Lucius glanced over his shoulders at the two people that entered the diner, their steps and movements in general carried a certain weight that betrayed their causal looks. The red-head seems disinterested in everyone else in the establishment...no, rather no one prompted her to react. The woman next to her, however, scanned the room with tension in her shoulders until she saw whatever she needed to see...or lack thereof...and continued along with the red-head. If Lucius hadn't already engaged in a conversation, he might have tried to make an impression. A portion of egg and a piece of jellied toast made its way to his mouth, its flavor was acceptable but nothing that he hadn't ever tasted before. Even so, he feigned contentment so as to not drawn any more attention to his true behavior.

Mentally he sighed as Emelie asked him about his meal. It was a rather cute trick to hide the spell casting with the tea cup, but while he might be old his hearing was quite perceptive. After all, its far easier to deal with witch or warlock when you can hear the spell they are casting. He had wished his hearing was as good as it was now when he was trudging through the thick woods of Germania. Credit where it was due, the Gauls understood how to set ambushes and use fear to their advantage "It really hits the spot y'know? I'm not sure how it compares to Ylva's though. How about yours, Millie? Those pancakes look pretty good." He continued to eat after a light chuckle. While he admitted her previous trick was a tad clever, staring him down trying to pull anything out was not. Disappointing. His attention, however, was grabbed by Ylva speaking about his state of health. It seemed the guard dog wished to bark.

The edges of his lips trembled as he kept eye contact with Ylva, the smile on his face appearing to weaken "Sorry, its just..." Somberness once again crept into this voice, hesitation settling in as if there was something he didn't want to talk about "Its just that I remembered something that happened to me recently..." He took a deep breath, trying to pick up the pieces of his smile but it lacked the brightness he had started with, as if having him to try and explain why caused him to recall that fictitious event even more. He tried to shake off whatever trauma that had been brought up "I'm alright, really! I can't wait to finish my food so we can see the town. I hope you'll tell us a story of where you come from, Ylva!" What should have been an emotional roller-coaster, would appear as nothing to Emelie's spell and he hoped she would read it as such. There was one truth, he was eager to finish his breakfast and see what more he could learn.

Sweat beat down Ryom's face as his eyes opened with his cell phone in hand, ready to dial the number for a taxi or an uber or whatever would get him to the hospital the fastest. Heavy breathing was soon silenced as he took a look at his surroundings while his mind tried its best to comprehend what it was seeing. He quickly wiped his eyes once more and rubbed them, as if trying to clean the sleep from his eyes. Nothing changed. It had to be some sick, practical joke right? The buildings were all some prop-up displays meant to create some kind of illusion. They had to be. However, it didn't explain the complete silence of what should be the busy downtown area of Seoul.

Ryom turned his head to the sound of another voice, one belonging that at least had a body. His question sent a shiver down Ryom's spine, but he didn't dare to answer. Instead, Ryom picked up a loose rock off the ground and tossed it as hard as he could down one of the streets. The small rock skipped along until it was finally stopped by a wooden barrel in its path. He could felt his heart begin to beat faster as he silently walked up to the closest building and placed his hand against it, the texture was all too real. Without warning, Ryom gritted his teeth and pulled back before launching a punch into the building's wall. The skin on his knuckless slit open as he reeled back his fist "FUCK!" Ryom yelled, the pain assuring him that this was not just some fever dream either.

He didn't have time for whatever game this was. His mother needed him and he couldn't waste any more time. He kept muttering curse words as he held his right hand in his other, pacing around as he tried to think about what to do next "Oh, didn't you know? We're in goddamn Disney World!" He snapped at Michael before groaning in pain once more as his hand began to throb. Think Ryom, think! He looked back at Michael and saw there were two others. "Name and last place you remember being. Now!" He spoke harshly at the other three. He desperately wanted them to assure him he was still at the convention center and he had taken some wrong turn. The adrenaline was kicking as he waited for their reply. Ryom let his other hand go to look at his phone. No service. His grip around the phone tightened, uncaring if he snapped it right there. Hold on mom, I'm coming. Please....hold on.

