Bio

I'm not really a bird.

-0-

Where did I play,
A land of twisted branches,
A kingdom of clay,
A swamp of memories,
A never-ending day,

Where did I run,
Across the dawn,
Through the sun,
Across the sky,
Through laughs and fun,

Where did I walk,
Pristine grass green,
White cliffs of chalk,
Pools of sky so blue,
Orchard stones that talk,

Where did I sit,
By the gates of silver,
Near endless pit,
By forever horizon,
You may remember it.

I believe so far we have 4 for C and 2 for B, with C having a lot of secondary votes. I think C wins!

So do you guys want an OOC right away or a secondary interest check to attract more players? MAYBE BOTH?

@GreivousKhan@Aristo@Willy Vereb@CaptainBritton@Asura@Drunken Conquistador@solamelike

So are you all up for a lovecraftian horror?
Just recently had the idea for an NRP set in the 60s inspired by the Godzilla movies.
Basically think of a retro sci-fi world with giant monsters and ancient aliens roaming around, right in the midst of Cold War.
Mentioning this because it slightly resembles C. The world is divided yet new threats make it neccessary to work together for survival.

C.) This is obvious why the first for me.

B.) I like the concept but wonder how you manage to turn this into an NRP.

A.) Council games are not my cup of tea. If it's fantasy I prefer Malazan over Game of Thrones, if you get what I mean.

This interest check is also advertised in the Advanced section, hence the option for B... though I suppose coop world building COULD be a thing. Thanks for your votes though! Also you should totally try that idea out sometime, if I wasnt in on this I might join. BUt for now I''m focusing on my current RP's and these fellas.
@Goldeagle1221 I got swamped with work so you would have to expect my NS a day late.
So flying mounts, longevity, magic affinity, typical elvish traits, wood ancestors, elderly turning into trees, weakness to col iron.
Would this package be acceptable? Been a while, I wonder if it's fine with you still.

I technically not the GM, but hey I'm pretty darn close ;) . The only issues I might have with any of this would be if the longevity was ridiculously long (so give me a ballpark).
I believe C is going to win no matter what. I'll give it the rest of the day, and if nothing changes, I'll make a new interest check and tag you all, with an ooc shortly after.
Whichever option wins, I might make a new interest check for to bring in more specific players. Thank you so much so far guys! Keep the votes up.

Inbred swine... more creature than man. Diseased old mystics. Worthless, diseased, rotten... corrupt.

Not to mention their possible lack of dental hygiene, disgusting.
Hello!

Aristo and I welcome you to this IntCheck, in which we’ve presented several roleplay concepts for you to browse through. Work has gone into the settings of each, but they all sound like a lot of fun to GM, and we hope you think so too. In fact, we haven’t been able to agree on which to run!
So in the spirit of democracy, and the unwillingness to give up on a single idea, we’re giving you the choice of which roleplay we ought to run. Whichever one gathers the most interest will be the one we will focus on and launch an OOC for. Each of these concepts has been undergone preliminary world-building and given established backgrounds, to be expanded upon in the event that one is chosen. A brief taste of our concepts is provided below, with a more detailed sample towards the bottom, as befitting a typical interest check.

Here are your choices in simple form:
A: A fantasy realm political simulation (very intricate and detailed). Players will control individual senators, nobles and other significant figures as they participate in the political process of one newly crafted nation. There will be a detailed Constitution, Bill of Rights, and other documentation, written for and by for these characters with player collaboration, to abide by (or neglect) as they see fit and even amend. The role of the GM will be to create national and international events for these senators to react to, with allowance for players to pursue their own methods and ambitions. Anything can happen, from a Julius Caesar-esque takeover of the military, to a change in government structure, to a religious reformation.

B: A swords & sorcery-style fantasy adventure. Imagine Howard’s tales of Conan the Barbarian in the Hyborian Age, or Moorcock’s Eternal Champion multiverse: Elric, Corum and Hawkmoon. This is a story of heroic individuals, in a world of burly muscle and loincloths, where magic and blade abound. The scope of this concept is centered on a few key heroes, rather than the politics of nations, but features a highly-detailed world to explore and interact with. The plot of the story will be expanded on below, but as an overview, our characters will traverse lands unknown and face ancient dangers with the aim of defeating a pervasive evil, caught in a cycle of rebirth and reconquest.

C: If you like Lovecraft then no doubt you know “The Colour Out of Space”, But what if the colour meteor struck the center of a fictitious continent during a 1789-analogous era? The corruption of this extraplanar entity slowly spreads from nation to nation, urging players to react before it’s too late. Lovecraftian horror and aliens meet the 18th century as the squabbling of nations is interrupted by a cosmic alien horror, forcing kingdoms into a choice between sink or swim: petty rivalries must be set aside, or the continent will surely descend into madness! Playstyle will follow conventional nation RP logistics, with players creating and roleplaying nations caught in this turbulent time.

Who, these guys?

Short version: they are vampire/flesh mages who worship a lovecraftian monstrosity known as the Conqueror Worm and they were allied with Daigon back in the day, using their unique magical expertise to help create slave races like orcs and beastkin.

:O
<Snipped quote by Goldeagle1221>Honestly it's better if I don't promise anything given what happened last time but I do intend to make my profile by tomorrow. I have 20 pages in one of my browsers saved just for this so the sooner I do the earlier I get some extra memory space to work with.

Sounds good! I think we are on a low right now, so the sooner the better.
