Well, at least they didn't laugh at her.
Although, it wasn't really much better this way, either, no matter how Kyōka looked at it. From the moment she'd begun her little introduction - only reluctantly transmitting her phone number over to the other two girls' phones as she did so, as she really wasn't sure yet whether she could trust them - the two of them had been giving her a very odd shared look. The pink one who hadn't spoken yet even gave her a big grin and made an odd squealing noise, like she'd just seen a cute puppy. Kyōka could practically feel herself being looked down upon, and her shame only built. Thankfully, it didn't last long, as the aforementioned Magical Girl jumped right in on the heels of her own introduction, and did so with considerably more zeal than her shyer counterpart. Posing flamboyantly, she introduced herself as...
"The Pink Delinquent?" She whispered to her fairy, her voice muffled by the other girl's continued speech.
"Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a Fairy companion with naming sense as good as mine, my dear miss Kyōka," Ariel replied, seeming tremendously pleased with herself.
"I see... Um... Thanks.""Not a problem - all part of the job. Besides, I've had practice."It seemed like the... umm... Pink Delinquent - it was still a little hard for her to take that name seriously - specialized in remote-controlling ribbons to attack her enemies. It seemed like something like that would be difficult to control properly, though. After all, Kyōka herself could barely keep control of a simple one-directional force output. She couldn't help but marvel that this other girl was able to keep it all straight. Even if she had a silly name, Pink-senpai was definitely somebody to be respected. Perhaps she'd take her up on her offer for advice... No, no, that would be too embarrassing. Besides, she'd only waste her time, and as an experienced Magical Girl, her time was valuable.
Unfortunately, speaking of the duties of a Magical Girl, it seemed like she'd be having to do her part after all, as at that moment, the fairy who'd introduced herself as Megumi seemed to notice something, and, in perfect sync, Ariel followed suit.
"Miss Kyōka, I don't want to be the bringer of bad news, or force you to do this, but it seems we'll have to fight after all," Ariel said gravely. Kyōka shuddered. Hadn't these two experienced magical girls referred to this as a "powerful" Negari? Was it really okay for an inexperienced amateur like her to get involved? More than just worrying about the potential for interfering with the others, Kyōka wondered if she could even do anything, or keep herself safe.
"I know it's unpleasant, but if this creature is being drawn to our magical signatures, think of what will happen if you retreat. There's a chance you might lure it directly into a more populated area." Well, she couldn't really argue with that logic, but even so... She struggled to find a way out, only to draw a blank. So there really was no choice but to fight... Her legs were quivering a little, but she tried to hide it, took a deep breath, and stood her ground, bracing her right leg against the concrete. A faint violet light shot through the seams of her boot, and a similar glow began to build in her gloves.
"U-umm... I'll... do what I can to support you, then, senpai!" With that, she'd officially volunteered. Even if she wanted to, it was too late to regret this now.
