Salutations and Felicitations!

As my title alludes to I'm a student. I'm currently studying for my BA in History and Ancient History. I love diving into lore be it that of the past, or whether it be the brilliant product of the human imagination.

But just as fun I find is picking lore apart and making something new with it, and that's what draws me to good role-plays. Those little references shaped into new forms are really what helps to keep me hooked, just as much as good writing.

@justTypical No worries, we probably won't start until a couple more characters are ready to go. I'll make sure that if we start you can still hop in when you get back.
Chris clambered out of the ruined car he'd taken refuge in. He checked about himself and found all his possessions were still present. As he got of the car he hoisted his pack onto his shoulders and resettled his tactical vest, the various magazines clacked metallically against one another as he got up.

He resumed walking, he'd been trudging through the ruined urban landscape for days. He checked the tourist guidebook that he'd scavenged from a shop on the edge of town. It's slightly blackened pages were completely unreadable in some places, but there was enough for Chris to navigate with.

As he made his way down a street he heard raised voices. He dropped down into a crouch rifle at the ready. The majority of people he'd come across were civilians, most of them were armed but they weren't trained, they didn't have any combat experience to speak of.

Chris looked down the scope of his rifle, he saw two figures, seemingly arguing. One gestured towards a parking building. Chris kept the rifle trained on them, he decided to watch and see what they were doing before he did anything rash.
@Narcotic Dollie Exactly why I'm asking, I think it would really fit into Livia's character.
@Eviledd1984 Yes, feel free to put a character together.

@justTypical No that works fine. Albion is very much a mash up of current day Britain with a dash of Victorian class division and then cyberpunk. So Thomas would fit in perfectly, he would also be useful to the characters when they're trying to work out the source of the disappearances. What with being a man on the inside of the state bureaucracy and all.
@Ace of flames01 Sorry to ask again, is necromancy something we can use?
@Gate Keeper It probably can, but considering that phantoms and ghosts are little other than souls I'd be careful if you're going to fight Livia. I mean her sword basically burns and destroys souls so if you're little more than a soul that's probably something to watch out for.

What about your sword? From what you said it's not really a corporeal blade and more a focal point for magic?
@Gate Keeper So you're the other phantom player are you? I was wondering who that was. It does seem our characters are quite perfect opposites, I haven't been able to play an evil character for quite a while, so I though I'd go all out with it.
@Ace of flames01 Sorry about the absolute bombardment of questions, I was just wondering would necromancy fall within the purview of the powers that Livia can wield?
@Narcotic Dollie

Lady Livia glided in between the cold stones of the underground crypt. It felt reassuring and homely to her as she flitted about amongst the dead. The ancient books had been right, a crypt hidden under such a quaint forest. She rolled the name around in her head, Deathwood, very appealing to one such as her.

She floated through a few more chambers admiring the craftsmanship that had gone into making the various coffins that were sealed tight. They were ancient coffins, that much she could tell by the style of the carvings. They were still young in her eyes, only a couple of centuries old at most.

Sadly she tore her eyes away from the craftsmanship and death that surrounded her. Floating up through the ceiling and the soil that covered the tomb she made her way flickering across the forest. She didn't travel at any great speed, she was in no rush. The plants and rocks brushed through her incorporeal form. She smiled behind the shadows that covered her face, a twisted abomination frolicking through flowers, now that was new she thought to herself.

Then she saw it in the distance, a light. She stopped curling her shadowy form around a tree and peering at the light in the distance. Then she saw the small figure, it wore dark clothes and was hefting a larger mass nearer to the fire that was crackling handsomely by this point. Deciding that the figure could do her no harm she glided towards the light source.

She positioned herself in such a way as to take the figure by surprise, hiding herself in amongst the shadows that dotted the clearing.

'What have we here?' she inquired aloud, her voice was fragmentary and sinister, a chorus of loud whispers that seemed to seep from all the shadows at once. 'A lost lamb and her sheep all alone in the forest?' she continued, 'poor thing all alone.'
