Current Talk to your players and be open to their ideas, at the end of the day we're all just here to shoot the shit.

Honestly, more structured/collaborative roleplays can be really fun and rewarding, but if you're going to open a project like that up you have to be flexible and open to compromise.

But god knows how many hours I've sunk into my collection of main series Pokémon game, so it's like making me pick between my children. :'D

I mean, I write MUCH more Digimon-related stuff than I write Pokémon-related stuff, so I guess it wins by default in this context.

As the slight vibration passed, Vincent felt grateful for just how slight it had been; looking down at the puddle in front of him, a stronger tremor could have ended up very badly for him.

In any case, it seemed his idea had been on the mark; when he rose from his crouch, it was with a flask full of Acid Slime residue.

"Not a bad haul," He mumbled to himself, as he let the acidic residue around the mouth slide down into the flask before closing it up. Tucking it in his case along with the four vials of Poison Slime, he headed for the second floor. He wasn't even at the top of the stairs when something- no, someone seemed to fade into view near the top of them.

"Hey," came the voice from the familiar figure as Vincent finally reached the top.

"Hi." Vincent replied with a nod to Senna. It seemed he hadn't been mistaken- the others were making their way into the Labyrinth again after all. "Did you feel that tremor just now?"
By the time he'd reached the third floor, Vincent felt the entirety of the paralysis wear off of him. Heeding the warning of Alexander and Senna, he stayed away from the entrance to the fourth floor and instead chose to examine the mass of gelatinous corpses spread over the surface of the third. He'd already gathered a substantial amount of Poison Slime residue from what was left on his coat (which he'd carefully scraped clean with a knife- what remained of the Slime made it too dangerous to wear, but not to carry with a gloved hand), so he focused on collecting the Acid Slime.

Or at least, he'd intended to collect it before he'd been fed some additional information on its properties. He didn't exactly consider any of the empty vials he had in his case 'enchanted', and he didn't feel like potentially sacrificing one of them to the slime to find out if they would be able to contain the residue. Instead, he just collected what he could of the Poison Slime splattered across the floor, filling up his remaining two vials for four full total.

With that done, he remembered the other piece of information he'd been given, about the statue- spying it at the edge of the room, by the stairs to the fourth floor, he carefully made his way over to it, and carefully nicking his finger with the edge of one of his knives, pressed the bleeding tip to it.

About a moment later, he took a step back, a little spooked by the new voice that had shot through his mind and described in detail what he'd only been given a rough explanation of before. Another moment passed, and he just shook his head. He'd already heard about previous happenings in the dungeon when Thoth let her mouth slip, this wasn't too big a surprise.

Rather than use the statue immediately, however, he decided to turn and go back the way he came. Maybe someone else was making their way down- even if they weren't, he appreciated the ability to move freely again too much at that moment.

That, and he had an idea. From one of his pockets, he produced the flask that had contained the 'Intermediate Antitoxin'- he doubted any of his vials could properly contain the Acid Slime, but perhaps one belonging to a God would do the trick?

So, crouching by the pile of residue, he carefully gripped the base of the flask with his thumb and forefinger, and slowly pushed the mouth through the acidic puddle...
To clarify before anyone asks questions, Millenniummon isn't dead quite yet. Parasimon's attack is powerful, but won't outright kill it due to high resistance to this kind of attack (basically ridiculously high special defense, if you want me to liken this to Pokemon).

That said, if anyone else wants to fire some kind of hugeass lazor/wyvern nuke/etc etc at Millenniummon whilst he's getting hit with the Omega Burst, it'll overwhelm it enough that the resistance doesn't matter. So if anyone wants to get in one last effective attack on Millenniummon, please do feel free to go for it.

‘Mouthy little cunt, isn’t he?’ Parasimon mentally grumbled to Examon over the Hazard link, his tone implying he’d like nothing more than to clock the Biomerged Knight with a good solid blow as UlforceVeedramon started lecturing them. With the two Hazard Knights working on disabling Millenniummon’s arms, they couldn’t move far from their current positions, leaving the cannons to sputter out and begin to lose traction with the creature’s body by themselves.

