Bio

They call me Kamil Horowski, 28 years old guy straight up from Koszalin, in Northern Poland. I work in sewage plant and make sure I keep water clean and stuff. Pretty chilly job, which I appreciate it as naturally chill and relaxed type of guy. Oh well, my interests include Anime & Manga, reading good books and fanfiction, RPG (Duh, what would I do here otherwise ?! :D), history, geography, lazing around, sleeping and listening good music (mostly hipster stuff like Corvus Corax or Leon Vynehall). So yeah, that's it.

@Kejmur Hmm that is a very simplistic system. I think I may try that. I can at least use it as a format when working on everyone's characters with them. Speaking of which, what characters are people thinking of playing as? I'd like to have a diverse cast, but player freedom is more important.

@LokiLeo789 I'm glad to see your interest! What kind of character would you be interested in playing?

If anyone would like, they can PM me a character sheet. You don't have to worry about stats at the moment, but you can give me some character background- how you'd like your character to develop, their class, their race, their personality, etc. Thanks!

I give all credit to the creator of it to Demogorgon from polish lastinn.info forum rpg (I mean last option). Those numbers are specific and are aimed towards low level adventure (in our case novice) and street level super-hero fighting as it includes normal human level (3-5 points in one stats for normal human I would call great/genius level of expertise). Over 5 points we enter inhuman hero level, 1-2 is just mediocre person. You may upgrade it the way I mentioned it. Heck, if you feel like doing it let's say god-level, you may just put 12 in each of 4 stats and get max +7 points in one statistics. But yes, it's truly simple system ideal for forum typing.

On character - something probably without magic, some sort of mercenary hunter or something. I may consider something eastern (ninja, sohei, etc.) if your world have those. But yeah, I need to think of something first.

EDIT: Sure, I will. When I create characters I just randomly look for picture(s) on internet first and I fit in character to match it/them.
This will be fun

Every single time I see this character I can't help but be reminded of 'Hatoful Boyfriend' (visual novel about pigeon school :D). Do you by any chance know about it ? It's fun read. As fun as this character :P.
Maybe I was a lil bit overeager (I apologize in advance just in case), but I couldn't stop myself from posting :D. Excitement and all :D. I will restrain myself next time, pinky swear :P.

Added Wakizashi blade in equipment just for additional style points. I hope it's not a problem. May apply Ki to it as well.

Clarissa

Blue Base Company

"I admit this isn't exactly what I expected. I was in the middle of taking care of another criminal group and ended up here. Even if I didn't enjoy myself and they were so weak! No thrill and excitement from good fight whatsoever! Ugh, monster headache as a bonus also isn't something I looked for...

Some people would question what exactly happened and Clarissa didn't exactly understand herself. It was another 'vigilante hunt' as she described those. She wanted to strike last bastard down, when portal suddenly opened up in front of her and pulled Clarissa to this dimension. She despised criminals mostly thanks to the upbringing of her father. In the far past he established certain group of 'vigilante hunters' which main job was to hunt or at least neutralize mafia like organizations, mostly those of the worst kind. Human trafficking, slave trading, organ sellers. In other words those powerful enough to avoid the authorities or those with enough money to corrupt them and win all kinds of potential lawsuits. And their job was to make sure they were punished accordingly. Sometimes with straight up ruthless violence, which wasn't appreciated by mentioned earlier authorities. Clarissa considered that lack of appreciation truly annoying. If they did their job properly people like her wouldn't be needed in first place!

So far their group managed to conceal their activities, but Clarissa one year ago made a mistake while trying to activate ki suppresion kevlar, which caused malfunction of said kevlar and revealed her existance in the middle of 'cleaning criminals' work. Yeah, sudden arrest and lawsuit which followed after caused lots of annoyance for Clarissa and the lawyer she hired wasn't exactly cheap either! From all this mess she at least gained pretty cool nickname "Red River". She admitted that she could be brutal in her fights and wasn't afraid of potential risk of dying. It was just an additional fun! One of her dreams was to find people strong enough to cause her trouble and in process make her stronger, push Clarissa to the limit while having good time. With all that fighting one day she realized that her social interactions were lacking. It would be nice if she managed to find a guy or girl but so far they were all so dissapointing, bunch of wimps. Well it's not like she would choose relationship over good fights, no no no ! Even if her father in the end found a way to travel between dimensions to search for new jobs.

One day constant nagging, orders and arguments with her father pushed Clarissa to the limit and she decided to just beat him and his people just to leave. In the end Clarissa managed to do it as years of constant physical training and meditation sessions made Clarissa strong enough to overpower anyone from her dimension and just move on. Simple and effective. From that moment forward she just worked solo and it would be nice and dandy if all those jobs weren't so boring. Clarissa barely needed to use any of her strength! Last job was supposed to be exciting, but... it was just dissapointing.

And in the end she landed in the middle of abadoned base with no plan to follow. Where was she?! Clarissa at least hoped this sudden dimensional travel. As mentioned most people would be shocked with this development, but self-proclaimed Anti-Hero was always proud of her laidback and not exactly 100% serious outlook on her life. If something happened - you just needed to move on, her own favorite motto. Plus Clarissa with her horrible Ki sense always had trouble with finding good opponents. To detect Ki energy she needed it to literally explode. And to her shock this is exactly what happened with several new signatures. Did they land in this world like her ? It's not like she cared, they were all powerful! Clarissa smirked excited and decided to fly to the closest one...
I'd add a music theme but I haven't got a clue of what to put there. Well, short of Light giving you A Bad Time, which is obvious what that one would be.

