Raising her arm, she indicated she was ready. After being given the OK, Artemis started her approach, picking up speed as she ran. High jump was always one of her best disciplines and right now she was attacking a 160 centimeters bar. She always made it here, but then it was more of a roll of a dice whether she would pass or not. It annoyed her to no end that something so important for this such as her height was not in her control and something she could improve... Well unless you experimented with platform boots, but that reeked of broken ankles and wasn't exactly sporty.
She watched the blasted bar approach, laughing her straight in the eyes which were level with it. With a grunt of effort she flopped herself over, and things started happening.
She wasn't sure what it was that she was seeing. IT looked like some sort of large, red draconic robot. It seemed to be in a fight with a creature full of bright colors - to which it was losing badly. One blow later, the large robot thing split into a tiny purple dragon and a human woman of all things. Both of them slammed into the ground, and the human seemed to look at her directly, and spoke with a thick russian accent: "Tis up too yoo now." Then the other creature approached, raised it's foot and-
-Artemis slammed onto the mat, the pole falling form the stands and giving her a good whack on the head for good measure. What the heck?! Random insane visions were not allowed to mess up her performance! What was that even- The girl shook her head and went bakc to try another time.
It was not to be. The weird vision burdened her thoughts and she was unable to focus enough, failing the jump two more times and falling out of the competition. What finally made her think that her head was wrong in some way was when she found a strange phone in her locker. She wondered briefly whether to take it ot to give it to lost and found, but curiosity nagged at her enough to look if anyone was looking in her direction and then drop it into her bag and head home.
What's even more interesting is, that according to the theory, if you were to go past c, time would move backwards from your point of view and people would observe two of you.
“The first and greatest victory is to conquer yourself; to be conquered by yourself is of all things most shameful and vile.” - Plato
Artemis O’Connor
Alias: Arty Age: 16 Gender: Female Height: 168 cm Weight: 68 kg Birth Place: Dublin Western Zodiac: Aquarius Eastern Zodiac: Tiger Voice actor:Siobhan Thompson Theme
Appearance:
Arty is a sturdily built girl, whipped into shape by constantly pushing her body past its limits. Her heights is petty average for her age, although she weighs a bit more, a given with her exercise schedule and love of sports. Her skin is lightly tanned.
She almost never bothers putting on any make-up, making her look a bit rough around the edges, something that’s often accented by grit and sweat. Her face is a bit angular with pointed chin and prominent cheekbones. Her eyes are a very light shade of brown, drowned out by the mass of her equally colored hair.
She usually wears clothes that allow her a large freedom of movement, often sleeveless tops and cargo pants. It doesn’t bother her in the lightest that the scars she picked up via her many falls are visible. The only scar she has that sends unpleasant memories into her mind is the one on her belly when her appendix decided to quit on her.
Despite having the body of an athlete, she can relax perfectly, oftentimes slouching in her seat and melting into a soft couch. She usually keeps still when seated, but if she is on her feet, she will be moving, even if she was to just bounce on her feet.
History:
There is not much of note in Artemis’ history other than perhaps her name. She is the daughter of a greek immigrant, but takes almost exclusively after her irish father, inheriting none of the southern looks. She’s lived a more or less happy life of a middle class child, albeit she had a bit tense relationship with her mother due to her hobbies and how she spends her time.
She passed through high school with acceptable grades, not because she is dumb but because she found it hard to focus on studies, wanting to make a career in sports, whether it meant going pro or running a gym.
Personality:
Artemis lives in the here and now. Her impulses yearn to be free, and are often loosed when others least expect it. If she is forced to represses these impulses for a long time she feels 'dead inside' and may eventually cut and run.
The girl may be quite charming and ingratiating on first acquaintance, flowing with compliments which may (or may not) be deserved. On other occasions, she may be aloof and detached. Artemis is fiercely competitive, especially in sport or table games, and may has great difficulty losing - any loss in her mind is just a step to victory, a learning experience, a limit she has to break by pushing herself harder. This competitive nature sometimes fosters 'lucky,' 'gut' feelings and a willingness to take risks.
She spends most of her time doing one sort of sport or the other, from running to javelin throws, but she excels in individual sports only, having no talent for working with others, feeling like they are a potential weak link that would drag her performance down. This way, she only has herself to blame if things don’t go as planned. This of course shows in her day-to-day life as well, with Arty hardly ever seeking company of others, although she would not back out if the company found her. She works alone though, even if it’s for a common goal.
Spirit evolution
Digimon:Agunimon Description: A hotheaded digimon in its own right, Arty’s influence gives its power a direction: To be the best fighter there ever was. She searches for a good fight, and doesn’t much care who it is she fights. Theme
Beast spirit evolution
Digimon:Metalgreymon Description: A true beast, Metalgreymon is anger given form. In this evolution the digimon’s influence beats Artemis’, and she fights with instincts and brute strength rather than drawing on experience and tactics. Theme
Fusion evolution
Digimon:Wargreymon Description: Drawing on both human and beast spirits, Wargreymon still likes a good fight, but unlike her predecessors she has the urge and will to use her power to aid others and rid the digital world of conflict. Strangely, having a purpose other than to be the best seems to only enhance her abilities. Theme
Unified evolution
Digimon:EmperorGreymon Description: Reaching a perfect balance between the spirits rather than using them in conjunction, Artemis is able to evolve into EmperorGreymon. This form however takes massive effort and will to sustain, but the additional armor and sword can be what decides the battle in her favor. Theme
Hmm, villains are a tough call. My favorite villain of all things everywhere will forever be Illidan Stormrage, albeit recently he's not that villainous. But from comics, it is a tie between DCs Mr. Freeze and Marvel's Magneto. I like villains that can do the right thing once in a while.
Edit: also, when we say Batman, I tend to really prefer Terry McGinnis form Batman Beyond. That series was epic :)
Iron man (Who could have guessed? ) I have a background in mechanical engineering and it's the first superhero I came to contact with (The shitty 90s animated series unfortunately, but I was a kid so I lived it) That is if we're talking Marvel. From DC it's definitely Batman. Similar to Stark, I like the fact that through ingenuity and persistence the normal humans can match and beat superhumans of various kind.
I am thinking Artemis could just tag along, brooding about not having aa kickass cute pet of her own until they meet some sort of guide character or a plot place where she learns how to use it. That or regular ol' life threatening situation.
P.S. you told @TalijaKey about this right? :D I just stumbled on thia check by chance.
