Cuyler’s attention was split between the overpowering
Magykal presence he could still detect and the squabbling behind him. He was grateful to see the royals, it was almost a relief seeing someone from his old life. He felt he should correct Halley on who the actual Princess was but it would prove useless. She didn’t really care and they didn’t really have the time to go through the royal’s family history.
”I think we should move on,” he said, unaware that the dragon boat had risen once again. Cuyler was worried they were starting to draw attention to themselves and how could they not. A giant fireball, followed by the landing and take off of a giant dragon as a boat? It was bound to be somewhat alarming. Even in a place with unique traffic as the Port. Cuyler looked up, seeing shadow and watched the dragon boat fly away. He remembered the spinning axe and frowned. It was pointing to them at one point. Perhaps they knew of some information that would help them on this quest. Of course it was too late to ask now.
”Do you feel that Magyk?” He directed his question to Halley as he moved closer to them. Thia remained in her position as outside guard.
Titan stared in disbelief as his sword was transformed into hundreds of butterflies. What on earth? What was he to do now! That witch! Titan glared at the strange woman, infuriated but he was quickly scooped and unable to retaliate. A noise squeaked out of him from being suspended over thin air as they were transported back to the Palace. He saw water rapidly approaching and had the good sense to take a deep breath before plummeting into the water. He swam out from under the boat and hoisted himself up onto the dock. He was wet and a bit miserable. He liked that sword. It had been a gift.

Lennox bowed his head to Bruce before he nodded. “That would be excellent, thank you. Would you mind reaching out and seeing if you could locate the Queen and Princess as well. They may be inside that room as well or somewhere else within the Palace,” Lennox explained. Of course, if Bruce didn’t detected the Prince inside, there was probably no one with in the Queen’s Room. Odd, that would be the best place for them to be.
”Well if you’re offering,” she said with a smirk and fell into step beside Gypsy. Perhaps Amarantha had gone a bit soft, having moved up in ranks and staying within the Palace walls. After all, she did let Vampires into her home and who knew how long they had been here casing the place. After all, she had seen this woman within the market a week or so ago. It could have been even longer and she didn’t even know.
”You can call me Viper,” Amarantha said simply. She wasn’t about to give her real name out, that could come later if it had to and Amarantha didn’t all out care if Gypsy believed her or not on this one. A name was a name and sometimes they changed like the tide.
They made it outside and Amarantha shifted, looking over at the barracks when Gypsy mentioned having a snack. She bristled but relaxed her face and looked over at her new, temporary friend.
”Seems a bit much. I don’t think we need to stop here, how about within town?” Amarantha leaned heavily on her words, hoping to convince her otherwise but it fell through like a rock through tissue paper.
“Nah, we got's to finish the job luv,” Gypsy simply responded. Amarantha looked towards the barracks. She had two options. Take out Gypsy now and lose her only lead or follow the crazed Vampire and kill a few people before getting away or being killed.
”Well we best get started then,” Amarantha said and walked forward. Puck had a saying, the good of the few outweigh the good of the many. It was always a little funny to Amarantha but Puck was always one to think towards the future rather than the present. It’s probably why he didn’t foresee himself getting eaten by a dragon. Amarantha instead was deciding to believe the good of the many outweighing the good of the few. She needed to get on the good side with this Vampire and if that meant killing some of her people to save the greater good of the Castle, than she would.

Ahote continued to watch the giant while Prince Myrus started to talk, identifying the creature as a Frost Giant just as Ahote had determined himself and then he mentioned something called Ragnarok. Ahote glanced at the Prince before moving forward to continue following the giant.
”Ragnarok… the end of ends for the Nine Realms, according to Norse Mythology. Hmm, I am not sure if this is what that is but I do know these Frost Giant’s are Loki’s followers at present. When I first arrived, I checked the past and found Loki sitting on the throne with a red headed woman lying at his feet,” he looked over at the Prince and placed a hand on his shoulder.
”I do not know what time we have been plunged into so I do not know who the woman was. All I know is that this is the perceived future of the Castle and I intend to find a way to change it. Will you join me?” Of course the Prince didn’t have much of a choice Ahote thought but Myrus had also come a long way in his training so if he did decide to go on his own, Ahote would respect that.
”As for how long you have been gone. I do not know for after we entered the Queen’s Room, your sisters and Titan disappeared inside a cupboard. There were Vampires in the hallway and I was intending to find something to either bring your siblings back from wherever they went or stop the vampires. Instead I found a glass shard and was transported here.”Ahote turned his attention back to the Frost Giant. He could see across the waterway. They seemed to be at the Palace Boat Launch and the Giant was making its way across to the other side of the Castle. Strange how Ahote could see to the other side when earlier that day there were buildings and other structures blocking the view. But that was a different time. Ahote scanned for some other type of floating device that would allow them passage across. They would have to wait until the Frost Giant made his landing though as there was no cover for Ahote and the Prince. Ahote did spot two small paddle boats, more like the small boats he used at home for water travel or fishing. They were made for one person but at the Castle he had seen children using them for play. They would have to do and hopefully they would hold.
While pointing out the boats, Ahote spoke.
”We can take those once the Frost Giant is across. Then we can make it to the other side. If we lose sight of him I can track him,” Ahote spoke confidently.