Maybe this ? :D

Your card mentions that she is carefree as one of her character traits, so why not ? :D

EDIT: Oh well, tried to help :D.

Vegeta: *spits* "Renegade For Life..."

is checks out, put your CS in the characters tab =)

Added music theme, I will add more of her history in posts as retrospections ;). Also added what you asked me in PM at the bottom. I think I'm ready and added her to character tab with permission.

that's sounds like what I thought about desert one time... then I ate too much and my stomach was angry at me xc

*sighs while pinching bridge of nose, then lowers hand and smiles*

......................................................... okay...

@Chev and @Kejmur if you still want to join, get your CS's up to snuff and let me know when they're done, Kejmur you should know what needs to be done, @Slendy and @malmshodes the same offer goes out to you two.

*points at Chev, Kejmur, Slendy, and malmshodes with a serious expression*

As of this post, if you want to join you have two days to make your CS's, it should be more than enough time to get them done.

I will not be taking any more roleplayers into this RP and that is final, no ifs, ands, buts, or please and thank yous!

I will work on my CS a bit more later on, add some additional information and stuff. You may always point out what I need to change, to fix and stuff once I call it done. I admit it was a bit of rushed as I kind of tried to create character as fast as possible before time limit :D.
<Snipped quote by Kejmur>

Agreed, I'd rather not over-complicate people, but I'd like some structure. If anyone else has ideas, please feel free to share them!

Most simple:

1d6 dice -> 1-2 means fail, 3-6 success
1d6 (more difficult option) -> 1-3 means fail, 3-6 success

No Base Stats, just dicing.

Also (x)*k6 -> 1-2 fail, 3-5 success, 6 big sucess, numbers may be changed to make it for example more difficult

(x) here means the number of dices. 1 skill point = 1 additional dice. Let's say max is 7 (to not make it plural). If 4 times you sucess and 3 fail, you still win. Let's say 2 big successes automatically let you succed no matter what even if you fail 5 times.

No base stats as well, just skill points (10 sounds reasonable, 0 means you can't do it for crap, 1 basic).

All characters start with 1 point minimun in their skills (they choose them, let's say 30 of them even most basic ones, 0 mean you can't do it for crap). May invest max 2 points in each skill (1 point = 1 dice throw) so here it would be 30 or 15 skills. Or just stay at 1 point. Rest is additional let's say 3 dices (as long as it's not plural). So with this option you still have listed skills, but no base statistics of your character.

Also there is that:

Efficiency -> Physical Activity, Endurance, Condition, Maximum Load, Maximum Hitting Power, Physical Resistance
Acrobatics -> Agility, Speed, Reflex, Acrobatic Skills
Mind -> Intelligence, Fact Associating, Studying, Memorization, Ability To Discover Bluffing/Lying
Character -> Will Power, Ability To Convince, Assertiveness Level, Ability To Lie, Social Skills

10 points between those 4. Each statistic has 1 basic point. Max 7 points in 1 skill (this may change later on I guess if characters enter epic levels). 5 points is considered maximum potential for normal human level, 2 points is basic commoner level (in other words standard guy with no hero potential whatsoever).

If you will need to 'upgrade' players into next level, I would say 1 point to each stat after campaign (or 1 point to one of main stats) should work. I propose this way as even 1 point is alot with those numbers. After each succesful mission something like 'free win' tokken may work to award small missions as well (so you secure sucess or something similar) so they aren't pointless in short run.

Player also has access to 5 epic level skills which are his strongest point. In this case you connect skill which fits one of those 4 categories the most and add 2 additional points to potential success. In other words you have a thief with stealing, which is his epic skill. Connect stealing to acrobatics with let's say basic 5, in this case he gains additional 2 points. 1 point mean 1 dice roll (with 50% win, 50% fail chance). Or you may just add final result from added points (so if someone throws 2d6 and ends up with 8 points). In case of a draw (let's say you have skill on level 4) nothing happens (depending on situation, neutral) or there is additional dice roll.

Outside of epic skill levels if you do something more generic (like running) you just connect it to most fitting category and just use basic level of it (if you have 4, you have 4 dices).

You may mix all those options together. I think this is most simple mechanic I ever heard of. I hope this helps.

<Snipped quote by Kejmur>

Definitely! We can add things like potions, divine blessings, enchanted weapons, etc. There is also a 'puzzle' mechanic I'm implementing in the roleplay so that mages can't just always rely on their magic. I suppose this isn't a spoiler, as it'd be common knowledge. In certain areas (especially where nobility and royalty operate) there are magic glyphs tailored to counter certain level spells (level 1 spell-counter glyph, level 2 spell-counter glyph, etc.) While these can't be used together- they can pose a challenge and force players to think outside the box.

I don't know if we'll be incorporating dice rolls, and if so, how much. It's definitely something I'd like to hash out with the players though.

Personally I'm a fan of keeping things as simple as possible in forum play. Even coin flip(s) for each action should work perfectly fine. If you are good with certain skills you may let's say gain additional chances for positive result on coin flip. Let's say you are good thief - you gain additional 2 chances of coin flip. If you are brilliant - you gain additional let's say 4 chances. Simple to the point and you avoid some potential even if not intentional godmodding.

And in other words there are tools to deal with energy users, which is good.
