@Master Bruce

Shout-out to Spider-Man in my post.

Figured Miguel busted Parker's head at least once.

"And that's it. All the important information, anyway. The rest you'll pick up or have to rely on John and the others. Nothing is to chance anymore. Good luck."

Parker Robbins concluded to himself, his hoodless reflection staring back at him in a handheld mirror. He tossed the mirror onto his desk and reclined further into his chair, sighing exhaustively. The man brought his right hand to comb through his hair, swiveling on his chair to stare out the window to New York City.

He should have been out there, still running an iron grip on the underbelly of Hell’s Kitchen. Digging his hands in and gathering all the sleaze and opportunity that he could. Power was earned by beating the next guy and The Hood, as he became known as, was a true kingpin in this city. That life seemed like a lifetime ago despite it being only yesterday that he… No, that wasn’t right anymore.

Parker closed his eyes. What did Spider-Man say to him once? With great power comes great responsibility., he chuckled, shaking his head as he leaned up in his chair to slouch forward. He mocked Spider-Man for that line before getting his ass beat by the masked hero. What was funny then was that Parker would counter that great power comes with great opportunity. Now, he got it but for all the wrong reasons.

The criminal kingpin known as The Hood was replaced entirely by the stronger The Hood Supreme, taking the mantle of the Sorcerer Supreme. He could bend reality to his will with the magic that coursed through his fingertips and yet, he’d doom himself in the process. All that power came at a price, requiring a strict adherence to time. Greater power didn’t give him more opportunity, it only sentenced him to greater responsibility. In a way, Parker might have deserved this. A life sentence for the wrong he has done. He could understand, but this wasn’t just one life sentence.

It was an eternity.

His watch beeped, an alarm triggering. Parker didn’t acknowledge it just like he didn’t acknowledge the grandfather clock chiming in a westminster tune behind him. Out in the hall, another clock sounded, albeit muffled by the closed door.

One till midnight.

Time was up.

”Fuck you, Spider-Man.”

Parker muttered, recalling that damned phrase as he turned around to face his desk. He drew the amulet from around his neck and held it in hand. A green glow emanated from strange eye-shaped amulet. With one last breath, Parker slipped a finger in and tapped the stone. A green flash broke free and engulfed Parker, the man vanishing as the light faded.

Two minutes passed, and the green light returned, replacing Parker Robbins right back in his chair. His eyes snapped open, wild and confused. He had no idea how he had got there.

It was a new day for all but him.

“...The Hood sacrificed everything to stop an evil Sorcerer Supreme?

Doctor Steven Strange was never humbled out of his egoistical edge even after he broke his fingers in that car accident that ruined his career as a surgeon. In his quest to find a cure, he finds the Ancient One who refuses to cure his hands. Bitter, Strange then encounters Mordo and pledges to assist in killing the Ancient One in exchange for a cure. The tutelage of Mordo in the magical arts leads to Strange excelling leading to the pair killing the Ancient One.

With their common enemy out of the way, Strange, in a move to try and gain more power, betrays Mordo to obtain the Ancient One’s power in order to become the Sorcerer Supreme. With his power he becomes a tyrant in the mystical arts, finding ways to steal power from other practitioners and coveting every magical artifact. There would be no hope if Strange continued but an unlikely player would give up everything to stop Strange. Enter The Hood.

Up to this point, Parker Robbins has had the same life leading him to become The Hood. His father died, his mother comatose, he reverted to crime to make his wealth and with one of his heists leading him into obtaining his signature occult artifacts. In a bid to stop him, The Hood makes a dark pact with Dormammu to give him the power to defeat Strange at the cost of his soul to become a vessel of Dormammu’s possession. The Hood defeats the Sorcerer Supreme as planned but exploits a clause in his pact to avoid giving his soul to Dormammu: “By next Midnight, you’re soul will be mine.”

In the previous possession of Steven Strange, the Time Stone has become the very artifact that Parker relies on to avoid his possession. Just before the clock strikes midnight, he reverses time on himself to one minute after midnight on the same day. Time goes on around him but he must constantly revert his day back to the beginning, sparing him possession but sacrificing himself all the same with his memory being reverted.