The absurdity of the situation of the situation did well to divert his mind and attention away from last night. He would rather pretend it didn't happen at all. Nothing else happened except a wonderful date that went exactly as planned with the lovely Sorrel. And Finn? Well it wouldn't be the wildest night he had ever had before. Keep talking. Do not let the mind rest "Grazie! Volfango aims to please!" He said out loud with a grin at Finn's remark. Volfango was rather proud of his modest culinary skills as he often had to make his younger siblings dinner because their parents were often busy. The other guest was very easy on the eyes, however he was a guest of Sorrel's and it would be rather impolite to flirt under her roof.

His eyes watched Sorrel as she moved further into the apartment, working the cooking station with dexterous precision. As her cheeks turned red, Volfango couldn't help but smile knowing that the other two heads were spinning. He perked up as he heard the hastily spoken word "Do not stress, beautiful Sorrel! It is natural to wish to see Volfango in all his glory!" He boasted from the kitchen as he began finishing up "Volfango, however, will wear such a considerate gift with pride." He took brief glances at the two as he cooked, not wanting to serve anything less than his best!

He nodded firmly, twirling a butter knife in his hand "Then Volfango shall make them fit for a queen!" It was impossible for Volfango to imagine himself as that huge creature last night, full of rage and power. The power. It was almost intoxicating and he could feel its remnants in his fingertips as he made the last parts of the breakfast. Everything Volfango knew about the world was slowly collapsing around him, was it his fate to be some uncontrollable beast? How did he know for sure that he wouldn't turn on friends and family? The encroaching thought that slipped through his web of distractions caused him to nearly miss Sorrel's question "Voflango would love to down a glass of milk." He answered back as he finished at last with his magnificent breakfast.

"It is Voflango's delight to present the gorgerous Sorrel and the handsome Finn with a breakfast guaranteed to blow the mind. Volfango made sure to give Finn extra sausage and ham." He gestured to the finished dishes with flair, no hint of doubt in his voice.

Once again, Ylva referred to the event with a kind of indifference to the whole thing and without a sign of fear in her eyes. Emelie on the other hand hadn't heard anything, yet showed more concern over the possibility of a simple robbery. He could chalk up to a difference in their personalities, but he definitely believed that Ylva was a supernatural of some kind with enough power, or pride, to not be affected "That's kind of what I've heard as well. It's a shock for sure." He replied with a momentary shiver, lightly shaking his head at such tragedy. Lucius of all people should know that not everyone is who they seem so he naturally has to be wary of anyone he comes into contact with for a extended period of time. He had no safe haven. No one in the world to turn to. It might sound sad but it stopped bothering him after the first few centuries, the rotting feelings replaced by an ever increasing determination in his mission.

His teeth clamped down as Ylva mentioned his preference for dark coffee, a signal that his lapse hadn't gone unnoticed. He let out a kind of embarrassed laugh "Yeah, I almost kinda need it. My dad used to drink it a lot. He refused to acknowledge any other kind of coffee." Bright, blue eyes met with Ylva's as he lightheartedly spoke. It was likely to win her over, but he always had back-up plans in case anything ever went wrong when he was out "Ylva?" Lucius purposefully butchered the pronunciation a bit, before continuing "Now that's a cool name. Nice to meet you too!" That name at least confirmed the foreigner identity.

"I have lived in Ember Grove all my life so if there's anything either of you need, I'd be happy to help."

Now that was quite interesting to hear. This entire conversation Lucius had been monitoring and listening carefully to what Emelie was saying to figure out who he was talking with. How does someone who lived their entire life in the town not know of a major tragedy like what happened last night? News typically travels fast in towns like this so the idea that she didn't hear about it from anyone presented the old warlock with more questions. Emelie, or Millie, had the kind of personality that should earn her at least a few friends in this town if what she was saying was true about living here her entire life. It was possible that she was simply a sheltered girl or perhaps she had lied about living here. Her offer, then, gave him the chance to investigate further.

