Just a few things I feel like I should point out. Artifacts are basically non-consumable items (e.g. weapons, rings, shields, armor, etc...) that are highly enhanced magically in some way or another. Once a mortal or deity decides on a type of artifact they wish to create, they can then collect resources, or in the case of deities just conjure them up unless they're extremely rare, though a mortal can also conjure up more simple resources as well. From there they pour in magical energy, either from their own power, the environment around them, or both. You still need some experience creating an artifact though, and thus a mortal that specializes in thunder magic would have a lot of trouble creating a water dagger unless they actually had some specialization in water magic as well. Deities can bypass this rule through the use of divine magic, and they can even just charge an item with "raw" divine magic instead if they want. This would effectively give the wielder control over any field in magic until it runs out of mana. Divine artifacts need to be recharged by a god once they run out of energy though, so most artifacts are based off of arcane magic instead.

Regarding your character @Klomster

Notes: Even if you focus heavily on the creation of artifacts, you still have more than enough divine magic to easily create a fire tornado or an arcane thunder storm.

Appearance: Regarding his size, He should at max (in base form) be around 12 - 15 feet tall. Growing any size larger than that should be reserved for other occasions. You're still allowed to keep yourself always at the larger height if you'd like. Just keep in mind if you become severely injured you will be reduced to your normal size. (I probably should have specified this though)

Skills: Your character is not the greatest at creating artifacts. He only excels at it (by quite a lot) compared to other characters around his level.

Preferred Field of Magic: Please limit yourself to 1 - 5 fields of magic.

Fighting Style: Please elaborate. How does he use his sword? Does he fight with misdirection? Does he swing wildly? Does he fight in a skillful manner? Does he have any strengths in combat? (e.g. bypassing his opponents defenses, fighting against multiple foes, etc...) What weaknesses does he have in combat? Is he clumsy? (for a deity) Does he tend to leave himself open when he has the upper hand? Does he have trouble hitting faster opponents? etc...

Artifacts: Your hammer should not be the first hammer in all of existence. (Just reread it as "told to be the first hammer" so please ignore this unless you wanted it to actually be the first hammer)

Pocket Dimensions and Home: Is there anything outside of the foundry? Or is it literally just the foundry by itself? (Keep in mind your portal dimension should not be more than a couple miles wide)

Biography: "A biography detailing the growth and popularity of your character as a deity, as well as how the followers view their deity. Are any of their views regarding your deity incorrect?" You left this as the first sentence. :P

You should not have been born on the first strike of a hammer against an anvil. This should be a misconception as your character would not have lived at this point in time.

Also what species of mortal tends to worship you? (I accidentally forgot to add this in, so it's not your fault)

Contradictions: You were born when the first hammer struck an anvil, but you also have the first hammer in all of existence. In your religions lore, does this mean you stole the first hammer in existence from some guy after he hit it on an anvil?

It's finally here everyone! It would have been ready two days ago, but I could hardly get on the computer. Sorry about the long wait.

When you think of a deity, what do you imagine? Do you imagine an all powerful being capable of omniscience? A being so powerful that they created both the world and the mortals that inhabit it? Well what if the world and mortals had already existed beforehand, and the mortals were actually the ones that had created the deities? Well, a long time ago in Altreni, mortals began to pray to fictional gods, creating religion after religion in an effort to explain the world around them. After many centuries of praying and building monuments in the name of the non-existent gods, these non-existent gods actually came into being.

Shortly after being born into the world the deities realized that the prayer from the mortals was actually a large source of their power. In an effort to obtain more strength they aided the mortals, keeping watch over them and even giving them special powers and blessings to those who were truly devout and/or impressed them. Due to this, prayer and worship increased rapidly, resulting in the birth a whole slew of deities. Eventually the deities became powerful enough to create small pocket dimensions. The first pocket realms created were very small in size and used as homes or thinking spaces for some of the deities, however as more gods were created a bigger more ambitious realm was created that would serve as the main homes for most deities. This realm became known as the Upper World, and with every new deity created, the realm continued to expand and grow.

Overall the world of Altreni seemed to be a great and magical place to live in. Sure there were wars and blood was shed between different kingdoms and religious groups, but for the most part the world was very stable. Of course, things could not always stay this way, as one deity named Jeno decided that the best thing for Altreni was to overthrow the strongest deity known as Alithos. By setting up a fake meeting between just the two of them, Jeno prepared for an ambush. Alithos however, was too strong and was able to win in the end, banishing Jeno to the void for eternity.

Once news of Jeno’s banishment reached the mortals a large amount of worshippers revolted against the gods and stopped praying entirely, leaving the deities in a much weaker state. Jeno was supposed to be the god of peace, so why would he attack Alithos, the strongest deity? The former worshippers began to paint Alithos and many of the other deities as murderers and traitors not worthy of receiving worship. Virtually every deity was affected by this rapid decline in worship, excluding a few minor deities that were worshipped by only one or a few minor races as the majority of people that abandoned the gods were human.

With the collapse in the power of the deities, Altreni became politically unstable as new wars and conflicts began to arise. To make matters worse, Mysterious Beings were beginning to appear at a much quicker rate. It’s only a matter of time before things spiral out of control.

Character Sheets

Note: Keep in mind that Mortal characters should be very strong for their race. Also feel free to worship another PC god if you play as a mortal.

Rules:

1. Nothing is absolute, any attack can be countered, dodged, overpowered, or blocked. It is impossible to have an attack that always hits its mark or an attack that can pierce through anything.
2. No godmodding or metagaming
3. All the rules of this site still apply. (Obviously)
4. No controlling, or killing any other character that is not under your direct control.
5. Do not determine the outcome of an action by yourself unless it is used in your own side-quest/path that is not being parsed by either me or the Co-host.
6. Don’t post a character sheet in the character sheet tab until I confirm that your character is good.
Consider this shameless bump ;).

I just wait on your response on the concept I sended via PM :D.

And well, new players wouldn't hurt either as well :D.

Right now there's not to much left to do other than one big block and a half. After that I'll get to your character if that's alright with you. I want to focus on finishing up the game thread as quick as possible so you guys don't have to wait longer. XD
Progress on the game thread continues! :D
Sorry it's taking so long, it's been kind of busy for me lately.
Dreaming up a concept, if I get hooked on an idea I shall throw in a character.
In the meantime I will follow this to see how it progresses.

What's the plot or purpose of our characters?
Or is it just open world?

It's a mix of open world and storyline. At the beginning there will be more open world missions that will take place, but as time goes on more of a plot will begin to take shape, namely centering around the appearance of more mysterious beings, the decline of worship, and some other stuff that would spoil the story.

Hopefully I'll be able to start the game soon.
Actually: Questions.
Do you need more people and is there an estimate on when the start'll be?

One more person would be nice, though in the meantime me and BC are just working on the rest of the details and actually setting up the RP thread. No current estimate on when it will be up though.
Interested in joining. Leaning towards trying a reaperesque god of death character, if possible.

That's great! Glad to have you aboard. :)

Do you have any current questions regarding the RP?
@Klomster Yes of course, as with most RP's you can gain more power over time.

Also I'm glad you enjoy this premise so much. ^^
