She hasn't really had many friends. Especially since she left high school her freshman year. So she thinks being on a team with a lot of kids like her would help that. She hasn't dealt with many that understood her so this would be a nice change. But as she's spent a lot of time alone and with Lady Shiva she may come off somewhat judgmental. Especially after seeing how incapable they are of handling themselves in a fight.
She likes beating people up and this is a semi-legal way to do it. She loves the challenges that it brings too. Maybe she hasn't fallen as far from the tree as she would like to think. G O A L S ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ She wants to make her dad proud, but she also wants to kill the other one.

My life had been almost normal for as long as I could remember. That was, until it wasn't. I grew up lied to about my past, but I don't blame my father for that. The one that raised me, not my unfortunate sperm donor. I was born a twin to the one and only Deathstroke. And just like another set of twins of a misguided villain we were separated at birth for our protection. My sister, Rose, stayed with our mother. I was adopted by his longtime friend and partner, Major William Wintergreen.
He raised me like I was his own daughter and for a long time I didn't know any differently, but I did know that I was different. Different from my dad and different from everyone around me. It all started when I fell from the top of the giant slide in my backyard. I broke my neck and snapped it right back into place like it was nothing. It hurt, but I healed so fast that I barely even noticed the pain. It was weird, but my dad took this as an opportunity to start my training early. He also taught me how to be careful not to get senselessly injured. He didn't want me exposing my super aggressive healing factor. I had managed to avoid exposure all throughout elementary school and middle school, but things changed once I was sent away to boarding school. I had a feeling that something was wrong. That my dad didn't want me at home at all that year, but used sending me to a better school as an excuse.
I immediately realized that a school of all girls was quite literally Hell on Earth and I wanted to go home to my personal heaven. So I did a prison break and went home and every day I'm thankful that I did. I came home to find my father bleeding out on the floor and a man in armor escaping through a window. I wanted to chase after him, but instead I checked on my dad and to my relief he was still alive. He was unconscious, but he wasn't drifting to the other side yet. I had never done a blood transfusion before but I looked up a video on YouTube and followed it closely. My dad survived with the help of my blood and while he was recovering I left to get revenge.
I tracked down the would be killer using some of my dad's resources and found him attacking a bunch of kids. First an old man and now a bunch of teenagers in Halloween costumes? This man was clearly a menace to society that needed to be put down. So I did just that. Or so I thought. I impaled the bastard and left him for dead only to find out later that he was still alive and mind controlled or possessed or whatever by my brother at the time. And the icing on the cake? He was my fricking biological father. I wanted nothing to do with him or school for that matter. I realized that I couldn't just sit around pretending that my life was normal when it wasn't from the start.
I asked my dad if I could quit school and travel the world. I wanted to put my abilities to good use, train myself, and put a stop to people like my father. He reluctantly gave in, but only if I used his connects and kept up with my studies in the meantime. He wasn't going to raise an idiot for a daughter. For the next year he trained me more intensely than he had before. He wanted to make sure that I'd be ready for anything and even brought in other instructors to help me. When my 15th birthday came around I was ready. I was gifted the most badass costume in all of existence with some badass gadgetry to match. My life as a teenage mercenary had begun.
It's a good thing that my costume completely covers my face because when I first started my mercenary work my clients weren't all too confident with having a woman handle the job. They'd be even less confident had they known she was still a child. But my work ended up speaking for itself and no one questioned the new woman on the scene again. My job took me all over the world doing different kind of missions, mostly non-lethal. Mostly. When I was sixteen one of the more lethal missions had me cross paths with the assassin Lady Shiva. Long story, short she kicked my ass and I failed my mission. My regeneration and my cute face when she unmasked me were the only reasons I'm even alive to tell the tale now.
After that day we ran into each other a few more times. Okay, let me stop. I stalked her and made sure I encountered her on missions because I wasn't going down with a losing record. Every time we met I was met with defeat, but each time she spared my life. I had no idea why the world's most notorious assassin, next to Deathstroke, was allowing me to live after each encounter we had. Especially when it became clear that I was seeking her out. But then I realized that with each encounter she was training me, not conventionally, but through real combat. While on the ground after our last encounter I yelled out for her to take me on as her official student. She told me to find her and left. What did she think I was doing all of this time?
