The students are all what Salem Witches' Institute classifies as "Acolytes". Think middle school versus high school, where acolytes are the high schoolers and neophytes are the middle schoolers. Acolytes are 4th through 7th years, so the age range is 14 through 18.

Magical Race (named thusly because I could not think of a better moniker) refers to any magical background in the witch's blood. This could be if they have any veela in them, any goblin or giant, etc etc. If there is none of that, then just put down witch or wizard.

If you know me, you know in the past I have created many variations of Salem Witches' Institute. I first created the Harry Potter based RP when I was around fifteen, and then I rebooted it for the last time when I was eighteen. All of those times, I had been a horrible GM and it had died. This time around, I pledge to be a better GM!

This is a plot-driven RP placed in the world of Harry Potter in which all American lore is absolutely ignored because it is 𝓼𝓽𝓾𝓹𝓲𝓭. As I stated, this roleplay will have a plot, but it will be applied very loosely with plenty of events and slice of life moments to be had inbetween!

As a GM, I want to create a space that is about having the best roleplaying experience. When it comes to accepting characters, I am looking for the best 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗬𝗘𝗥𝗦, not the best writers. As such, I reserve the right to turn away people which I believe will cause problems within the roleplay. However, I want it to be known that I will be fair in my judgement! I know I might be on shaky grounds with some people, but I will not judge based on my own personal experience but rather repertoire with other accepted players.

This roleplay takes place in the Harry Potter universe in 2020. It has been twenty-one years since the end of the Second Wizarding War, a war that none of the current students have witnessed but still feel the effects of. Blood status is still a big point of contention among wizardfolk. More controversy has been growing between wizards and magical creatures, who are demanding equal rights. There are rumors that a rising supremacist cult seeks to take power from humans.

Your characters are returning to Salem Witches’ Institute after summer break. They all are acolytes, meaning they fall somewhere between being fourth years and seventh years. Characters will be reacting to the combative environment around them while dealing with growing up, harsh school assignments, and a little something extra too!
