There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of incredible RP ideas that are wasted every year, due simply to a poorly formatted Interest Check. Shit's gotta pop off the screen and punch you in the face!

Original Roleplays:
Here are some Roleplay Ideas that I have attempted to run in the past but which ultimately failed because I'm a trash GM. If any one of these ideas interest you i.e. You'd like to assist me in running one or you'd fancy trying to run a game yourself, please do not hesitate to contact me first. I don't mind you taking inspiration but don't blatantly rip my shit off. P.S. I have several old threads archived, as well as PMs to myself, in order to stake my claim to these Roleplay ideas.
Please keep an eye on this post for changes to Section Statuses and the addition of new Missions or Quests. I will notify people with a new post and updated hiders will have *New* placed above them for a limited time.

The Free Section has been unsealed, meaning there are no Starter Missions for this section.
Story
N-008 Culling: Numbers of N-008 Infected members or âNoobsâ have been steadily increasing over the last month. Orders from the Advanced Section Leadership are to cut down this number to a more manageable size. One NLR (N-008 Lure Resonator) will be provided for this mission. It is your job to find a suitable position to deploy the NLR and defend it until a sufficient number of âNoobsâ have gathered. Only then will the resonator fire, immediately destroying all infected within the blast radius. All non-infected personnel volunteering for this mission must be subjected to a QVS (Quarantine Virus Scan) before entering the Free Section and upon exiting the Section Checkpoint. (Min. 4 people required. NPCs allowed)

Open Sesame!: The entrance to the Nation Section has been blocked for as long as anyone can remember. However, recent air-drone scouting reports have shown that there are a group of gigantic dark chasms that have opened up inside of the section caused by the earthquakes. Some scientists from the Articles & Guides Section, who now reside within the Advanced Section, have reason to believe that the Black Fog originated from these Chasms. Before they can send out teams to investigate these abyssal pits, however, the entrance to the Nation Section must be opened. How? You ask! Why, with explosives of course! Your job is to journey to the Nation Section Checkpoint and blow away all the rubble to allow for a path to be cleared and then secure the Checkpoint. Oh! Did I forget to mention? The scouting reports also spotted a new type of ugly living within the Nation Section. Theyâre like really big dogs...but without the fur...or skin for that matter...with wings...and teeth! Really BIG TEETH! And claws...and..um...Yeah, you need to kill those things. (Min. 4 people required. NPCs allowed)
The city of RolePlayerGuild has fallen, although the reason and the culprit behind itsâ demise is unknown. A Black Fog covers the skies above the once-thriving city, starving it of sunlight. The gates of entry have been sealed shut by a dark, Sentient Ooze. Previous attempts to remove the Ooze, by killing it with fire specifically, have been met with vicious retaliation resulting in severe injury and in some cases people being pulled into it. Whether they survive is currently unknown. As such, there is no known means of escaping the city.
The Free Section, by far the largest section of the city, has been overrun by infected members of the N-008 Virus. A vicious and extremely volatile pathogen that has spread rapidly amongst the population, mutating those affected into rabid and primitive beings. Efforts to contain the Virus have proved efficient so far but the number of infected are growing, though it is unknown how, and it won't be long before they are no longer able to be contained within the Free Section.
The Nation Section has been decimated by terrain-altering earthquakes that have opened up several vast chasms. The entrance checkpoint to this section is currently blocked and thus, it is unknown how many survivors, if any, remain inside. The Meta Section of the city, which resides as the main hub for all aid and welfare for the city during disasters such as this has been enveloped by the Sentient Ooze. No contact has been made with anyone that remained inside that section since the catastrophic events and it is believed that they are all dead.
Of the Off Topic Sections, only the Spam and Member's Lounge Sections remain accessible. However, the Member's Lounge is currently a VIP only section for the wealthiest members of the city. No one is allowed in or out of that section unless explicit permission has been given. The Spam Section remains desolate and abandoned. There are rumours of small numbers of N-008 Infected running loose around the section. Reports indicate that the "Noobs", as they are informally known, have burrowed into the Free Section Sewers and into the sewer systems of the Spam Section. The Checkpoint for that section remains on high alert and only a few patrols are ever sent into that section.