Time has lost all meaning to Parker Robbins and at some point and the days blend together. In one of those days, John Constantine, his best friend and original guide into the occult, must have visited him in Sanctum and their discussion must have been productive because the Midnight Sons was formed. Utilizing the Sanctum, the Midnight Sons operate to help protect the new Sorcerer Supreme and the mystical items kept in the Sanctum Sanctorum.

So I stumbled upon this RP and thought of some twist on a character that I could play. The Hood was originally appealing and specifically to take him from starting as a villain to redeeming himself to become a hero. Since it plays more into the mysticism aspect, I decided that Sorcerer Supreme would be a good angle for him, but then I thought what if it came at a cost?

The cinematic universe presented an idea with the time stone, specifically the idea of being stuck in a time loop. Looping a single day over and over again would be very interesting play, but he’d be limited in engagement since his memory doesn’t carry over. so I thought he’d have a small crew to help him operate. I picked a few good mystical characters from DC and Marvel to form the backbone of the mystical side for this RP.

Steven Strange may be dead in 668, but there is plenty of potential for another Steven coming from somewhere. Any other mystical characters I’d like to get involved with should others propose them. Ultimately, I should be able to jump into plots that others do fairly easily as well.

Nocturne ceased her movement as a key went into her prison’s lock and began to tumble. The door swung open and revealed her savior, as it were. Or perhaps it was her jailer? She had no way of knowing outside this initial reaction. It normally wouldn’t be something concerning as Nocturne did have a few, creative ways to escape, but there was something going on in this place. Some debilitating effect that felt like she was limited.

The hollow had her vacant, cloudy watch the winged figure carefully but curiously. It was clear that wherever she was, she wasn’t back in reality that she was familiar with. A creature like this couldn’t exist given the impracticalities of it all, namely those floating hands. Then again, magic did create many forms of monstrosities and this could have been one. Nothing was impossible and this might have even been a stabler form of the Tower that she could interact with. Physics would likely be broken if she had actually made it here…

“...Once there, now here. Caged, no more.”

Nocturne muttered as she took a few booted steps out into the hallway of the cell. Her humming calmed, quieting in its earlier intensity, but there was still a disharmony in her quiet melody. She paused to add as her head turned to watch Queen Sectonia.

“You lead…” Nocturne pointed at the Queen before pointing at herself, “...I follow.”

Blink. Blink.

Cloudy gray eyes were cast about the room as Nocturne came into awareness of her new surroundings. She had followed a light, a beacon among the void that guided her here to this room. Her scans revealed the details that classified this room: Stone walls, small enclosure, metal bars sealing her inside…. She was in a prison cell.

Hmhmhuuum…

Nocturne began to hum a melody to an imagined song, but it was discordant, like she couldn’t quite keep the tune. She stepped lightly over to the bars of her cage, humming persisting, and turned her attention to the door. Lightly she pushed on it, the door predictably hardly budging before the lock caught and prevented it from opening further. She paused as her unflinching eyes consider the reaction as if the door stopping was some novel idea. She pushed again, the door, once again, rattled without budging far.

Closer. Nocturne bent forward to bring her face a few inches from where the door met the unmoving caged wall. She pushed, the door rattled but did not open. Again. Again. The hallway and cell were filled with a duet of a rattling door and strange humming. The maestro of this unmeasured noise making was blissfully unaware of the world around her as the mind searched itself. Memories, processes, equations… they came and went in that fractured mind, but somewhere there was an understanding on how something as simple as a locked door worked. More importantly, how to unlock that door without the key…

She would remember at some point, if she could find that mechanical knowledge. Her eyes soon started to study every part of the door as she kept pushing, tirelessly working and trying to think. It would only be a matter of time before something trivial as a locked prison door would be dissected by the instant genius of one so studied… if only Nocturne could recall.

Nocturne had nothing but time. However, should another hear her humming and door rattling and come to investigate, they’d find Nocturne, unbothered by just standing there and trying to open the door to a new world out there…

Oh alright, I can do that. I'll just drop the specific description of post timing then and leave it a little more up to the story.

And yes, she can be destroyed. She is still physical and can be destroyed.
