Kukukukukuku...

Kekekekekekekek...

WAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!

*power trip intensifies*

I'll accept. Thankee, Gnar~ Anything in particular you want me to do?

With great power, comes great evil as I usually say~

Hmmm, just keep an eye on things and lay down the smack on people. The usual I say.

Although! For a test run as Co-GM, I'll be giving you reign over the groups who are in "The Ruined City of Mankind, Halton" and "The Nest of the Highborne", since their stories haven't been fleshed out quite yet. You're free to torture, entertain, and have fun with them as you see fit~ This'll also give me a chance to see how you do with World-Building as well!

Aye it seems like a very visual puzzle, and not being able to actually see it like our characters makes it a tad harder to figure out. I got my own ideas of course, but I'm really not sure if I have the right idea.

I say feel free to discuss it here; considering the puzzle is a bit hard, I'll allow some metagaming~
Oh right Gnar, just to make sure I have this clear, but the room is as follows right?

Six statues surround a lone door, under each of their original positions is a tile.

On the wall is a circular diagram/table/chart with six square fillings.

Just a bit confused if those words are all describing the same thing and simply used because Rena and the others see it differently.

There are actually small sigils that are IN the tiles underneath their original positions. While the tiles aren't movable, the sigils are removable.

The diagram/table/chart doesn't just have the six square fillings... but over 100 elemental square fillings, each being a single element and being in a specific order. It resembles something that can be found on Earth, but the layout is vastly different.

I... think that it's time for sign ups to be closed since any more would burn out poor Gnar. I'm not a GM but I'd like to say my opinion anyways since it might get unmanageable really soon.

<Snipped quote by Grey Star>

I second this for the sake of Gnar. Even with a Co-GM this is still a still a large amount of people to manage and it just seems to continue growing.

I have the kindest players ever ;-;

As much as I would like to make everyone happy and keep the sign-ups open, I feel as if you guys are right, and that I may in fact burn myself out if I do accept anymore... and as such, as of this moment, sign-ups shall be closed. They may reopen in the future, but as of now they shall be closed.

I would like to point out that his Savant's Eye is similar to Free's Reactive Adaptation. The difference is that he mearly learns the skill (up to and not exceeding the level of the person he copied it from I'm assuming) and doesn't gain any physical traits or excel quickly. On the other hand, he learns them permanently, and Free cannot learn abstract skills like language or singing from observation (but she does learn them faster on her own).

Hmmm... In that case, I suppose that is fine then. If it works like that, then he's acceptable.
Sorry for my late response to things, there's been a storm brewing outside and it has made my connection extremely wonky all day.

@Gnar The Missing Link

Are the tiles marked with the same symbols that are also on fillings with the chart? The way I got it figured is all Rena has to do is cross reference the chart with the tiles to know where they're supposed to be.

Nope. The Sigils have nothing to do with the chart, other than being of the same element as the statue.

The way to solve the puzzle is this: Only one sigil is the correct one and must be placed upon the door before opening it, and the statues have to standing in a specific order.

I'll also give another big hint here: Someone with a scientific mind could easily cross reference what the chart is to something from Earth.

The reason I'm not outright telling you the answer, is because I planned for there to be some sort of... oh, I don't know, experience or even item reward or something from this. However, if I do tell you how to solve it, the reward will be null.

@Melkor

Aaron seems okay, however I would like his Savant's Eye to be limited starting off, since our characters aren't all that overwhelming starting off here. If you could find some way to make it so that he doesn't automatically learn any physical ability at first, that would be great.

Alright, so, after much thinking, I have decided that I would like to appoint @Ashifili as my Co-GM, both from recommendations from others and activity. If you're willing to accept this position, I'll be more than happy to have you on the job!
@Gnar The Missing Link How heavy are the statues? I think it would be a good way for Glaive to discover his power if he was moving them a lot easier than everyone else?

The statues are heavy to lift, but pushing them wouldn't be a problem technically for a fit person. So, if you wanted to, you could have him lift them up.

@Gnar the Missing Link If you're burning out on keeping an eye on so many groups, I suggest in the near future have two small groups meet to become one group of six that way you can keep a better eye on everyone and respond less.

This may be a possibility in the future, considering some events I have in mind.

@Gnar The Missing Link
Got a description of that place for us, Gnar? Or are we waiting for your next post?

The city?

It's fairly magical in nature and is surprisingly decently advanced for something being of a medieval architecture. Oh, and just for reference the sun is currently setting.

The best way I can describe it is as if it were the Citadel from Mass Effect, but Magical in Nature instead of being all technological... Oh, and zero humans. Everything is fine crafted and well-built, with various magical sentinels keeping watch in case of trouble, and there are races of all kinds everywhere, along with multiple flying winged creatures all about. Basically... just think of it as if it were the picture but more active, and you will be fine.

