Antoinette McCarthy
Antoinette looked back up when Mary sounded calmer and more like herself. Antoinette smiled lightly at Mary before glancing at Guin. Hearing there was another voice or entity in Mary’s head drawing on the Phoenix wasn’t a comforting thought. If Antoinette told Mary what she wanted to do for her, would that signal the other entity to build up their guards and block Antoinette out?
Antoinette wiggled her nose while she tried to think it out, deciding what options would be the best here. Arnold made little comforting noises in her ear while she thought it over. Mary seemed ready to try whatever, which was all the encouragement Antoinette needed. She stood up once Perry seemed better, and stood with Guin.
”I think we need to create some sort of mental wall, with Mary having access to the Phoenix on one side and the other entity on the other. That should give Mary more control, and then we can expel the Phoenix,” Antoinette explained to Guin. ”Our combined ability should make that a reality.” Antoinette’s purple eye glowed briefly while she waited for Guin’s answer.
