The moment the needle-ey sensation hit Dan he blinked outside. After a moment flailing he was back in his seat casually pretending it hadn't happened though his red face would likely confirm anyone's suspicion. He had to force himself to calm down before listening to the teacher again. He hadn't paid much attention to the others during the test aside from sparing glances, so he wasn't all that stunned that Karen had won. Certainly someone as scary as her had a good quirk for those assessments.

Dan's eyes narrowed when the teacher stated his reasoning for choosing her though. Those kind of tests were the same ones most students did every year without their quirks. He would have been surprised if any of them didn't know that lesson. Of course there was also the whole 20m dash thing that already didn't allow quirks, so Dan guessed that was just redundant anyway.

The school almost definitely had the scores from fitness tests the students had taken years prior, so why try to trick them into doing the exact same thing they had always done? In the end Dan just decided not to think about it, it wasn't graded so there was nothing to dwell on.
Alright, it happens. Take your tine.

"I guess I'm glad it worked out then." Dan said, rubbing the spot on his head that had impacted on the table. "I mean I still should've been paying more attention, it's just that well...I'm not really much for social interactions and even if it was an accident it was kind of rude to just kidnap you like that." He said, trying to play the whole situation off with a chuckle. He quickly remembered that they weren't alone.

"Oh, right." Dan said, his anxiety quickly coming back when he saw the fire headed girl's lack of amusement. "Err, well there were these people that kind of snuck up on me and started talking so I tried to get away and...well I guess I brought this girl with me. If you're going to burn someone, I promise she's innocent. It was my fault!" Dan bowed his head again, this time being sure to stop before he hit the table.

Dan recoiled in shock when someone tapped his shoulder. He attempted to answer, but another student butted in suddenly. He had picked this table because of the lack of noise. He scooted quickly to the side and without paying attention to the fact he was bumping into someone, teleported a few tables down. It took him a moment to realize that it was the same table he had started at, with the fireheaded girl. It was around this time Dan realized that his arm was slightly warm...

Looking to his side he saw the winged girl from before. "Oh, I'm so sorry I didn't know-I didn't mean-I mean I was just trying to get away from everyone!" Blushing furiously, Dan bowed his head in apology so hard that it thwapped the table. By this point he had forgotten all about Karen's presence. All he wanted to do was blink somewhere else right now, but given how embarrassed he was it wasn't exactly safe.

The moment Dan was changed into his regular clothes he dashed to the cafeteria. He hadn't used too much of his reserves in the physical examination, but he was hungry nonetheless. In moments he had a few generous helpings of food on his tray and he happily sat down in a random spot. It just so happened that he was across from the fire haired girl he had seen back in class. The way she was eating cereal with only her hand was pretty damn savage. Something about her screamed danger, so he noped out of there moments after setting his stuff down. Instead, he opted to blink to the same table as the winged girl and guy that had been unhinging his jaw to eat only moments ago.

Normally, the latter would have made him more uncomfortable than the hothead from before...Dan took a moment to be thankful he hadn't said that out loud. Something about her made him feel like he was going to have the crap kicked out of him at the slightest provocation. This seemed like a much safer place to be. Dan sighed in relief before happily digging into his food, greeting his tablemates with a simple wave.
Rachel

Mesalon Cave

@Dusksong@LuckyBlackCat@AbysmalDemon@Noxx

It seemed the entire cave was coming to life now. Something about that Cofagrigus's actions seemed to spark a bit of ire in the other ghosts. As though one of them making an attempt inspired the rest to drive the trainers from their territory.

In an instant, Rachel's keystone and her Tyranitar's Mega stone lit up the entire cave. Most of the ghost types fled immediately, and the ones that didn't made it clear that they weren't going to cause trouble. Tyranitar transitioned to his mega form and roared at any and all of the remaining ghosts. "Right then." Rachel started, slightly winded. "That's sorted, let's get back to the surface."

In moments the group was back at the entrance to the cave, Tyranitar transformed back to its normal form.

Rheese Laudat

Outside

@LuckyBlackCat@fer1323

"If it's got you uneasy, I think we should." Rheese responded. As things were, it'd be better for the group to avoid unnecessary danger. They had been through enough lately.

Rheese idly kept his hand near his belt. If anything attacked them, it would pay to have all hands on deck. He wasn't going to be useless in a situation like this, not anymore. At least, that's what he told himself.

Instead of ghosts, however. A group of trainers with a few familiar faces emerged from the cave. Minior broke free of its Pokeball and lunged straight at the brown haired lady that seemed to be at the lead. Before Rheese could react, the lady in question casually stopped the rock type with a single hand. A blow that would have seriously injured most people wasn't even cause for surprise for this lady.

"Hey there cutie!" Rachel shouted as she brought the minior into a tight hug.

Rheese's eyes widened as cracks appeared in Minior's shell. This lady couldn't be human.

"So, you finally found a trainer? Ooh, have you been having fun with them?" Rachel asked the little Pokemon as it squeaked in response. "Good, I'm so glad!"

"Err, have you two met?" Rheese asked, Minior's attention immediately shot back to its trainer...along with the rest of it as it let out a happy squeal. Rheese dodged instinctively, but Minior stopped just short of him and bounced excitedly as if to show Rachel what it was talking about. To which she nodded in approval.

Dan's first event was the dash, since he couldn't use his quirk he decided to start by setting the bar low. And, with his average score of about four seconds, he decided it was a good start.

20m Dash- 4.34 seconds

The high jump was much easier, all he had to do was blink upwards to hit a score of twenty six meters before blinking back down and sticking the landing. While it wasn't an incredible score, it was about the best he was willing to put into it.

High jump - 26m

For the shot put, Dan decided he had to try something that he had been working at for a while. The plan? To teleport the shot as far as he could after it left his hand. Unfortunately, he hadn't quite perfected that technique. It worked on the rare occasion and well...this wasn't one of those. The second he tried to blink the object, he found himself teleported instead while the put simply fell to the ground. After all was said and done his score was .002 meters

Shot Put - .002 meters

Thankfully, the last test was the long run. It wasn't even a challenge, and Dan cleared the dash in seconds.

100m Dash - 3 seconds.

After all was said and done Dan dusted himself off and found a spot that was a bit more out of the way to rest while everyone finished.

Dan smiled a bit at the thought of simple physical tests. He wasn't in terrible shape, so he could probably perform at least on an average level. Though, with any kind of race...well, that would be easy. In truth it'd be the only really thing he'd excel at.

With that thought in mind he entered the locker room and changed clothes. The teacher was right, it was certainly suited for Blink. The light fabric meant he could teleport with it effortlessly. Not that his regular clothes were a challenge or anything, but he hadn't ever gone through a physical examination with them, so this was certainly for the best.
@Noxx I'll probably have a post up tonight.

"I'm fine, my dignity's just a bit bruised..." Dan mumbled in response. He accepted Noru's hand, and stood back up. Once the teacher entered the room, he scrambled back into the seat he had fallen out of. It was bad enough he had made a spectacle in the middle of the classroom, now the teacher was there and...apparently the teacher was a giant bug. It wasn't totally unusual in this world of heroes, but sometimes these things caught Dan by surprise.

The thought of a physical test was far from unwelcome, Dan was in pretty decent shape. Even the chair debaucle had only left him lightly bruised and embarrassed. Besides, it was clear that he had gotten away with being late so...mission accomplished?