Although, if that's not enough, I'll try and have a GM post later today.

@Whitepulse

Aarne is accepted!

Also, before I make my other GM Post, I'll probably make someone Co-GM to help run the groups and keep you guys in check while I'm not here.
@Shikaru

Yup, the newly two added groups have had some more time compared to the others. So Erich has had time to make his inventions.
Unexpected developments are fun.

Also, I think I used the dice correctly? Not too sure.
Within The Valleys on Lovos

As you all gather your precious firewood, you take notice that the clouds above are moving rather quickly compared to those from Earth... and that the wind currents are starting to pick up once again, brushing harder against you than before. Before you know it, you feel the wind press hard against you, before stopping short once again... although, this time, something falls from Mabel's pockets and lands in a small hole on the ground, touching one of the roots of the various trees.

Upon closer inspection, you notice that what fell was a set of dice... and that the face up numbers suddenly began to glow as they touched the roots of the tree.

The surge of magic travels through the 'tree' and into the 'land'... going farther and farther away as it heads back to the source from where the 'root' of where all the 'trees' come from. All this time, what you believe to have been trees and branches were not in actuality trees or branches... but in fact the sun-dried extruding remains of the Dragon Titan's Nervous System, all leading back to his brain.

For years, this supposed Brain Dead Titan whose brain could no longer properly support or send out signals to its massive and gigantic body, and whose final command was to continue soaring in the skies, was receiving magic straight into its cranium. Then, the magic of the dice and Mabel, gifted to her by The Maker took its roots and sparked... enlarging the brain of the Dragon Titan to a size that would allow it to think with free will once more, along with allowing it to have full control over its massive body once again.

The 'ground' shook and the 'mountains' moved as the Titan awoke with a bellowing roar that broke apart the skies and as it found itself moving once again, thinking, breathing, and being able to feel its body against the wind as it did when it was but a young hatchling. With a glorious howl filled with unremarkable happiness, the Titan of the Skies flapped its massive wings, shaking the very foundation of the civilization of those upon its back as it enjoyed the freedom it was gifted with once again- to fly freely in the skies.

It would seem that you three have awoken an ancient beast...

Within the Forests on Gorlock

The strange creature simply stared with amused delight as it was waved at, and decided to leap towards the trio in hopes of learning more. It jumped from the center of the lake to their position with a graceful hop, something that looked impossible for anyone or anything... yet it did so without any effort. Landing, it immediately took a notice to Tamaki, before looking at the girl still bound to the chair.

It hadn't seen a human for so long, especially one such an oddity as this. Smiling with its strange face, it tilted its head before lowering itself a bit to sniff the scent of the young girl to confirm if its eyes were telling it the truth- Yes, they were. All three of them smelled like human, and felt similar to aura that The Maker gave off when observed and watched over the land.

Letting out a small call that echoed softly, small critters soon accompanied and made their way towards their position: Squirrels with oddly colored fur, long-armed and clawed monkeys, saber-tooths with gems on their forehead, and even deer that had previously avoided them gathered around to observe and watch them. One of the little multicolored squirrels even hopped onto Fiona's lap and handed her a small acorn of sorts.

The strange creature, however, turned towards Tamaki and Chloe before brushing up against them, looking at them with beady eyes... curious as to why there were humans on Gorlock's back after all this time.

Within the Mountains on Kormog

"Oi! Lads, that be the signal for Kormog's afternoon water! Release locks and flood the centipede nests 'fore the Scions get 'ere! We need him in tip top shape and ready to spew some fresh magma at some bastards, and we can't have those buggers itching at him!" shouted a rather crude and burly voice from afar the large gate.

After the voice finished, railings of sort descended from above; it was clear that they were meant to be held onto with great strength or to be hooked onto with something. Nonetheless, they provided some sort of support for... whatever was to come.

Then, the gates promptly opened in a rustic fashion, sliding to the sides as the sounds of something rushing forward could be heard coming. Upon closer inspection, you all would realize that it was the sound of rushing water coming at an incredible speed.

Given that outrunning it seems like a terrible idea, the only choice left would be to hold onto the railings and enjoy the fresh wave of water that is about to splash over you all.

Kael’valtar, The City of Soaring Hopes

As you all continue to chatter, bang on the windows and the door, you fail to notice the small child wearing a mask and using a walking cane standing by the altar... simply sitting and watching you.

No, it is clear that this person was not here before, nor did they make a single sound... so how did they get here?