"That's very kind of.." He had started saying with a smile before he looked off to the side, pausing for a second in thought before speaking again albeit without a smile and a kind of humble look on his face "I would...actually appreciate it if you could. If you're free after this, perhaps you could show me a few places?" His presented energy dipped with the first sentence, a not-so-hidden look of pain in his eyes covered by his friendly demeanor. A smile returned to his lips as did his energy when he ask the question to Millie as his adopted personality continued to evolve to meet the challenges and reactions of those he was engaging with.

Lucius turned his head as nose caught wind of savory aroma of bacon, and the light, buttery scent of pancakes "Looks like our food is coming just as Ylva is finishing hers." He mentioned as the waitress returned with their orders, placing them on the table with a smile. It would be far simpler to cast a spell to determine what manner of supernaturals the two women were, if any, but that required time, space, and resources he didn't have. Any witch worth their salt would be astounded by what he carried on his person normally, so for just today he left most of it behind. At least what they would consider "dangerous" and "taboo". Lucius took his silverware out from the folded napkin and began cutting his eggs "I hope this is as good as that sandwich!".

Lucius needed a lead from this whole farce and while Ylva was almost certainly a supernatural, it was far too much of risk to pursue right now. Her strong indifference to the incident and personality made him believe she would be a greater hassle to manipulate than Emelie, though even then he needed to be careful. Lucius had used a similar avatar during the first 'World War' to sabotage some of the supply lines of the Central Powers. It was amusing to see the faces of weathered soldiers as a seemingly young girl dispatched their friends one by one. One must be ready for change and the unexpected in any form in which it might appear.

I don't need the discord to keep my interest, I just like a way to talk and chat with everyone about.
@Vocab

I'm in a discord for Ember Grove and it's nice to have a place to chat with members of the RP and discuss the RP itself
I can't wait for Ryom to teach Miki all kinds of creative cuss words.

Lucius took a seat at the same table as Emelie and Ylva, listening carefully to their words and watching their expressions to gauge their personalities. It would likely take the extent of their conversation to fully narrow it down. He sat relaxed against the back of the chair, taking the paper menu in front of him into his hands "Momma used to say food always tastes better with company." Before Lucius headed off to war, his mother would always sit the family down for dinner at the same time every night. It had been a constant comfort, which just leaves one vulnerable when its no longer there. If Ylva had only been in Ember Grove for little over a wekk, it likely meant she was not involved with any of the major forces at play. She mentioned the incident last night rather casually, which gave him a reason to suspect she was a supernatural. It would be impossible to know which kind without further investigation "Well, might as well enjoy it. Now that I'm out on my own, I certainly am!" He smiled brightly before returning his gaze to the menu.

Out of everything on the menu, Lucius felt the most hungry for some scrambled eggs, sausage, and toast with some coffee to wash it down. While he figured Ylva to be a supernatural, there was something about the soft-spoken Emelie that he couldn't quite figure out. She reminded him greatly of his youngest sister but these tired, over-worked hands have seen to the end of many such individuals before. It wasn't long before a waitress came over to take Emeilie and Lucius's orders "I'll have scrambled eggs, sausage, toast, and coffee. Black..please." His fabricated demeanor snapped for just a moment, uttering his choice of coffee just a bit harsher than he had been speaking. It wasn't like him to make even small mistakes like that, he thought he was pass such minor things.

Once the waitress left with their orders, Lucius would turn to Emelie "Wow, I just realized I said my name yet. It's Luke, pleased to meet both of ya!" He swore the next personality he was going to mimic would be one of a goth, or some similar group just to avoid this constant energy and pleasantness. Perhaps he missed being, well, himself. When he had mastered illusions and transformations, it was quite exciting to live so many different lives. Now it was simply another part of his mission to push the world towards their next evolution. Years of practicing the dark arts and he had learned to negate some of the worse effects, but there were parts of himself he just couldn't recall. The feelings, the emotion to some of his memories were just vacant. Empty.
I'll just keep Ryom as is then. It's going to be hard enough for him already.