The Arena Section is currently home to many of the psychotic and dangerous members of city. Whereas before, they were held to order by strict security measures and provided with an outlet for their murderous urges by participating in martial tournaments, since the main body of the security/military forces have left to guard other checkpoints, these members have run amok and have begun fighting amongst themselves freely, also attacking any roaming members within the section. There seems to be only one vague figure of leadership, a relatively new member called Justice Valance, though not much is known about him. The entry checkpoint is heavily guarded to prevent any members from leaving. Any other member is permitted to enter providing a QVS (Quarantine Virus Scan) is successful, however, once you've entered there is no leaving.
The Casual Section remains as the last truly safe section of the city. It is the least hit by the catastrophic events and now hosts over 80% of the remaining population. Whilst there are many issues such as overcrowding and poverty, life behind the section walls are as peaceful as you can get without having a fortune to your name. The majority of the surviving populace aid in efforts to keep this section safe, though only a few may venture beyond the Checkpoint to confront the dangers that lie beyond.
After the complete destruction of the News Section, where the Leadership usually operated from, the survivors were leaderless for a time and chaos threatened to destroy them. That was until it was revealed that the Leadership had been moved into the Advanced Section before the attacks hit and were now orchestrating a widespread survival effort, pooling resources and survivors into the Casual and Advanced Sections of the city. Several surviving members of the Research & Development teams from the Article & Guides Section have been drafted into the Advanced Section to work on a cure for the N-008 Virus. All military efforts are commanded from the Advanced Section, with only one Entrance Checkpoint being available which leads directly into the Casual Section. Entry into this section requires strict High-Casual Clearance.

Hello! If you managed to read through all that above then congratulations to you! So now you know the current state of our dear RPG, but what of you guys? Well, you're alive, which is great of course but what are you doing? And that, my friends, is entirely up to you, within reason, and also within the parameters I'm going to set out below. Before you read on, however, please take the time to read the rules of this RP that I shall display henceforth:
1. No Power-Play, God-Modding or otherwise controlling someone else's character without their permission.
2. If you are going to play as another member of the site or introduce them as an NPC, you Absolutely Must receive their explicit permission beforehand. I don't want an angry mob of RPer's flooding my inbox because you RPed them running into a wall or some other stupidness. Please note that I Will be checking to see if permission has been gained before you start playing. Anyone found having not been given permission will have their Character Sheet instantly denied without question.
3. There are no Super Saiyan Jesus Fighters in this RP, teamwork is imperative to your continued survival. Please try to remember this.
4. This RP is likely to be on the gorier side of the line but not so much as to incur the wrath of the Mods. This is a PG13+ roleplay, fade to black and PMs are required for mature content.
5. Side-Missions/Quests must first be submitted and accepted by myself or a CO-GM before you can run off and enjoy them. I have left plenty of sections uninhabitable or inaccessible for now to allow for future side-missions.
6. Please post only Completed & Accepted Character Sheets into the CS Tab. I'd rather it not be cluttered with half-finished sheets.
7. Good Luck, Have Fun!
More information about this RP can be found in the spoilers below:
The Survivors are the those who remain untouched but not unscathed by the events that have rocked RPG. Whereas before they were divided by sections and social standings, now they are all bound together by the same fate. There are a few, however, who are unwilling to accept this fate and perform a variety of jobs to assist in returning the city of RolePlayerGuild to its' former glory. Some of these job roles are stated below:
Soldier - The Soldiers are at the forefront of the battle for survival. These people are the ones who provide security and safety for the remaining population. Soldiers usually join one of three Divisions.
The Quarantine Guard Division (Q-Guard): Soldiers under this Division are the men and women who stand guard at many of the Entrance Checkpoints. Whilst some postings are extremely dangerous and require a clear head, guts and a small amount of good fortune, other postings such as the Member's Lounge Checkpoint are a walk in the park. Many Soldiers sign up with hopes to land the easier postings. Q-Guards are often seen abusing their power and have garnered a behavioral stigma of themselves due to this.
Special Warrior Offensive Response Division (S.W.O.R.D.) Soldiers of this Division are seen as heroes to most, but to some they are pompous fools. They are the first choice to be sent into dangerous sections to clear areas of hostiles and often go out on numerous patrols to keep some sections secure.
Internal Defense, Reconnaissance & Intelligence Service (I.D.R.I.S.) These Soldiers are often lone operators. They have been given the highest level clearance of all Soldier Divisions and often perform highly dangerous, behind-enemy-line recon missions. The survival rate of this Division is the highest of all three, however.
