You ever realize that you haven't changed your status in months, go back to change it, and then wonder what the *fuck* your previous status was even talking about?

No, no, they clearly are referring to Ohio -- which Georgia is geographically south of, so the theory is still sound.

Wait a second... Yuuma... Mirai... Shia...

...Is that a Build Fighters reference I see? 0.o

Also, interesting power set. I don't think we've got anybody with a technology motif yet.

Well, at least they didn't laugh at her.

Although, it wasn't really much better this way, either, no matter how Kyōka looked at it. From the moment she'd begun her little introduction - only reluctantly transmitting her phone number over to the other two girls' phones as she did so, as she really wasn't sure yet whether she could trust them - the two of them had been giving her a very odd shared look. The pink one who hadn't spoken yet even gave her a big grin and made an odd squealing noise, like she'd just seen a cute puppy. Kyōka could practically feel herself being looked down upon, and her shame only built. Thankfully, it didn't last long, as the aforementioned Magical Girl jumped right in on the heels of her own introduction, and did so with considerably more zeal than her shyer counterpart. Posing flamboyantly, she introduced herself as...

"The Pink Delinquent?" She whispered to her fairy, her voice muffled by the other girl's continued speech.

"Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a Fairy companion with naming sense as good as mine, my dear miss Kyōka," Ariel replied, seeming tremendously pleased with herself.

"I see... Um... Thanks."

"Not a problem - all part of the job. Besides, I've had practice."

It seemed like the... umm... Pink Delinquent - it was still a little hard for her to take that name seriously - specialized in remote-controlling ribbons to attack her enemies. It seemed like something like that would be difficult to control properly, though. After all, Kyōka herself could barely keep control of a simple one-directional force output. She couldn't help but marvel that this other girl was able to keep it all straight. Even if she had a silly name, Pink-senpai was definitely somebody to be respected. Perhaps she'd take her up on her offer for advice... No, no, that would be too embarrassing. Besides, she'd only waste her time, and as an experienced Magical Girl, her time was valuable.

Unfortunately, speaking of the duties of a Magical Girl, it seemed like she'd be having to do her part after all, as at that moment, the fairy who'd introduced herself as Megumi seemed to notice something, and, in perfect sync, Ariel followed suit.

"Miss Kyōka, I don't want to be the bringer of bad news, or force you to do this, but it seems we'll have to fight after all," Ariel said gravely. Kyōka shuddered. Hadn't these two experienced magical girls referred to this as a "powerful" Negari? Was it really okay for an inexperienced amateur like her to get involved? More than just worrying about the potential for interfering with the others, Kyōka wondered if she could even do anything, or keep herself safe. "I know it's unpleasant, but if this creature is being drawn to our magical signatures, think of what will happen if you retreat. There's a chance you might lure it directly into a more populated area." Well, she couldn't really argue with that logic, but even so... She struggled to find a way out, only to draw a blank. So there really was no choice but to fight... Her legs were quivering a little, but she tried to hide it, took a deep breath, and stood her ground, bracing her right leg against the concrete. A faint violet light shot through the seams of her boot, and a similar glow began to build in her gloves.

"U-umm... I'll... do what I can to support you, then, senpai!" With that, she'd officially volunteered. Even if she wanted to, it was too late to regret this now.
Okay. I'll keep that in mind, since it's pretty much sure to come in relevant for Aegis sooner or later. XD
...Also, come to think of it, can Fairies heal magical girls who aren't their own partners, or is it just a contract thing?
Question. What if a magical girl loses some kind of major faculty after becoming one? Like, how far can Fairy Healing actually restore people? Does it just take care of minor things, or could it literally restore things like lost limbs/eyes or undo nerve damage?

Ah. Another one showed up.

Kyōka peered anxiously between the two rather imposing figures. It was fairly obvious at a glance that they were both older than her, and they both seemed a lot more calm about this whole situation than she felt, so it seemed likely that they were both veterans of some level of experience. Of course, it was obvious that there was no Magical Girl less experienced than she was, but even so, she couldn't help but feel more than a bit nervous in the presence of her superiors, especially considering that they might be angry at her for trespassing.

Kyōka glanced between the two. The second to arrive - a shorter girl with bright pinkish-red hair done up in twintails like hers usually was, and clad in a similarly bright outfit - was the first to speak up. She seemed like she was trying to resolve the situation, which put Kyōka a little bit at ease. After all, if there was a Magical Girl serving as a mediator, a fight wouldn't break out, would it? She took a few deep breaths while the focus was off of her, trying to calm her nerves enough to speak properly.

The second of the two arrivals, however, didn't seem displeased in the slightest. Although she'd seemed pretty intimidating considering how quickly she'd shown up and her mature appearance, she greeted the two of them politely enough, and said they'd do best as allies... She even suggested sharing phone numbers, something Kyōka hadn't done in... in... well, when was the last time she'd done it, anyway? She couldn't really remember... Did this mean that they wanted to be friends...? It seemed too good to be true, though, especially since the dark-haired girl kept shooting her suspicious glances every now and again that set her distinctly on edge.

"U-umm... As Ariel-san said, I'm Aegis Violet. My powers are pushing and pulling on objects, but... I'm... new to all this, so I'm not sure how useful I'll be to you. Ah, but if there's anything that I can do, then... erm... I guess... I'll do my best.... So I'll be in your care." She bowed awkwardly. She hadn't stammered much, but she kept having to pause to catch her breath because she'd freeze up every time she tried to look at them. She must have looked so stupid. She couldn't even bring herself to blame them if they burst out laughing at her - after all, it was ridiculous, wasn't it? A Magical Girl, acting scared...
...Ok. 0w0
I get that. I shouldn't have butted in without taking the whole focus into account. Again, I'm really sorry.

...I'll just shut up now. >_>
This definitely seems like an interesting prospect, and I'd love to try playing as a Soul. Here's a question, though. Do the Souls tangibly appear in the reality they're summoned to, or is what is summoned only a projection of their real self elsewhere?
No, no, I'm not demanding that you change things. I'm just saying that there's an overlap and so that if you wanted to switch to magic guns, you could use that to do the same thing but in a completely different way through recoil-boosting. But, if you don't like that idea, I'm certainly not ordering you to scrap everything anyway. Do what you want. I just wanted to offer an alternative possibility that might make magical guns make more sense for her so that she could keep the gunslinger motif, which seemed like the most important part.
