JG wondered if the girl had been daydreaming about romance, though she thought she looked too young for that sort of thing. That said, some children did seem to have some mock-romantic relationships with other children sometimes. Either way, she seemed to have snapped out of it and was back to a happy state, so JG stopped thinking about it.

"Great choice! I think it does too." she said, grinning back at Kouh and admiring her choice of weapon. "Where'd you learn to use such a thing? I can't say I've ever seen one before..."

Meanwhile, Seto had recovered from the dark memories of his past and had regained his cheery helpful attitude. Or a façade of it anyway. He walked over to the two girls and observed Kouh's choice of weapon.

"A fine choice for you. How are you with your finances? Do you need some coin?" he asked her, having already had a response from JG.

Seeing as we're all sharing our availability status, I'm probably going to go AWOL for a long time starting Saturday. Flying off to France for a wedding then Canada for an adventure :)

I'll try to make sure my character leaves/dies before then.

JG thought it was an odd criteria, but she had heard of rich organisations or people giving to the poor to make themselves feel better or make themselves look better. It was a strange concept to her, but she didn't question it. Rich people often did strange things that made no sense.

"Thank you, Seto. I really appreciate it!" she said, hugging her new sword to her chest. "I'm fine with money, thanks." she replied, tapping the little pouch she'd stolen from a man within a few hours of waking up near the market. The coins inside the bag clinked as she did so, giving audible signs of the coins' presence.

She held the katana at arms length to gaze down upon it, admiring its beauty. The blade was as expected; folded steel and a curved edge, but it also had a decorative dragon etched on either side of its flat surfaces. The sheath and hilt were a shiny and black as a base, but seemed to have dark red reflections in a similar way as mahogany does. The long hilt of the katana had criss-crossed black fabric for grip over a bright red base. Again, dragons were etched onto the surface, but this time painted gold to contrast the dark background.

Absorbed into the blade, it took a few seconds for her brain to register what Kouh had just said. She smirked, impressed that she'd thought of playing Seto that way, even if she was truly an orphan. JG's eyes lingered on her a moment as she saw her body language switch to one of anxiety again. It almost looked as if she was re-living a bad memory, or thinking of something that was making her worry.

"Are you all right, K?" she asked, concern on her face. "Have you found anything you like?".

Initially suspicious of Seto's question -she'd heard of orphans being targeted for scientific experiments knowing no one of importance would miss them- she noticed a poorly disguised pained expression on his face. Perhaps he was just looking for kindred spirits after all. Her face softened, though she did not feel empathy. She was somewhat surprised to find out Kouh was an orphan herself. She seemed in too good a condition at such a young age. Perhaps she had someone else taking care of her. A sibling, maybe.

"Same here, probably..." she said nonchalantly after a while of debating to herself whether she ought to lie or not. It may be in her advantage to tell the truth, for once.

JG felt a mixture of astonishment and admiration as she watched Kouh play with a hoop blade. She'd never seen anything like it before. At least not used as a weapon. Kouh seemed to be adept at using it, and JG wondered if she was more experienced with the toy or bladed version.
Finally, her eyes rested on the object of her desire. A stand displaying 3 katanas, varying from 39" to 21" in length. Her eyes gleamed as she picked them up, one by one, starting with the longest. This one was too long and too heavy for a girl of her size; the length would trip her up when performing acrobatics, and the weight would bring her centre of gravity off balance. She compared the two shorter ones. Whilst the shortest one was most convenient to carry, it would be of little aid towards an opponent with a long sword. It was barely longer than the dagger that Rafael had given her. The 31" sword was somewhere in the middle, with a 21" blade that would hold its ground against most western swords, but allow her a reasonable range of movements. She took the 31" katana and balanced it in upturned palms of her hand, then turned to face Seto.

"May I have this one?" she asked, eyes wide and hopeful.