Researcher - Researchers are made up, mostly, of the survivors from the Articles & Guide Section. However, not all of them have been allowed to live within the confines of the Advanced Section. In fact, it is only the Senior Researchers who live there and it is they who dictate to the two Research Divisions regarding missions.
Forward Investigative Expeditionary Learning Division (F.I.E.L.D.): Researchers of this Division are usually the zanier character types. They are generally unfazed by danger when given the chance to research or invent something new. That is why they head out on the frontlines with Soldiers from S.W.O.R.D. to aid in the survival efforts with their knowledge and expertise under extreme situations.
The Institute for Survival Technology & Research Division (S.T.R): Researchers in this Division are those who reside within the Casual Section. Their specific mission is to research new ways to provide food, water and aid to the other inhabitants of the Casual Section as well as inventing new weapons and technology to provide better defensive capabilities.
Medic - Medics are the cornerstone of the survival effort. Without their hard work and dedication to their jobs, injuries and illnesses that could be easily cured would be left to inflict even more losses. They are at the forefront when it comes to medicinal needs. They only have one Division.
Frontline Emergency Aid Response Division (F.E.A.R.): Every Medic joins this Division. They call themselves F.E.A.R. because they believe that with them around, there is nothing else to be afraid of. This has been proven to boost morale and the effective operation of many combat teams. At least one Medic is assigned to every Soldier team from every Division. Many of them also reside within the Casual Section, another front-line where they actively combat illnesses caused and spread via overcrowding.
The first Catastrophe to hit RolePlayerGuild was the outbreak of the N-008 Virus. No one knows just how this virus came to infect the population so rapidly but the effects of the pathogen were soon known to all. Any member infected by the virus underwent four stages of transformation. The stages are as follows.
Stage 1 - The infected member begins to exhibit extreme influenza-like symptoms. High fevers and chest infections cause them to become bed-ridden. It is during this stage that they are most likely to spread the virus via airborne methods. Coughing, sneezing etc.
Stage 2 - The infected member begins to show heavy signs of distress and discomfort, screaming in pain and succumbing to random episodic fits. They start to become more violent during this stage, being able to transfer the virus via bodily fluids and airborne methods. This is considered to some as the most infectious stage.
Stage 3 - The infected member no longer responds to any medical treatment and acts increasingly more violent toward those who try to help. They attack anyone who gets too close and actively attempts to escape from any medical facility or room they are being held in.
Stage 4 - The infected member undergoes a complete metamorphosis. Their skin changes to a pure black colour, whilst also becoming extremely dry and scale-like. Their eyes grow larger and lose all previous indications of colour or pupils. They grow fangs and claws and begin to revert towards more animalistic instincts. In this stage, infected members are extremely dangerous and exceptionally volatile towards non-infected members. They will immediately attack on sight and attempt to consume or infect via bitten transmission. They roam in packs though there is no distinguished leadership system, or if there is it is currently unknown.
The second catastrophe of RPG was the massive quakes that shook the entire city, decimating numerous streets and buildings alike. Countless denizens of the city were killed during these tectonic movements and even more are now missing, either trapped within sealed off sections of the city or buried underneath the rubble. As a result of the earthquakes, four massive chasms opened up within the Nation Section, like the gaping maws of infernal beasts. The Advanced Section Leadership have yet to send a team to open up the Nation Section, let alone down into one of those vast pits, but the whispers within the Casual Section say that it won't be long before the order is announced. And when it is, there's no telling what they'll find down there.
Only two things are certain about the third catastrophe to hit the city of RolePlayerGuild. The first, is that it came from the chasms caused by the earthquakes. And the second is that sunlight absolutely cannot penetrate it. This leaves the city in a constant state of nighttime. Although, if not for the numerous flood lights and generators setup early on into the relief effort, the survivors would be left to defend themselves in complete darkness. Currently, there is no known plan that has been formulated to combat this Fog, however, the idea of just, 'Shooting it with a massive lazer.' is steadily gathering momentum.
The fourth and final catastrophe is just as mysterious as the reasons behind these events. Although, one thing is for sure: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO KILL IT WITH FIRE!
Despite the RP being largely free-form and sandbox, the idea of Missions and Quests allows players to interact together in order to advance the over-arching storyline surrounding the crippled city of RPG. Completion of these missions will open up new sections of the city and side-quests for you to venture off into and explore. They are categorized thusly:
Missions Missions come in two forms, Starter & Story. Starter Missions are exclusively reserved for sections of the city that have been sealed off. In order to open that section, the Starter Mission must be completed.
