When you have to disable a new 'advanced' search to get proper search results and learn that 'advanced' means 'AI'. Let's rename it artificial superficiality, short 'AS'. Not to be confused with...

I'm slightly proud of myself having overcome my hate for indoor spiders a bit over the years. In my youth I often eliminated them, now I carry them outside in a jar. Spiders here are harmless though.

Believe me, if they could, the entirity of Southern Germany would send you all the rain they had over the last couple of days. I'm just not sure you'd actually want the widespread destruction.

Finally managed to catch the mouse. Our cat must consider me the most incompetent person of all times given how she watched instead of helping. She dragged the problem in though!

Bio

Welcome to my profile page!

Who the hell is this person behind those many miles of fiber optics and copper cable ?

  • I'm a 34 year old guy.
  • ... who's working as a software developer
  • ... and enjoys roleplaying as a casual hobby to distract himself from ongoing stress

And into which hell will I descend with you participating in one of my roleplays?

  • I'm a fantasy addict: medieval high and low!
  • I'd consider myself to be a low casual roleplayer, 3 paragraphs per post on average.
  • My schedule varies. It might happen that I won't be able to post at all for a week, but then again it might happen that I'll reach a sweet spot inside which I can go on a posting rampage. I'd say one can expect 1-2 posts a week from me, depending on the lengths involved.
  • English is not my native language, but so far I've not encountered anyone who had had trouble with me over that :)

Want to RP with me ? Shoot me a PM, but don't shoot me!

Thanks for visiting!

@POOHEAD189 My half-elf half-giant is going to strangle Vanya. With a brand-new piece of black-yellow 'CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION - DO NOT CROSS!'-tape. The police is never going to catch him while he is standing inside a square made out of THAT!
I'm not worried about that post at all. What should happen ?

Sudden assassination attempt on the entire party ?
Overloaded beer barrel carriage running over them as they step out of the tavern ?
Dark elves already at Riverhope's doorstep ?
An-Hasst hits his head on the doorframe on his way out, blacks out, falls back and cracks his skull on the floor ?
The entire party has to gird up their loins, but following this extremely complicated instruction sheet takes so long that they fail in their quest ?

You see, absolutely no reason to be worried about anything :O

"I think..." Madawc started digging into his pockets, apparently most of them were empty or filled with other things than coins. "... the equivalent of two hundred seventy seven... or so. Do you need a good one ?"

Asmund Gjanarsson

Asmund caughed. The mixture of ash and dirt had hit him right when he had been taking another breath. It took quite a bunch of seconds for him to get his respiration calm enough to speak again.

"I'm feeling quite a bit fed up with this. If you would allow..." The gifted didn't ask for a response. It might very well be that Laurel was able to stop Vlad, but Asmund knew that he was a different case. The huge man hauled himself towards to charred remains of the tree that had collapsed in front of them. His shirt was very wide, but the moment he tensed his almost inhumanly looking heap of muscle, it was clear that he needed every inch of it. There was no groaning or anything else that would indicate that he was putting himself under a particular amount of strain. After all, he was currently wearing Megingjörð. It was more like a gentle behemoth slowly pushing an obstacle out of the way when Asmund lifted one end of the trunk and turned it by 90 degrees around the other end still lying on the ground.

"And here we go..." Quickly, he had his arm around Vlad's waist and lifted him as if he weighed nothing. "If I see any indication of fire originating from you now I'll break your arm. Believe me I can do that..." Now he turned his attention towards Laurel and started walking slowly along a path that would lead him and Vlad around her current position. "I would appreciate it if you accepted it as a solution that I will try and take our mage here..." - he hooked in the strange hammer in his belt and started stroking through Vlad's red hair gently - "to a boat and head out into the lake. Water should be a quite robust training target for fiery magic, shouldn't it ?"
@Eviledd1984

"Hmm... not much." Madawc replied, leaving the question how much 'not much' really was unanswered deliberately. "Why do you ask?" He wanted to find out what they intended to spend his money on first. "You want to buy another horse or what ?"
@Eviledd1984

Madawc was close to feeling embarrassed on behalf of Xavier and what was happening behind him. "Don't you think it would be better if we get Bette her own horse ? Would relieve yours of the strain, too." There was a little, but noticeable bit of demonic chuckle in his tone...
@Ellion Do you already have an idea if it will be more of a reboot or a continuation ? Or something completely different ?
I don't know iwaku either.
An-Hasst had to suppress a chuckle. The trail of slime that this other guy had laid out with so much effort for the Queen's sister to slip upon was... awe-inspiring. What was his name ? Oh well... the half-elf half-giant didn't know. He didn't know the name of anyone here, with the exception of Vanya. A major flaw resulting from himself being late that required fixing once he had the opportunity. For now, Settionne was secretly assigned the designation the-guy-who-does-barely-reach-my-waist by the elf. Last but not least he hoped that some of the others shared his opinion about this kind of verbal approach.

Even without her verbal explanation, the images presented by the Queen's sister would have been quite acceptable as an answer for his question. With it, they became just even more dreadful. It made the half-giant even forget that the reward would be his weight in gold, despite the fact that this meant that he would get much more than everybody else of the party. It was clear that something had to be done, and fast. Perhaps if one had been able to travel to the northern shores and tell the Andred people about this, valuable resources would have been transferred to fight against this threat instead of continuing a stupid war. However things weren't that easy. If they had been, the queen or her sister probably would already have initiated efforts going in this direction. And how could he know that they didn't ? Perhaps they had failed.

It was when Alice brought up the question about assistance that An-Hasst made his full return to the here and now. "Yeah. Will there by any members of the guard accompanying us ?" Something told him that this would not be the case... "Also we will need supplies, and probably mounts if we want to be fast. I don't know if everyone has already got anything necessary or will be able to muster it in a reasonable amount of time." Oh... he had entirely forgotten to explicitly tell her that he accepted the quest. Hopefully the implicity in his questioning would not go unnoticed.
@Eviledd1984

Madawc followed, but not without a noticeable bit of hesitation. A bit more information would really have been a good thing, but no... He wouldn't get it. Damn Bette! Everything had been so nice and slow and easy before her appearance, and now... The demon vigorously pulled at the reigns of his horse to make it go faster.
