Infiltration - The proverbial shadow in the night, Silvi is one of the best sneaks around. There aren't many places she can't get into with a little planning and prep work.
Manipulator - As part of infiltration, Silvi is also really, really good at getting people to lend her a hand or turn a blind eye; as good as it gets without resorting to Jedi Mind Tricks.
Knife in the darkness - While not a frontline soldier, Silvi has become quite good over the years at making people stop breathing. When she closes in on an unsuspecting target, she kills quickly, quietly, efficiently, and with no trace of mercy.
Weaknesses: Silvi is a fairly heavy user of mood altering substances, and can get gloomy and depressive when she has to go without them.
History: Silvi Toth was a civilian "contractor" for the armed forces of the Kingdom of the Sephi, serving at the pleasure of His Majesty King Alaric - in return for a blanket pardon for certain offences against the throne that have since been expunged from the records. By all (admittedly spotty) accounts she proved a highly useful asset, especially once the Sephi threw in their lot with the Confederacy of Independent Systems.
The Republic despatched a clone army against the Sephi under Jedi Master Yoda. Peace talks broke down and King Alaric was murdered by Yoda, a treacherous act that threw the Kingdom into confusion and allowed the Republic to grind the Kingdom's forces under the heels of its clone troopers.
When the Republic threw off its mask and became the Empire, the Sephi were neither surprised nor impressed. The remnants of their forces went to ground and began to form resistance cells against the Empire; at the time of the incident, Toth had been attached to a unit working beside a Separatist Special Forces regiment called the Invisible Hand. With nowhere else to be and no-one to answer to in the wake of King Alaric's murder, Toth began to work with and for the Separatists. Colonel Ruun was well aware of her particular set of skills, and has ensured that she has stayed as well rewarded and supplied as he can afford. This has proven to be a sound investment over the years.

Wanjun is quietly charming, an enigmatic smile ever playing on her lips. She's graceful and knowing beyond her years, and her gently whispered words all too often hide a stinging insight.

B A C K S T O R Y
Wanjun hails from the sprawling lower districts of Karahar, the de facto capital of the Empress Dowager's faction. She doesn't talk about her childhood, but it cannot have been easy; the first mention of her name in official records is in a bill of sale - as the goods. Someone, possibly her parents, had sold her rights to a house of ill repute.

On slavery in Jianghu

While slavery is officially banned across Jianghu, there is little to prevent the trading of specific rights and duties of a person. In practice, this commonly results in a state of indentured labour hardly distinguishable from chatteldom.

Surprisingly, things turned out relatively well for the young Wanjun. Her natural grace and beauty had caught the eye of the brothel-keeper, a Madam Wu, and she was trained as a dancer and entertainer, to be groomed to become a courtesan. This gave her "first night" a certain value, to be auctioned off to a discerning client. This value would grow with her popularity, so it was in Madam Wu's interests to educate the girl and keep her in the best of condition until the big day came.
Fate, of course, turned things upside down for Madam Wu and Wanjun, just as it did for many others. The death of the emperor and the Dowager's seizure of power represented an even greater opportunity for both - the Dowager was looking for persons of talent, and did not shy from trawling the gutters in the hope of finding pearls. Her agents brought word of a young courtesan, highly intelligent and charming, a brilliant poet, and a musician of no small water. Before long Wanjun was receiving a distinguished visitor, no less a personage than the poet laureate Li Taibai, who presented her with a letter, a commission, and a small jade amulet - the last a symbol of Imperial favour. For Madam Wu, a promissory note that more than covered her entire investment in Wanjun, enough to buy off the staff of the entire brothel... and a gentle but firm warning to forget any and all claims to the girl.
After a surprisingly long and frankly terrifying audience, Wanjun now finds herself en route to the Academy in Arnmange City, herself now an agent of the Dowager Empress.

S T R E N G T H S
Wanjun is a brilliant scholar, as Jianghu culture defines it - accomplished in the "four arts" of music, chess, calligraphy, and painting, and especially learned in poetry. She is also a captivating dancer and a charming dinner companion.

F L A W S
Wanjun is a lithe, petite woman - which means that, despite impressive strength and endurance for her size, she will come off much the worst in a physical confrontation. For all her charm, she also has a temper - which manifests as a cold, calculating, vicious fury that is hard to slake. She will remember every slight, every grudge, and not think a decade too long to avenge it.

She also has the ability to drink a dockworker under the table, having developed impressive alcohol tolerance and more than a few tricks over the years.

E Q U I P M E N T
Aside from the trappings of a classical scholar (including brush, ink, inkstone, and paper, as well as zither and flute), Wanjun bears the aforementioned amulet. Showing this to an Imperial official is equivalent to their being in the presence of the Dowager Empress herself; disobeying the commands of the bearer is tantamount to treason - and Imperial officials are all too keenly aware of the varied and exquisite punishments for all the varying shades of offence.

Aurélie allowed herself the slightest moue of her lips before replacing it with a carefully crafted smile. For all her efforts, it did not quite survive to make it to her eyes.

It had already been a tiring day. First a long flight, then a mediocre meal - the Maltese cooks tried their best with what they had, of course, but alas there was no decent bread, cheese, or wine - and even before she could finish what they had, a couple of the staff had come after one of her squadron mates. Aurélie had left it to Freyja to handle the matter herself. She'd not have got this far if she couldn't. But what Aurélie could do, and did, was to make it abundantly clear to the two, after Freyja had left, that they were not - repeat not - to harass another member of Cobalt Squadron again.

