Amelia sat on the end of a beach chair; her feet buried in the sand. She wondered how she could smile and act so happy, but to herself she was weak. Amelia had not even told her best friends just how depressed she was. She was tired of hiding, tired of running. She did forgive Hunter, she loved Hunter. But she did not know how well this would work out. She wanted to try. She would gve it all she had. Amelia ran a hand through her messy curls. Amelia had gotten herself into some trouble before leaving for vacation, and as she stared at the message from a blocked number that said "We need to talk" Milli let out a deep sigh. Milli had borrowed money from some well-known drug lords to pay for her college because we was maxed out on loans from banks. When the first payment was due Milli was short 200 dollars.

She remembered that night. The torture she want through. They gave her an ultimatum- death or a favor. She had no option. She was raped. Amelia had hid the entire incident because if she told anyone else she was also putting them in danger. Amelia was scared to go back to college, they knew her schedule. And what made it one-thousand times worse was that the drug lord was attracted to her so much he wanted her to be his. Amelia held the power button until the cell phone screen went black. She was done thinking about that for tonight. She needed to enjoy her vacation before it was time for reality to set in once again; dead-end job, expensive cost of living, the loan sharks after her.. It was all too much to deal with.

Amelia
Amelia rolled her eyes when Hunter broke their kiss. Of course now he would come to his senses and use his brain after Amelia had already attacked him. She watched him limp off a little dramatically if she did say so herself then as he turned around and asked for her help Amelia smirked and stood up. She dusted herself off and with a yank of her ponytail let her blonde curls fall.

"Hunter, you ever drive drunk again and you won't have to worry about Lila killing you," She said with a soft giggle before proceeding to help him down the stairs. When they reached the elevator she pressed the seventh floor and waited to hear the bell ring for their stop. Amelia couldn't hold grudges. She had learned not to hold a grudge because you never know when it's the last time you will see someone. Amelia walked next to Hunter but stopped once she reached their condo door. "I'll be at the beach, I'll see you later. Lila has a mean right hook." Amelia said with a soft smile to hopefully lighten the mood before turning to walk back toward the elevators.
@Silent Observer The things you do for love. Or maybe she's just using him? Maybe she will screw with him then leave him high and dey like he left her? Bum bum buuum! xD
Yeah, I kinda was having writers block too. Rofl. Just as Dirty Pretty Lies said, Or Milli could suddenly throw Hunter off the edge in pent up rage... Bum bum bum..@Remipa Awesome
Amelia listened to his words, but they didn't sink in until she saw the tears rolling down his cheeks. Her face instantly lit, and she looked over at him as he switched sides to hold her closer. He wanted to love her again, the sound made her heart flutter again. She smiled like an idiot she was sure, but she did not care. Amelia threw one leg over his lap, straddling his waist. She held his face in her hands softly and after such a long time pressed her lips to Hunter's once again.

She kissed him softly, entangling their lips with every ounce of passion she had felt after their separation. Amelia gently, slowly pushed Hunter onto his back. She didn't care, she didn't care who saw or where they were. Amelia kissed Hunter, she held his face close to hers and breathed in his scent. She loved him, she loved Hunter more than he would ever know.
Amelia knew who it was when the door opened to the roof. She knew Hunter, she knew him well. And she knew that whenever Hunter wasn't drunk he was a caring and kind hearted person. Of course, he would never tell anyone that, but Amelia knew. Just the sound of her name rolling off his lips made her think about lighting the last cigarette she had. Then came the same comment that Hunter always said when he caught her smoking. She had almost stopped while they were together, but after the break up she was back to smoking a pack a day.

Amelia half smiled and shook her head, "There is a lot worse things then smoking. And you know I'm not going to go ff on you Hunter. I'm not a fighter. Maybe that's why I let our relationship go. I'm not emotional. I'm not one to pour my heart out willingly to anyone. I bottle everything up. I hide it. So when this all came out I just hid. It was easier. I couldn't face you. J didn't know how to face you. I knew you already felt shitty enough without seeing how much it effected me. So I just ran. I know that wasn't you, Hunter. I know in your right state of mind you would never do that to me. I didn't know how to react. I didn't know how to work this out. I didn't know how to forgive you." Amelia paused to take a deep breath.