Once the Starter Mission has been successfully completed, the players will have unlocked their first Story Mission of that area. Story Missions must be completed in order. The next Story Mission will not appear until the previous Mission has been successfully completed.

You can start on your character sheet by clicking Here!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! You can contact me via PM or jump into our chat: chatzy.com/91429974096477
I'm an absolute crap GM/co-GM, but I'll be more than glad to help you on the side when it comes to brainstorming and checking/accepting character sheets to check that all requirements are met.
Personally, I don't see how you can be a bad GM, unless you actively abuse your power, but that's unlikely of happening. Just do what you think is right and if you have any problems, give me a shout! ^^
It's a good IC. Maybe even a GREAT IC.
I might shoot for a Co spot if no one else is willing.
In all honesty, and not meaning to blow my own horn here, but I find it to be rather good myself. I'm pretty proud of it actually. (Funny that the idea of it came from the backs of Video Games)
And consider our two Co-GM spots filled then! (Hurrah!) I'll start a PiratePad where we can gather to discuss story happenings! ^^
Wow! I'm stunned by the interest this has gathered so quickly :D
I already have a lot of the OOC written up, but I still need to add more to it, naturally. I'll reiterate that I will be needing Co-GMs to help me run this. Jobs will include CS checking and accepting, Story Mission/Side-Mission brainstorming and accepting & the general upkeep of the RP.
Picture the different sections of the site as sections within that city. Each with their own purpose and social standing, separated by checkpoints and guarded accordingly. The population making up these sections each vastly different from the rest and do not usually interact with each other, with a few exceptions. Life within the city is normally very easy going. Industry and economy thrives whilst the combative strength of its' military continues to grow.
Now imagine that the Guildfall event, over a year ago, was a series of disasters that has left the prosperous city crippled and on the brink of annihilation. A sudden virus outbreak, ground-shattering earthquakes, a sky-smothering black fog and the appearance of a unknown, sentient ooze. All of these things have caused untold amounts of chaos and destruction within the once-thriving city of RolePlayerGuild.
On top of all this, however, Mahz, the esteemed and revered leader of the city, has gone missing without a trace.
Now, trapped within the place that they used to call home, the survivors have been forced to defend themselves by fortifying the Casual & Advanced Sections of the city. Most of the other sections are either blocked off or uninhabitable, whilst the remaining few are too dangerous to survive in. What could have caused these sudden destructive happenings? Who could be behind it? And what is the reason for this attack on a city many have come to love?
Play As Yourself!
That's right. In this RP, you can decide whether you want to role play with yourself as the character.
RPG Welcomes All!
RolePlayerGuild is home to many people all over the globe of all colours, shapes and sizes. With that in mind, your character can be from any race you'd like. Be it a Demon, Fairy, Anthro, Vampire or any other race you can think of! (Gods/Demi-Gods excluded)
Play As Your Friends!
Providing you gain their permission first, feel free to create a character sheet based on any of your friends who have joined the site or even introduce them as NPCs. Who knows, maybe they'll even join up themselves?
Freeform/Sandbox-Style Play!
Take charge of your own actions within the city. March forth into the Free Section to fight the infected hordes. Prove yourself as a fighter by entering the Arena Section and take part in the eternal battle that rages on between members. Attempt to discover the secrets behind the Sentient Ooze or the cause of the Black Fog. Or you could even venture down into one of the many vast chasms caused by the earthquakes, who knows what you'll find down there?
Missions & Quests!
Missions and Quests will be handed out by myself for you to complete in order to advance the story. Only once a number of missions have been completed will the story then progress, helping to make sure that nobody gets left behind. (Creation of your own side-missions is possible, provided they are accepted by a GM first)
PvE & PvP!
Within the remaining sections of the city, you will find many opportunities to do battle against the NPCs that threaten your continued survival or amongst yourselves. The Arena Section of the city is specifically PvP-based with the only way out being death. (PvE missions set within the Arena Section are the only exclusion to the No Exit Rule)
Always Open!
If all goes well, then new players should be able to join at any time and easily pick up the plot at the same point as everyone else. It is my wish that always being Open will encourage a healthy amount of players to take part in this harrowing tale, based on the Guild's real life experience.
