You ever realize that you haven't changed your status in months, go back to change it, and then wonder what the *fuck* your previous status was even talking about?

No, no, they clearly are referring to Ohio -- which Georgia is geographically south of, so the theory is still sound.

Dropping this here before I get off for the night, but here's the bio I have for Suzuka so far. I haven't added character opinions yet, but I did include a couple important mentions in the backstory segment.

Hope you all like her! :>

Ohhh, this is an interesting concept, and that's coming from someone who usually dislikes school settings, ha. Makes things feel much more real when the characters have various kinds of relationships with other PCs and not just a bunch of NPCs running around in the bg of a 1x1!

Unsure if you've room for more, and unsure whether I can commit, depending on how fast paced this'll be, but tentatively interested if you're still looking! I am trying to get back to the site/writing after a hectic life atm. I usually veer towards playing jocks/delinquents/jerks with a heart of--- well, if not gold, then like... uh, bronze? Someone who can be fixed develop as things progress.

Could also play a girl, if one's needed though!

I'd absolutely be down for adding another character or two to flesh out our cast. That also definitely seems like an archetype that could play well with what we've already got, since most of our current characters are some degree of wholesome and only slightly rough around the edges.

Also, as Lems said, shoujo love triangles are always a possibility, lol -- or, if anybody else is interested, we could also add a sixth too to balance things out. Either way, looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
Oh no he's cute

Good to know. I mean, he was 12, so imagine that filtered through dramatic preteen hormones. He was seriously sad (although he's going to deny this HARD when they reunite).

Oh, yeah, absolutely. I mean, she's more or less the same herself. Probably overanalyzed the heck out of every message he sent her after the move, thinking things like how much he seemed to be enjoying himself and how her not being around anymore probably didn't matter too much. These two dumbasses are so caught in their own heads, it's gonna be wonderful seeing both of them trying to be casual about it once they reunite.
Urge... to mess up Eikichi's hair... rising...

Only thing I'd add is that Suzuka probably held off on telling him until almost the eve of the move because she was worried how he'd react, but she did probably explain why she was moving out close to the last moment rather than just ghosting him. Likely would have tried to keep in touch for a while but didn't have a phone of her own so it was kinda difficult, and eventually they fell out of touch. Still probably feels like she left him behind, regardless, though.

Absolutely! I put Eikichi down as a second year. I definitely sense a lot of "I won't let you leave me this time" potential...

Oh we absolutely love to see it.

At any rate, I'll work on getting an OOC for this set up hopefully tomorrow. In the mean time, feel free to use this thread to brainstorm any pre-existing dynamics.
Great! For the character section, my guy's name Eikichi ^^

Ah, yeah, it goes without saying that we can edit names and relation details in as we iron things out.

Speaking of which, for an added detail, the meeting circumstance I had in mind for the whole childhood friends bit is that Suzuka's single dad was probably a bit of an absentee parent out of necessity, working tons of hours to keep food on the table and such, and so there were a lot of nights when he couldn't come home from work and she thus ended up staying over with the family next door, and ended up befriending their son in the process. More or less did everything together, partly because she felt at home there and partly just because very few of her other classmates could stand her, since she's a terrible conversationalist and the epitome of awkward. Had to move away and stay with her grandparents during middle school though, since her dad's job transferred him overseas, so she ended up vanishing for like three or four years before abruptly transferring back in first or second year of high school after getting permission to live mostly on her own. Sorta tries to pick things up where they left off, but isn't really sure how welcome she is or if they're still friends and all that. The classic reunion, basically.

Do you think that sort of history between them would work with Eikichi's background?
Here we go. Cribbed the general style from a few previous RPs I've been in (what can I say, I'm a hack and a fraud), and tweaked it a lil to suit the purposes of this RP. If we get two more people interested, I can add more footnotes in the character relations segment, otherwise going with just 4 will honestly work fine.

Word of warning, it's a little bit buggy until you add in a character color code. Just look for the capitalized spots and slot it in and the format should more or less display correctly, though the alignment can look a little bit off until you slot an image in and add some text to the body of it. Just let me know if there are any problems with it and I can help fix it.

I'm working on a CS format as we speak, should be fairly basic stuff. Appearance, backstory, some bullet points for personality and maybe character relations. I'll drop it here as soon as I have it ready.

Hmm... I wonder if Foxy went to great lengths to be perceived as cool by a certain someone when he made his high school debut...?

Oh my god, that's wonderful. They're both down so bad and yet neither realizes it because of how many levels of self-consciousness and mixed messages they're on.