‘Don’t you even start,’ Examon grumbled back, far from in the mood for the attitude from Parasimon or even UlforceVeedramon himself. “Shut up and get to work yourself!” He started, yelling at his fellow Knight as he drove his lance deeper into Millenniummon’s flesh. With Rodendramon seizing and savaging the other arm on Parasimon’s side, only a single arm of Millenniummon was left unimpeded by attack. UlforceVeedramon’s own contribution seemed effective enough, as the beast began to scream as the Trinity Rays made successful contact with its eyes.

“Quit your whining, I’ve got it!” BanchoLeomon roared over at the two as he delivered one last punch to Millenniummon’s ridiculously hard Digicore before vaulting up the beast’s body and onto its shoulders. From there, he gripped the right cannon with both hands and pulled. With a herculean grunt of effort, he started to rip the cannon out inch by inch.

The abomination in the sky screeched in distress as it was ripped apart from all sides. UlforceVeedramon’s attempt to blind it seemed successful, distracting it with pain to severe for it to pay attention to the efforts of Examon, Parasimon and Rodendramon. Bit by bit, Millienniummon began to come apart. As BanchoLeomon tore both cannons out, he leapt back down towards the beast’s chest and went back to trying to smash its core.

And that was when the arms came off.

A raging torrent of black, burning blood came bursting out of the mangled stumps of three of four of Millenniummon’s arms, and myriad screams filled the air; one of mortal and overwhelming rage and pain from Millenniummon, and two deep roars of triumph from the two Hazard Knights.

Examon doubled back as he dropped the arm he had torn from Millenniummon’s body into the ocean below, dodging a clumsy, futile swipe from the blinded abomination as it was further crippled. Setting down on the edge between the Tokyo mainland and it’s bay, he saw Parasimon grip another of Millenniummon’s limbs in two of his own four arms, and saw Rodendramon disappear from sight.

“SKREEEEE!!”

He was about to leap back into the fray when he heard the sounds of fear from behind him.

Out of instinct, he turned, and was greeted with the sight of Dorugoramon, perched on a rooftop with no intention of heading over water to try and savage Millenniummon as it had done earlier.
He narrowed his eyes, staring at the Mega.

The feeling from earlier returned. Millenniummon had been within the realm of expectation, but this new Digimon was a complete anomaly. Furthermore, every Digimon he knew had come to the Human World to prepare for battle had been accounted for-

All but one.

As gears turned in his head, Examon wondered why he hadn’t realized it sooner- the distinct feeling of wrongness about Dorugoramon had been one thing, the logic of its appearance was another- but now the sound of its fearful cries at the sight of the water before it...

‘... Hydrophobia.’ Siggy whispered to himself, within the union of minds.

Meanwhile, the scene over water was far less solemn.

As he tore the limb free of Millenniummon’s body and dodged its furious counterattack, the air was filled with a deranged, triumphant chorus of laughter from Parasimon. The Insect Knight’s body began to darken with a sickly black aura as he tightened his grip on the severed arm- the destructive power of the Hazard coursed through the limb, breaking the super-dense data down.

Millenniummon had been an abomination, no doubt. But now that he was able to sample some of its data, Parasimon could see that it was an order of abomination far above even him- the data in the artificial Digimon’s arm alone felt like several whole Digimon torturously and hideously forced together into a form they didn’t belong in, and the sheer quantity of different data types was horrifying. It had been a challenge enough newly-formed- Parasimon shuddered to think what it could have become given time.

But that feeling of horror was nothing before the sense of power he felt as he absorbed the mass of broken-down data from the abomination’s arm. His body began to overflow- the temporarily-stable mass began to feel the tell-tale signs of degradation, much like what he had experienced the day before.

