IC: Amaranth Desire, Living Her Nightmares One Day at a Time
"Damn!" Amy cursed, wishing that she was an owl faunus instead of a hawk. Her eyes were still better than an ordinary person's, but they weren't exactly the 20/2 vision actual hawks had, nor could she sense some of the wavelengths that birds could see. As far as night vision went, hawks were far from the most gifted birds... But of course, hawks didn't exactly have Semblances to make up for deficiencies.
Amy's shield, retracted to allow her to use the Fury's ranged capabilities, whirred back out and, with a clang, locked into place. One more trigger pulled and the spear was in Amy's hands, her stance shifting to hold her shield forward and spear outward from their group. She closed her eyes, took one deep breath, willing the pounding of her heart to calm, allowing her Semblance to go higher, time to slow, and the darkness to resolve itself somewhat, just enough...
"I've got point," she said, letting the breath out, her eyes opening again, her voice a soft but audible whisper, but loud in her ears. It made the most sense. With the Fury in shield form and her senses ramped to the point they were, she'd be the most capable of picking a way through the hall and blocking these things. "Get my back," she whispered, then smirked, muttering something too low for any of the others to hear, starting toward the light slowly, her weapon and defense ready to parry any of the incoming goblinoids.
Regardless of whether they wanted to go into it, she and the others at least needed some more light.
