Bio

Greetings,

I am Jb; Briton by birth, roleplayer by my own hand, and lover of literature. I am also an amateur historian, a receiver of a Bachelors degree in Ancient and Medieval History - quite a useless degree, actually - and would like to think that I'm a fair, honest and open guy.

As far as RP'ing goes, I'm pretty open to most things really, all you need to do is ask! :)

So, if you've ever any questions for me, wish to speak about RP's involving myself or run by myself, or simply feel like a chat, don't be afraid to get in touch.

After consultation with myself, we'll be going with Legends lore!

Looking for a few more folks if possible though.
@The Whacko Not a fan of the canon? :D

@Deadnaut Nice to see you again Dead, seems like forever!
Hmm. Might there be an opening for a Mandalorian drill sergeant?

While there is room for that, post-Kamino there'd no longer be a viable role for you nor much point (since the squad itself are the focus), so I'd have to eeer on the side of saying no currently.

Thought I'd pop this up to see if anyone would be interested in, as you may well expect from the title (or not), a Clone-based roleplay?

Not going to lie, it would follow much the same path as Domino Squad, at least in the beginning, eventually leaving Kamino as 'shinies' for the wider galaxy; at this point I'd intend to post them to a non-canon legion under a non-canon Jedi, the details of which can be discussed if/when this goes ahead.

If you're a fan of the Clone Wars series and the journey of Domino Squad, of Band of Brothers, Sharpe or really any other squad-focused film or TV series, then this may well be the RP for you! This is going to be 18+ and certainly not Disney-friendly, something more gritty (I'm aware it's Star Wars and not WWII), so if that's something you enjoy I can only repeat my earlier statement.

Where we begin is pretty set - they're clones after all - but where this could end is really quite open, as far as things go.

So, there's the initial pitch; if you're not interested at this point then this is likely not your cup of tea, but if you are then please feel free to say so, or join the Discord server here: discord.gg/4Umx5Ne.

I'll also be happy to answer any questions, as always.

P.S

We'll be using Legends over Canon because 'eff Disney and up the Mandos!

Greetings, one and all, and welcome to this thread for a pretty self-explanatory RP; if you've read the title then you already know where I'm going with this.

I'm looking for a small band (a 'brotherhood', if you will) of around 3-5 other writers/players to join me in a tale of heroics and furious battles against the forces of Chaos and plausibly others. The Great Rift has shredded reality and torn the Milky Way in two, servants of the Ruinous Powers pour into realspace in all forms, the venerable Ordo Malleus - and by extension 'their' militant arm - coming to a true test, possibly the largest since their inception by the Sigillite himself.

Although we will be taking on the roles of what are essentially hyper-psychic mythological heroes of the Imperium it will be through the writing and a continuous plot-line that I hope to show why the Grey Knights are truly some of the most badass warriors - yet some of the most invisible - in the entire 40k galaxy.

If you're not going to disappear on me, are comfortable in an Advanced writing enviroment, and like the sound of any of the above, then please feel free to say so in this thread or better yet join the Discord server here: discord.gg/exh3sZeR

As always, the Emperor Protects.

EDIT:

Andreyich asked a reasonable question, and that is at what stage of the GK life-cycle we shall begin, and I can say between completing their initial trials and their first action together as Battle-Brothers.

I'm going to make the Character Sheet short and simple, much like the Knights themselves...

Name: Self-explanatory, the last paragraph or so of this may be of some help.

Rank: At this current moment we're all Battle-Brothers.

Specialisation (If any): Maybe lugging a heavy weapon, or maybe an Apothecary or Tech-Marine etc.

Psychic Aptitude: All Grey Knights are psykers, but all are equal in this regard, most mastering the basics but no necessarily more advanced techniques.

Appearance: What do they look like out of their armour?

That's all for the sheet, personalities and the like can be shown in-character; please post your sheets in the OOC thread.

Aboard the Strike Cruiser Lamiae Mortis the newly minted Astartes of Justicar Kallikles prepare themselves for their first taste of combat outside the bounds of both their fortress-monastery on Titan and far away from the Sol Sector itself.

The galaxy beyond the borders of the innermost Imperium have come apart at the seams, the daemonic threat that the Grey Knights could once contain alone now engulfing an entire half of former Imperial space, planets and even sub-sectors engulfed in the very immaterial threat that the chapter sought to hide from the wider population of their beloved realm... but no more, now they must truly gather their strength and be everywhere at once, their numbers stretched to breaking point and - for the moment at least - their secretive order unable to take on the 'Primaris' given (or forced upon) the remainder of the Emperor's angels of death.

Squad Kallikles and their sleek craft, a strange sight for the otherwise clunky Imperium of Man, have been directed by the Prognosticators to the out-of-the-way planet of Anairu; although not able to foresee precisely what awaits their handful of brethren, all that can be spared if truth be told, they know that it involves the notorious and seemingly indestructible Cult of Anash'Ra - a Chaotic cult dedicated to the worship of the Slaaneshi entity of the same name.

This is a true test for the initiates and, should their faith or firepower fail them, could spell the doom of many worlds.
My knowledge of 40K is somewhat lacking, however your RPs tend to be fun, and I am willing to learn as I go. Count me intrigued by this concept.

YOU FOOL! Aaaahhahahaaaa...

Glad to have you aboard, don't be afraid to ask any question/s if/when you think of them.
Sure, I'll give it a go. Are we only doing baseline GK, or will you be allowing specialist positions like Purifier as well?

To begin with we're all 'baseline', but if you're pure enough, well...

Apothecary, tech-marine etc are still all fine.

Are we considering Matt Ward canon and the part where the Grey Knights bathed in the blood of the Sisters of Battle to ward them from chaos?

Going to say no, although I am still extremely tempted.
