There must be hundreds, if not thousands, of incredible RP ideas that are wasted every year, due simply to a poorly formatted Interest Check. Shit's gotta pop off the screen and punch you in the face!

@boomlover If by pilot you mean the Navigation Officer for the entire ship, then sure. Consider the spot yours. :)
Naturally, they'll take orders from the Captain but your character will generally be the go-to-guy for all other navigational needs, including piloting the ship during battles.

Well if he were the Lead Officer of the Horizon's Sylph pilots he would be entrusted in all things related to the upkeep and maintenance of the craft and training/organization of the other pilots. He would most likely also be very experienced as an engineer for the fighter-craft and would probably spend most of his time, when he's not fighting, fixing ships or attempting to come up with new ways of making the Sylph more efficient.

How does that sound?

Light Crystals are very much in abundance throughout the world, so rarity wouldn't be a problem at all in fact.