She had not needed to resort to threats. In certain situations, the moral authority of a woman sure of her place is enough to shake even the resolve of an angry man. It is a skill normally acquired later in life, once the last fuck-to-give has been lost, as the Anglos might say. But if a child is born without, then she may well turn out like Aurélie....

So it was that she had got back to the barracks to hear the exchange between Mykhailo and Fuka.

"Mykhailo, thanks for bringing food. Maybe don't announce people's business at the threshold like you're our town crier?"

And then another murmur from behind the door that she couldn't quite make out. But given the circumstances, she could well guess. She pitched her voice to carry past the door, so Fuka, and presumably Freyja, would hear what she was doing.

"Ciel!" she said. "It is our little Casanova, Mykhailo, here to woo the ladies, no? It is your lucky day then, I have been looking for someone to scratch my itch in the simulators. Come with me now, or do you make it a habit to keep a lady waiting?"

She was going to need a large cognac by the end of the evening. They would all owe her for this, perhaps Mykhailo most of all. The boy was truly - how you say? - "cruising for a bruising".

Dark Space - A Mecha-Focused Space Opera RP (RP Suspended)

Personality: Ithiel is somewhat shy and reserved, preferring to observe rather than speak up, to watch and wait rather than leap into action. She's endlessly patient and loves nature, spending her vacation time hiking in the wilderness far from civilisation.
History: Ithiel hails from the Inadri colony planet of Kar'siyaervi, a wild and beautiful frontier world with fewer than one inhabitant per square kilometer. Despite its small population, Kar'siyaervi is hugely overrepresented in the Confederation's Ranger Corps, as its people come largely pre-trained for the types of tasks that Rangers are called on to perform - and tend to have the perfect mentality for the job as well. Indeed her parents were Rangers who met in the course of their duties, and it was almost a matter of course that Ithiel would enlist in the "family firm".
Key facts: Like most Inadri, Ithiel is a telepath; in her case, a fairly strong one. She's also trained in the use of the ESPER lens, a device mounted in Inadri-designed mecha that amplifies the pilot's powers to the mecha scale. In the case of telepathy it extends her range tremendously, and also allows the use of thought-controlled drones called Fangs.

Personal Gear: Spike rifle - An unusual longarm that fires projectiles shaved off a block of metallised polymer accelerated to very high velocity by a rail mechanism. Accurate and highly lethal against personnel, it's a long and finicky weapon, which limits its deployment in the field. Usually the mark of a hunter or sniper: Ithiel is very good at both.
Puuk'ko - The everyday carry knife of many Inadri, it's halfway to being a small sword. Distinguished by its single cutting edge on the inside of its dramatic curve, and the deep belly that gives it tremendous cutting power, it's oddly reminiscent of the Terran kukri. A versatile and useful tool, it can be used for cutting, slicing, chopping, hammering, and occasionally even throwing.

Speciality: Long range reconnaissance and direct action. Tracking, stalking, sniping.

Anything Else: In idle moments, Ithiel whittles little knickknacks to keep her hands busy.

Inle-Rah

Weapons: Long beam rifle - Part of the Inle-Rah's Composite Shield Weapons System, this is a powerful and long-ranged particle beam weapon.
Plasma claw - The second function of the Composite Shield Weapons System features a pair of short-range plasma emitters mounted within the shield that deploy like the claws of a lobster, snapping out rapidly and then returning to battery. This reduces the massive power requirement of the plasma emitters.
Head vulcans - The only internally mounted weaponry on the Inle-Rah, these are simple 30mm vulcan guns that fire a mix of AP and HEDP rounds. They're essentially popguns, useful mainly for antimissile work and distracting the opponent.
Equipment: ESPER lens - Fragile, expensive, finicky, and incredibly complex, the ESPER lens is the apotheosis of Inadri technology. It boosts the natural telepathic powers of its user by orders of magnitude, increasing not only range and power but often also enabling the development and use of new abilities altogether.
Fangs - The Inle-Rah mounts eight Fang thought-control drones, directed by its pilot's will as amplified by the ESPER lens. Each is equipped with a small shield generator and a variable laser that can fire in both pulse and continuous modes.
Stealth system - Reduces the sensor signature of the Inle-Rah to that of a small mammal. Particularly effective in Humanoid mode.
EW pod - Another marvel of Inadri science, this allows the Inle-Rah to operate effectively as a Wild Weasel-type electronics warfare craft. In active mode its emissions render the stealth system useless, but it becomes a potent jammer and spoofer. In passive mode it can detect and analyse enemy emissions semi-independently through the Inle-Rah's expert systems.
Other info: While the images provided show the display livery of the Inle-Rah, Ithiel's personal unit is painted in black, gray, and blue.

Shattered Steel - An Ace Combat/Project Wingman/etc inspired aircraft-based RP

Aurélie had to stifle a giggle at Fuka's shutdown of Mykhailo's... attempt at a pickup line. You couldn't fault the boy for trying to, how you say, "shoot his shot". But she did hope he was better at flying than flirting.

She wiggled Papillon's wings. It was a standard gesture when you were formation flying, within visual range, like a wave of the hand but with the aircraft itself. A trained eye might note just how crisply the maneouver was executed, a tribute both to the agility of the Rafale and the skill of its pilot.

She cleared her throat, and keyed her comms.

"Cobalt 5, Cobalt 3. Thank you for the information. We are duly warned. Cobalt 7, you are welcome to take me on in the simulator any time."
