You ever realize that you haven't changed your status in months, go back to change it, and then wonder what the *fuck* your previous status was even talking about?

No, no, they clearly are referring to Ohio -- which Georgia is geographically south of, so the theory is still sound.

@byteoflogic Huh. Well, not to be rude, which I know I'm going to probably end up being anyway, so I pre-emptively apologize, but a slight change of focus might actually not be so bad. Her whole "reinforces body with dangerous amounts of magical energy to perform increased physical feats at the price of possibly sustaining damage" is already really similar to Aegis' abilities, especially since they both have boots as a focus.

If you switched out her focus to "magic guns" then you could still have a similar fighting style just by doing things differently. Namely, pull a Ruby Rose and send yourself flying all over the place with the recoil of firing magically-empowered guns, while also pulling functionally infinite firearms out of nowhere to keep going. Plus, a Magical Girl's transformation and armaments are based on the user's personality, so there's really no rule that says that your aesthetic has to be all cute and girly. They could easily look like normal firearms.
You become the supreme master of surrealist comedy anime parodies.

The ability to always know what time it is in a very specific small village in Scotland, with the drawback that you can never actually go to said village in Scotland.

@ChickenTeriyaki Sorry, but I don't really have too much time on my hands right now. ^^' Also I'm not entirely sure how PVP on this site works, so...
Killer Queen has already touched that onion.
I think we are, yeah. Not sure, though. You'd have to ask @VitaVitaAR

Also, a bit late to this one, but I've seen the term DFA used a lot to refer to "Death From Above," too. I think it's mostly a bit of video game slang, actually, since that's where I usually hear it.
Step 1: Speak to bees while wearing protective gear. Step 2: Be attacked by angry bees who can't hurt you due to aforementioned protective gear. Step 3: Lure angry bees to your enemies. Step 4: Defeat Nicholas Cage once and for all. Step 5: Achieve victory.

You have the power to make any car you drive become a Pinto, and any phone you use become a Galaxy Note 7.

you are going to LOVE hoshi's upgrade path.

You had my interest with Char.

Now, you have my UNDIVIDED ATTENTION.

...Also, Hoshi and Kyōka still totally need to become friends because A: the dorkiness would be IMMENSE and B: they could do some really crazy stuff by combining their powers.

...Come to think of it, though, I don't actually have any real ideas for an "upgrade path" for Kyōka, in that she probably won't be getting any new forms or abilities. She's probably just going to steadily adapt to using all of her energy because

On a totally unrelated note, every time I read "Noriko" I just think Gunbuster.

...Maybe I should have created a hot-blooded magical girl using Nono as an image for the transformation... Actually, damn, why didn't I think of that sooner? This thread deserves more Inazuma Kicks.
I think that's being unnecessarily fancy and I'm just here to cut monsters up. All attempts at random artsiness are going to go over my head because there's no chance I'll read that deeply into it. :T

Fair enough. I usually start the same way, then my character ideas get more complex retroactively and I pretend that I intended it all along. :P
So perhaps by lampshading the edginess and having her not necessarily be taken as a serious threat? Perhaps because her powers are fueled by negative emotions she's not actually that strong in comparison to the others and has to try and learn the virtues of 'not being shortsighted' and 'focusing every waking moment on being a force for change is just going to burn you out and make you more miserable'...

That could work. I'm doing something similar myself with Kyōka, since she's basically meant to be a bit of a deconstruction/eventual reconstruction of the usual socially insecure junior high student with conveniently absent parents who gets to be a magically empowered hero and tries to do her best to fight evil, come what may. In her case, she accepts the offer and takes her role just as seriously as your traditional shy character in a mahou shoujo anime, but her family issues, social awkwardness, and insecurity don't just go away because of that.

(I'll just conveniently leave out the part, by the way, where I planned exactly none of this and just kind of decided on this as my intention retroactively. XD)

But FRIENDSHIP, Raine! FRIENDSHIP is NEVER irrelevant!

...Also what show even is that? That sounds amazing. XD