It was too much data, and he had to get rid of it somehow.

Thankfully, he had a way.

With a clear view of the empty distance behind Millenniummon with his position in the bay, Parasimon’s body began to glow as he called on the reservoir of Spirit Elemental energy within him.

He considered calling on the Brahmastra again- but he thought better of it. He was here to stop Millenniummon, not ruin the city more permanently than the abomination ever could. So he reached deeper into the reservoir, seeing what his years of using the spirits had to offer him before-

‘Perfect’, He thought to himself, as he found and settled on the very technique that the Brahmastra had been derived from. Inefficient and unwieldy, but absolutely perfect for the situation.

“GET CLEAR!” Parasimon roared to everyone that was still within range of Millenniummon, as a distinctive golden diamond formed before him.

Nodding up towards Parasimon, BanchoLeomon kicked off of Millenniummon’s chest, firing off a black-tinged Fist of the Beast King at the core as he did so. The blowback from the blast pushed him clear out of range of whatever Parasimon was about to unleash, and the lion plummeted towards the ocean as gravity took hold.

As above him, Parasimon let loose a savage, raging blast of heat and light from the diamond, the entire world seeming to become nothing more than a tremendous inferno as the Knight forced every bit of the data he’d taken into the attack.

And as the Omega Burst hit Millenniummon head-on, a piercing scream of rage, pain and fear filled the air, loud and desperate enough to cut over both the roar of the blast and the sound of the water below boiling.
For Voc birthday someone should make a post! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

not until later, just got back in from doing shit at fresher's and i'm worn out
"...!" It took a fair bit of effort for Vincent to not fall backwards as Alexander seemed to fall into existance just a little shy of him. He certainly hadn't been expecting that.

It was only a few moments later, however, that the other person he'd been intending to keep an eye open for appeared- this time in a much less surprising way, as Senna came out of the mouth of the cave. She started talking as he recovered from his moment of shock, and as she told him about their encounters, the ever-helpful annoying voice supplied him with information.

As intimidating as the idea of the 'Metal Slime Floor Guardian' was- a formidable and deadly sounding foe to be sure- the thought of the Acid Slimes made a small part of him curl up and die.

"Just my luck..." He grumbled, cursing his short-range weapons.

Nonetheless, Senna continued, pointing out Alexander's state before parting with a warning about one of the floors they'd cleared. Vincent nodded appreciatively, only sparing a slightly envious glance at her haul as she left him with Alexander.

"If you don't mind, then, I'll go and get my coat whilst you recover," He replied to the Ares Guild member, as he resumed his walk towards the mouth of the cave. "I'll take your word and hers about the fourth floor, but if the slime on the third is still fresh, it might be worth taking a sample for later."

If Senna was going to do him out of all the immediate material wealth, he was at least going to make sure he got his hands on plenty of raw ingredients.
I'll post for Vinny when I'm home, just been doing uni stuff today.
Alright then, posted with an opening.

Whilst the remaining weight and friction in his joints had continued to dissipate during his walk to the entrance of the Labyrinth, the trip still took Vincent far longer than it had when he'd initially ventured into the dungeon with Lynn. He hadn't seen the girl on his way over, nor Alexander or Senna for that matter- he supposed they were either still attending to their own business or had headed into the Labyrinth without him.

He couldn't help feel a little rankled by the thought, though he quickly shoved it off to the side. Alexander had been more than helpful earlier, Lynn had done as much as she could with her present ability (and the considerable sum of gold he still intended to ask her about helped), and he could hardly fault someone as young as Senna for not being overly concerned with such things.

And he had to admit, he would likely have done much the same- as he proved to himself when he began to make his way towards the mouth of the cave. He'd go retrieve his coat, at least, then he could either see about finding the others in the Labyrinth or head up to meet them on the surface if they hadn't beaten him to the punch after all.

So, as carefully as he'd carried himself the rest of his journey, he slipped towards the cave entrance, just passing the statue when-