JG noted Kouh's anxiety about entering Seto's domain, and thought to herself she ought to be reacting the same way. She wondered if it was the weapon or the friendship that she'd gained that had changed her attitude so much. Carrying a weapon had always made her more confident, but none as much as she was now. Friendship, or even companionship, wasn't something she experienced regularly, due to her involuntary wandering habits. Perhaps part of her thought, hoped, that Rafael would come to her aid if she did get herself in more trouble than she could handle. She knew also that having someone to protect -Kouh that is- and potentially fight alongside, had a tendency to make one braver.

She attempted a reassuring smile towards Kouh, and once it became apparent that Seto would type in a code on the wall, she positioned herself in such a way that she could see and memorise the code. This was in case for whatever reason they became trapped in the establishment. She repeated the code in her head over and over again as they entered the room, until she was confident she had it registered.

Seeing the room full of weapons made JG's eyes glitter, and a broad grin split her face, momentarily revealing two sharp canines that were there one moment, and gone the next, as if they had been normal teeth all along.

"This looks wonderful! But really, we can have anything we like? No strings attached?" she asked, first excited then somewhat suspicious of his intentions. She stayed polite though, not wanting to bite the hand that fed her.

She noted he didn't have any bows, but that wasn't a big issue. She knew and had made her own in the past. It would just have been the lazy option. She skipped the pistol section without even sparing them a curious glance, and slowed as she walked past the knife displays. Whilst tempting, she already had a good dagger, and she didn't want to abuse his generosity. She stopped by the sword displays, looking at each carefully, picking the ones with the right length to test their weight an balance.

"Alright for some!" she said, with mock indignation at him relaxing in a tavern. "I'll be my usual careful self." she said, nodding with a serious enough face that she showed she would heed his advice, but not serious enough to seem anxious about the situation at all. She smirked he avoided calling her harmless. A wise decision. She had a tendency to overreact to prove a point when people who ought to know better made that mistake.

"Don't worry, there's no risk of that." she finished enigmatically. She didn't tell him that she was almost completely illiterate.

"I'll see you at Kyato's then." she said, nodding farewell before turning towards Kyato and Kouh just in time to see Kyato open the door to his establishment.

"Thanks!" she said, smiling at Kyato and stepping through the doorway. She was eager to get her hands on some shiny new toys!

Check out the CS for characters in play. Slenderman, GingerBoi123 and WittyWolf have (had) several characters in play.
This is a pretty brief and inaccurate summary, but should get you started.

Silas (dead lycan) and his gf Akkina had bounties on them or something, Randy helped them out when Titan/Rafael was hunting them down. Some weird shit happens; Seto Kyato was a bad guy and had a bounty for Akkina's sword or something, then suddenly he was a good guy and wants to help, Akkina wonders off and meets Kouh, Raven attacks the group, Silas somehow dies transforming into a warewolf, Akkina goes a bit crazy from grief. Titan met JG and earned her trust, then Titan catches Akkina and brings her in to some guy's mansion for her bounty. Philomel appears, claims to be a childhood friend of Akkina's but she doesn't remember him. He teams up with Randy to rescue Akkina after Titan tells them where to find her. Titan grabs Silas' corpse for the bounty and brings it back to the mansion, grabs the money he's owed then helps Randy and Philomel kill the guy who set the bounty/had the mansion. Akkina is rescued and Randy plans to take her to Kyato's Corporation for a safeplace. Meanwhile JG befriends Kouh and Kyato, who offers to show her his weapon collection. Titan is chilling in a Tavern and can talk to JG through his Gear. So pretty much, most people are slowly heading towards Kyato Corp. No idea where Philomel is. Another of WittyWolf's character is getting ready to stir some shit up possibly. There's a dude who keeps eating sandwiches in front of everyone, and a spiderlady just tried to kidnap some other due who's not being played, and then this doctor dude saved him claiming it was his patient?

Shoulda mentioned that to her at the start, dummy. How would she know to call him Titan if she only knows the name Rafael :P He's gonna have to tell her to keep it hush through the Gear, she's unlikely to figure it out by herself unless she actually sees/hears him call yourself Titan to others.
