Welcome all players and visitors.

I'm going to begin populating this thread so please don't post until I'm done posting rules and character creation stuff.

You're all welcome to chat with me and each other in the interest check thread.

Update 1:
The lightened rules will be added to this post shortly. I will allow a fair bit of Liberty regarding the D6 challenge results, if it's something really critical then I may jump in to interpret the results in order to guide the narrative. I appreciate it's a bit vague at the moment but once I start off with a couple of NPCs as examples you'll see what I mean. Thereafter, if at any stage you aren't sure feel free to pm me.

Furthermore during character creation remember you are normal people, I will review charcaters so don't get carried away now, during the RP there will be plenty of opportunity to improve.

Update 3:

Stats have a baseline of 1, you have 7 points to spread across all 3 fields, max stat of 5. Keep in mind some people might be strong in some field but not others, that's fair enough, but i doubt that anyone would have a stat of 5 on something. In any case PM me your completed sheets for review, or any relevant queries. Take your time, i'm going to bed now :-) tomorrow I'll post some intro with examples of challenge rolls.

Do you all have some preferences for a city? Would be great if we could agree on a place that most of us have actually been too. I'm in Australia so unless you're all happy to be tourists or something I don't mind making it in the US.@Hipster @Zellected @chronobovino @Raskol

Seeking 2 or more players for this apocalyptic tabletop RP, players will be normal people, or if you're game, play as yourself. setting will most likely be whatever city/town/area the majority of players agree on, to make it the most down to earth terrifying experience!

Type of apocalypse is yet to be determined, i'm happy to go with zombies, alien invasion, viral pandemic, and i'm happy to consider suggestions via PM

The rules are light, 6 attributes with a base of 1 and high of 6, dice rolls (d6, or better yet several d6, is all that's required, or you can use a roll generator, i don't mind) for challenging tasks against the relevant attributes, additional positive dice or negative dice will be added to the pool based on skills, experiences & equipment (or lack of) and other circumstances. Damage comes in the form of stress and accumulates until treated, and some treatments may take time, handicapping players in the interim. Accumulation may ultimately result in death.

I will post rules in detail if there is adequate interest. suffice to say, dice rolls will be honesty based and posted in the ooc, if you're fixing the rolls you're only cheating yourself from the full experience. Having said that many results are largely interpreted by moi anyway muhahaha once we get to know each other and the system then i'll allow more opportunity for players to interpret results so we can get a good flow happening.

I'm not a grammar or punctuation nazi in ooc (i'm sure you've noticed my oft neglect of capitalisation by now), however in IC i expect a reasonable standard, including capitals and appropriate punctuation.

This rules system is for tabletop sessions, i'm confident it'll work here even with one or two post a day players, we all just have to be patient.

Hey all,

I RP'd here several years ago, mostly high casual, post/apoc themed RP's, though I did enjoy some western and historical (non fantasy) RP's, not to mention some very *ahem* 1x1s, looking to get back into it all mainly on the tabletop forum, though likely elsewhere too.

If anyone remembers me feel free to add as a friend, assuming that's still a feature on this fantastic looking new forum!