"I still love you, I will always love you. But for this to work I've got to be able to trust you again. I can't be with someone who drowns their problems in alcohol." Amelia turned to face him, reached her palm up to gently touch his cheek. "You're going to have to quit the binge drinking. You are going to be a father. You have to take the responsibility now. He or she will need you there. And not drunk, they'll need a hero. Someone to hold them and comfort them and teach them about life. You don't have to be perfect. You just have to try."
Rofl. Punch his bad arm- he will pay attention. ^^

P.S. Everyone- the chatroom link is now on the very first post I made in the OOC at the very top! Easy access!
Amelia had tried, but she understood why Dela could speak to her right now. She was glad Jareth was there. It didn't matter who she talked to, it just had to be someone. Amelia half-smiled softly when Dela opened the door and said she just wanted Jar and Lila. It was understandable. Amelia walked out of the condo just as Jar went to get Lila. On her way out she stopped a couple of feet from the trio in the hall- Hunter, Jareth, and Lila. "Thank you, Jar. For taking care of her. And for giving Lila her smile back." Amelia smiled softly before letting her eyes land on Hunter for the first time.

Her heart ached, she wanted to make sure he was okay, but she couldn't find the words. Amelia turned and walked to the elevators, she needed some fresh air. Her heart was cold and her head was pounding. She stepped into the elevator and went to the top floor. After a little searching she found the staircase she was looking for. With a bobby pin from her hair she managed to unlock the door. Amelia walked up the two flights of stairs and pushed the door open to the roof. As she walked onto the roof the view took her breath away. She walked closer to the edge before sitting down on the concrete. The flame from the lighter lit her face as she ignited another smoke. Amelia pulled her knees up into her chest. Tonight had been one of the hardest nights of her life. The only other one that compared to this? The night Hunter was with that girl. She remember every little detail. She had been so excited to surprise him. She spent hours- hours- getting dressed and prepared for his arrival. She was wearing that burgundy strapless dress, her dirty blonde hair was in loose curls, she had bathed in lilac.. She could still smell the lilac. She was in love with Hunter. Not just loved him, no, she was in love with him.

Amelia sighed and took another drag of the cigarette as she looked over the horizon. It was beautiful out tonight. She wished the others could see this. She wished more than anything Hunter was here with his arm around her trying to make shapes out of the stars. Like they did in the back of his El Camino. Amelia looked up and let out a breath of smoke, maybe it was time to let go. Amelia was graduating and moving into her final years of veterinary school at Colorado State. In Colorado she wouldn't know anyone, no one would know her. Amelia flicked the cigarette and watching it sail off the side of the building before looking into her carton and realizing she only had one left.
@Silent Observer Edited. Amelia is standing her ground, sorry Jar. ^^
Amelia's body shook, not sure if it was from the coldness of the night or her recent sobbing fit. Either way, she couldn't stay out here. The nagging feeling in her heart said she needed to find Adelisa. Amelia lot another cigarette and puffed away half of it before stomping the rest under her foot. She begn to dreadful walk to the elevator. She didn't want to face anyone. She didn't want anyone to see her red, puffy eyes and her messy hair. She smelt like smoke and alcohol, and was overall a total hot mess.

The elevator ride was silent, except the annoyingly catchy tune that played softly from the speakers. What could Amelia say to Dela? Why did Amelia have to care?... Why did this have to happen?.. How could he do this to me?. Amelia quickly wiped the tears away as she stepped onto the seventh floor. No sooner than she stepped off the elevator did she hear the commotion coming from their room. "No, please god, no," She begged as she ran through the hallway and after digging around in her pockets slid the key to get in the room just in time to see Hunter double over. Her heart stopped. What happened? Why was he hurt? She didn't have time for that! She was just in time to hear Jareth tell Lila and Hunter to go be with her. Amelia shook her head and walked slowly toward the door. "No, I was there for Dela then, I will be now too. Nothing and no one will stop that."

Amelia stepped around Hunter and Jareth and softly knocked on the door. She put her ear up to the door and softly spoke, "Dela, unlock the door, okay? I'm going to come in. Just me. Okay? Please, Dela. I know you're hurting. I know you're scared. Remember what we promised? Remember we promised each other that through thick and thin we would always be there. Deal, I can't keep my promise unless you open the door. I won't let anyone else in. Just please, listen to my voice Dela. Listen to me, please," Amelia wasn't going to lose her friend because of as stupid mistake. She wasn't ready to lose Adelisa. She had lost Hunter, and that tore her apart, but losing her best friend would kill her. She softly rapped on the door again. Please, please, let her answer.
