I've got this obsession of having all the statuses on my profile page with more than 2 likes. I know that when the wailing winds of darkness come for me, these thumbs up will keep them away!

Hey, I'm Kaithas. I'm still alive.

And the first obstacle presented itself. Sealed, ominous looking doors for a sealed, ominous looking factory. Joy.

"This is your guys' game. I'm crap with tech. Warn me if you're going to be loud, though."

Amy's eyes turned to the surrounding environment, her semblance tuning up as she tried to listen for any activity in the factory or spot any motion.

Sure enough, something in the corner of her eye--a small dark shape--she focused on it, semblance whirring up a few more metaphorical gears as she tried to discern what it was, before it vanished around the alley and out of her line of sight.
Amy winced as the loud sound of Lauren's voice ripped her out of dreamless reverie, one side of her upper lip pulling itself up off her teeth a little as her face contorted... Then she sighed, and sat up, blue eyes opening for just an instant before she rubbed them. Her vision fell to the left, to the glasses that Lauren had left her... and she smiled slightly, picking them up and scrolling the wheel back and forth slowly, watching the level of tint rise and fall.

She rotated, her legs slinging over the edge of her bed, then she hopped up and walked toward her dresser, bare feet padding across the rug she'd thrown under her space in the dorm room. She'd done laundry, and she was back to a full wardrobe. Jean cutoffs and a midriff baring top were the order of the day, and she pulled them on with ease--then put her sunglasses in the breast pocket of her shirt.

"Morning, Lauren," she said. "Thank you for the glasses..."
@Write: 2000 should probs be enough for me.
@Prince of Seraphs

To be completely frank, that's the point. The challenge is to sell me on a death in one thousand words. Use every word wisely, I don't want any filler, nothing that doesn't belong. It can and has been done with great success before and is a completely different talent than 'write as much as you can and sell me on your idea.'

So yeah I'm super serious. Sell me in a thousand words, it requires careful thought and planning moreso than doing it in ten thousand words.

I totally understand the need to not have filler. My personal difficulty with the word limit is that I have to contrive, plot, and show a death scene all while involving the reader emotionally in an extremely short story with very little buildup. Other than that I agree.
are we really doing the electric puns again? I'm appalled. Shocked, even.
@Kaithas

Cry for me!

actually that should really be directed at Plank

I'm a heartless, unfeeling bastard a lot of the time XD
Well I talked to Lug about it in PM's and was given the go ahead, can't wait to see everyone's entries for the next contest!

<Snipped quote by Kaithas>

I believe I was going to judge the Villainous heroes writing challenge if no one else was willing to step up to the plate.

Well, as much as I'm pumped for that contest I actually had one that was a break from prose and profile contests, just for a bit. Little bit of a goofy but fun intermission.
I got the next contest if no one else does. I remember there being some discussion about it earlier but I cannae remember the result.

Either way, I can't post the concept till morning.
Yeah, note to self. Start entries more than two hours before the deadline. Didn't get to develop a few of the concepts as much as I'd have liked to, especially the calling card.

But... It's now time for me to reveal my true source of inspiration.

I challenged myself to make the most evil char I could, based on...
