@Crab... see if you can find out what she's interested in. Then ask her about it. No flirting need be involved to just break the ice. :)

Bio

Long time casual role player who loves tales of adventure! I enjoy tabletop games, play-by-post, and even LARP!

Wild (and sometimes weird) west and medieval fantasy games with an 'old-school' D&D feel are my favorite.

In real life, I'm a software engineer and wanna-be farmer. I have a little garden and some chickens that like to destroy my flower beds. But I like 'em anyway and they all have names. ;) Sometimes they lay me some breakfast.

Other hobbies include dog agility and archery.

Human, elf, dwarf, gnome, half-orc, half-elf.

Got something else in mind?

Tower of the Black Pearl

The dark sea rolls, solemn and quiet beneath the bone-white moon. The old Maiden of the Sea, waxing full, seems especially close tonight, its reflection unbroken on the gently rolling waters. Dim lights of town twinkle in the distance, and when the wind is right you can still hear sea chanties being sung in the night.

"There it is!" Hollis, the human fisherman, said in awe. He had agreed to ferry the small crew of adventurers here in exchange for 1/10 haul.

The tower rises from the sea like something out of a fairy tale. And yet, it must be real, for waves crash against it just as they lap at the planks of the skiff.

Snarling gargoyles crown the four corners of the tower, peering from coral-encrusted battlements. More worrisome than the eldritch tower or the snarling gargoyles is the worn longboat moored on the far side of the tower. Squinting through the darkness, it seems the deck of the longboat is empty...
Awesome! I think we have the minimum needed to play the adventure. I'll get to work on an intro IC post and will try to leave it open enough for another player or two to jump in if we happen to get any more interest. :)

Bump.
I'm hoping for (at least) 1 more to join us before we get rolling.

@The Cook, you still interested?
hey this seems as a good Rp, count me in hopefully itll start rolling soon :D

Great! Whip up a character and we can get rolling pretty quickly, I think. :)
Are we to assume that the lore is based around the D&D universe?

I have a Jasidan Initiate (someone who worships the goddess of Death) I've been itching to play.

Lore can be somewhat loose and drawing from any of the D&D game worlds is certainly fine. So if you establish it, then cool, it becomes part of the lore. (Keep it reasonable, please!) As long as a worshipper of the goddess of Death can play well enough with others to be part of the PC party, it's fine by me. :)
Looking for a small group of adventurers to recover the fabled Black Pearl! This will be a DnD style game (but purely text based, no die rolling)

Tower of the Black Pearl OOC

Once every decade, the tides of the Empyrean Ocean recede far enough to reveal the highest eaves of a mysterious undersea tower. Long ago this was an eldritch fastness of Sezrekan the Elder, a powerful and wicked wizard, but now the tower is known simply as the final resting place of the fabled Black Pearl.

Tonight the moon nearly fills the sky, and the tides have already begun to recede. Adventurers have eight short hours to explore the tower before the dark waters return. The fabled Black Pearl will be theirs for the taking...if they can survive...

This is to be a mission-based DnD style game. While this will be purely text-based with no die rolling, characters should have a low-level feel to them. If you happen to be familiar with this particular plot, you're welcome to play, but please try to avoid spoilers!