"The forefront in Interstellar & Inter-Planetary Defense, Reconnaissance & Intelligence Services." The Visipian Collective are the remnants of a cybernetically augmented sub-race of Humans who were almost entirely wiped out during the war against The First Empire, which included the destruction of their home world. They survive as a primarily nomadic faction that offer elite mercenary services for hire.
The Grey Princes These five members are descendants of the original five captains who fled their old home system. Alone, they are highly illusive and exceptionally sought after for their exemplary expertise. They each control their own mercenary enterprises within the remaining Visipian population and often find themselves on either side of a contract. Together, however, they form the Onyx Council which meet every so often, in secret, to resolve conflicts and decide upon choices that would effect the Collective as a whole.
Aster Javian III
Following the destruction of their home world and the extinction of their Royal family, The Collective remnants survived as a predominantly nomadic faction living on whatever planet or asteroid they could.
New Visipia Currently dubbed 'New Visipia', The Collective decided that it was finally time to build a new home, or rather, buy one. With a unanimous vote from The Onyx Council, the Grey Princes pooled together their vast hidden wealth to buy a new Home System discovered by Zenith Heavy Industries. They then delegated a relatively small group of the population to inhabit their new home world and begin laying the foundations to rebuild their civilization.
Collective Embassies Over the years, surviving as a nomadic faction meant setting up unofficial embassies upon certain planets or within certain systems that acted as a base of operations and a means of contacting The Collective for work. Where some may be as big as a countryside manor houses, others are simple safe-house apartments. Most of them were legitimately acquired, however, there are a few that are hidden well due to mercenary work being an illicit trade in some parts of the galaxy.
Notable Embassies:
The history of The Visipian Collective is far from a pretty one.
Harking back to the days of The First Empire, where early expansion missions meant the spawning of many newly formed colonies, Visipia remained as one of the latter systems discovered and inhabited during these times. This system was supposed to be an example of the Empire's success at deep exploration into the northern territory of the Lesser Arm. During the Imperial year of 3123, the deep space exploratory party discovered and quickly inhabited the newly found system. Fortune had favoured their expedition it seemed, as not only did the system contain a habitable planet twice the size of Almata, but there also remained a heavy asteroid presence which, upon scanning the system, held rich amounts of ores and minerals needed to lay the foundations of their new colony.
It wasn't long, however, before disaster struck. Barely a year into their colonization efforts planet side, the expeditioners had disturbed a dormant bacteria that thrived upon a certain species of the planet's vegetation. When it came across human flesh, however, the alien bacteria very suddenly and very violently attacked the new arrivals, causing widespread panic and almost killing off the humans indefinitely. It was only due to the miraculous advent of cybernetic augmentation that allowed the humans to fight back against the bacteria, eventually immunizing themselves to its infection through the use of nanotechnology, which had been in Research & Development long before the turn of the millennium. It was because of this 'Reaver Disease', that Cyberware became a commonality within the system and, for the next century, spear-headed the colonization efforts.
3245 marked the arrival of the Imperial Delegation. A small Imperial Fleet sent to check up on its' deep space success story, considering that the last known contact it had received was over a hundred years ago. Communications were discovered early to be nigh-on impossible due to the numerous and dense interstellar clouds that littered the space surrounding the edges of the system facing the Empire.
- Delegation condemns the use of Cyberware, claiming the Colonists have tainted Humanity. - Delegation Fleet attacks the colonists who defend themselves using their augments. - Colonists steal Delegation Flagship and a few minor ships before boarding the rest of the fleet through the use of early V.I.R.U.S. tactics. - Colonists secede from the Empire, forming the Royal Visipian House. - The Colonist live undisturbed for a further 140 years after they manage to send a signal informing the Empire of their secession. - 3385. The Empire sends a larger fleet to requisition the system from the defiant Colonists. - Visipia is sacked and destroyed as the Empire manages to crush the Colonist fleet. The self-proclaimed Prince of Visipia; Rubius Javian is executed. - There are only five surviving ships, with one being the original capital ship lead by Fleet Admiral Aster Javian. - The Visipian flee to the south of the Lesser Arm and begin selling themselves as mercenaries for hire. - Several arguments between the ship crews cause them to eventually go their separate ways. - The Visipians live in separate nomadic factions for the next 247 years. - 3632. The Onyx Council is formed from the leaders of the separated Visipian factions. They are renamed; The Visipian Collective. - 4500. The Onyx Council decide to purchase a new home system after spending the last 800 years integrating into the existing galaxy.
