Alongside his shield Ajax wields a colossal spear, which he uses in conjunction with his shield to pressure the opponent by using its long reach to threaten them from beyond the range of their own weapons while remaining protected.
When defence must be sacrificed for offense, Ajax will move his shield to his back and wield his spear in two hands and fight much more aggressively, using long ranged thrusts and wide sweeping swings to overwhelm those who oppose him.
