the colors had dulled. She was one who had lost her power and her purpose. The small goddess felt even smaller as each year past. Even though the situation was dire and the stakes were high, being around the other deities, carrying messages, and here with Armarion about to hear him spin a fantastic tale… She felt a little brighter on the inside, more like herself.
”I don’t suppose you will let me read this one….” She stopped speaking, noticing the tear on his cheek. She suspected then, that like herself, his time trapped on earth had not been so easy.
Then he whisked her aside. She, even in her earth-bound form, would seem as light as air. He stood close to her now, her back pressed into the wall near a doorway. She was shocked by what she heard him say.
The god had told her many stories, but never had divluged his true secrets.
’What could be so important to him? Why would he tell me?’”True, you have known me long. And I have known you just as long... I knew you from the day the Sun and Moon birthed you.” Iratze had been constructed before the Sun and Moon had their children.
”You were then, as you are now, such a mystery to me… Full of magic and mischief and…” she cut herself off, he was trying to stay calm but also seemed ready to implode if he kept his secret any longer.
”Of course you can trust me. I keep all your words close to my heart.” She touched her chest over the place her heart would have been
if she had been human. She remembered each of his stories as diligently as she remembered any official message.
She was nervous, she had carried secrets before, but they were always meant to be released to another. Never had such a message been for… well… for
Iratze. That thought alone made her shiver, made this moment...
Special. How could she refuse him?
”I will keep this secret for you, Armarion.”