The child simply tilts his head and hops off the altar, before looking at you three through the glassy holes in his mask... until he turns to look up at the statue. Without a word, he points his cane at you three and then at the statue, before walking towards you all.

As he walks towards you, you feel a strange sense of warmth, yet eagerness at the same time. It's almost as if this person is desperately trying to tell you something and reach out to you all. Even if you were to show him hostility, it would appear he would just not seem to care and shrug it off. Standing beside you three, he extends his cane and simply taps the door and unlocks it before he opens it.

Glancing at you three once again, you can hear a subtle warning... along with a call for help before the young boy evaporates into mist.

"Careful where you tread in this city of hopes... Come and save me."

Halls of the Fallen Saints

Within the Chamber as you all continue to look around, explore, and examine both the statue and the doors... Valair would find upon examining the walls a circular diagram of sorts with various different colored fillings. Were he to clear the frost from it, he would notice that the diagram was rather large, the size of a person horizontal and vertical, with each square filling being the size of a normal hand. It was ancient, yet at the same time oddly familiar... a table of something, perhaps? However, why were all of the square fillings different and why were they going in a circular rotation?

However... were Rena to simply take a look at it, she would immediately see that each of these square fillings were made up of different elements. Gold, Silver, and even Titanium... she could see that each of the fillings were a separate element of sorts, and were labeled as such on this chart, although, they were written, labeled, and numbered in a strange tongue completely different from any language that she has ever seen before. But it was clear to her that this chart... but what kind of chart to be precise?

It was as if her eyes were gifted with seeing the makeup of things; and taking a look at the statues, she could now see that each of the statues were made out of single elements as well. The only female statue that looked like an angel was composed of silver; the statue of a young man wielding a gun was composed solely of iron; the statue of the young boy wearing a hat was composed of only zinc; the statue of a two-legged beast was made out of boron; the statue of the young child wearing a mask was made out of cobalt; while lastly the statue of the young man with small horns was made out of titanium.

As Adam so happened to move one of the statues, particularly the female one made out of silver, Rena would notice that where it was previously was a small sigil marking on the floor made out of cobalt... however, it looked as if it could be taken out and moved someplace else.

There was indeed a clear puzzle to be solved here.

The Ruined City of Mankind, Halton

Jynmi, Free, Dominic Harris

This new place that you three were brought to was strange, yet oddly familiar... it like like some abandoned and run down city or civilization. Although, there was no signs of people, animals, or any kind of life aside for yourselves. Looking around, you could see from the top of the building that the streets were flooded with water and that plant-life has begun to overtake the city.

Despite how futuristic the tech in this city is, everything seems to be rather run down and left to its own devices. In fact, it is kind of sad actually, seeing things the way it is... giving off a dreaded feel that you are all alone in the world with no where else to go. But, perhaps that is true? The scene itself looks rather apocalyptic so to speak, as if things would jump out and attack at any time.

However, and perhaps thankfully, you do have the accompaniment of each other along with the luxury to explore and scavenge this place however you see fit. From the looks of things, everything besides the ground floor seems to be fine. It does look like it might rain though... but, whether you wish to explore and look around, is entirely up to you all.

Who knows... you may just find some 'interesting' clues and devices while exploring this brand new city...

The Nest of the Highborne

Erich Cline, Tsutsuji Tsubaki, Kevin Hawk

Moss, sap, and webbing of sorts litter the area that you have been brought into... how delightful!

Clearly this place isn't anywhere on the map- or on Earth for that matter, and it just so happens that you all seem to be inside of a giant... nest, of some sort? At least, that is what you can make out from all the broken eggs and eggsacks everywhere. Nonetheless, the temperature inside is rather nice and comfortable, despite how gooey and slimy everything is, with the soles of your shoes sticking to the ground with every single step you all take.

Thankfully, you haven't encountered any living creatures yet, since handling them in this situation may be more than you could all handle. Still, the area is littered with the bodies of strange humanoid insect-winged creatures that are fairly tall, each with uniquely colored tails. They look almost elven with their sharp faces, yet their eyes look human. None of them are moving however, but as you following the sappy corridors, and turn your head to look back, you can swear that you see them all standing and staring at you. Though, when you look back, they are all dead and motionless on the ground once again.

This area feels both sacred... and creepy to say the least, making you feel like you are surely hallucinating.
GM Post is done, will give everyone... about an hour or so to finish up their posts before I post.

Also, the Armor mk1 is most preferable as an invention!

Oh, um, alright awesome!

Um, any place in particular you're putting us or um.

How much do you like slime~? :3

As for Co-GMs, hrmmm... Gimme some time to think on who to pick, since I've just announced that I'm looking to fill the spots. I'll be sure to have chosen by tomorrow.