For a month I searched for any signs of her on any missions that might pique her interest, but to no avail. She had disappeared and wasn't taking on any. She actually wanted me to find her. And so after another month of pretending I was Sherlock Holmes I finally found her. She asked me if there was a weapon that I wanted her to train me in the most. I said the sword, but I didn't want to stick to just one style of swordfighting. She told me this would be the weapon I'd kill her with one day and my training began. Initially I didn't take her words seriously, but part of me wondered if she had an actual death wish and when the time came would I really be willing to kill my own teacher? I pushed the thought out of my head and continued on with my training.
All of the training I had before now was nothing compared to this. My training lasted until my 17th birthday where my sensei decided to celebrate with one final duel. If you ask me, she just didn't know how to throw a party. I won using everything she taught me in addition to everything I learned throughout the years and in our fights. I didn't kill her and told her that I might one day, but there is still a lot that she needed to teach me. But for now I needed to find my own path, maybe as a hero. Then I kid you not she said the corniest thing that ever came out of her mouth. "Then a new hero needs a new name." She dubbed me Lady X officially giving me the title of her student. Don't tell her this, but that was the greatest moment of my life. She gifted me a katana made out of promethium to go along with the promethium blade that my dad gave me. She knew I was one of the few people in the world that would be able to wield it without dying. At least she was better at giving gifts than planning parties.
I told my dad that I wasn't returning home, but would still call him and visit whenever I could and that no matter what I'd still be his daughter. I really appreciate the freedom he gives me, but at the same time I feel bad because I miss him but I have to do this. So I moved to Bludhaven, a cesspool of villainy comparable to that of Gotham City. The perfect playground for Lady X to beat up bullies in. I quickly made a name for myself. It wasn't hard. My exploits were already kind of known in the underworld and I didn't change my costume. While there I ran into Nightwing, his ass should be chiseled in stone, a new version of the Teen Titans, my twin that I never knew I had, and some rich kid.
One day that same rich kid approached me about putting together a team of Renegades. Kids that don't quite fit that Titan mold. I told him pass, but that I'd think about it. So I thought about it and it wasn't that bad of an idea. I decided to visit my sensei again. If I was going to be on a team of heroes I'd probably need a weapon that wasn't meant to be lethal. She had the perfect weapon for me. Nunchucks. Nah, I'm kidding. A bo staff. I had taken lessons with it when I was younger, but didn't focus too much on it until now. I just loved the feel of a sword. Anyway, we trained and like last time it ended in a final fight where I somehow managed to win. I think she just let me win so I could get out of there. She gifted me a collapsible bo staff. It wasn't made out of any special properties. She said too much poison can still be poisonous. Cornier than a fortune cookie.
So here I am today lost in Seattle, talking to you, a complete stranger, about my life in the hopes that you would tell me how to get to this damn Tower.

A B I L I T I E S || Regeneration and Peak Human Abilities
Kali's metahuman ability is regeneration. Her regenerative abilities make her a very irritating opponent. She can heal from virtually any non-lethal attack. She can regrew lost limbs and organs, but it is an annoyance in the meantime. Her regeneration also means that toxins exit her system much more quickly which is why she's able to walk around rocking volatile promethium like it's nothing. Although she hasn't reached her prime yet she believes that when she does her aging will start to slow and she may never die of old age.
Her strength, speed, endurance, stamina, agility, senses, durability and reflexes are all at peak level conditioning through her consistent years of training under various instructors and regimens. She will likely stay in peak conditioning for as long as she lives as she does not age.
L I M I T A T I O N S || I'm a Teenager
In the grand scheme of things Kali is vastly inexperienced. Yeah she's fought a lot of people throughout her time abroad and in Bludhaven, but the world of heroes is still relatively new to her. She's basically been playing with humans and low level metas. She hasn't quite approached the big leagues yet.
W E A K N E S S E S || Technically a Human
As a natural metahuman Kali doesn't suffer from the insanity factor that Deathstroke has, but she still believes that she has a darker side that she's been trying to suppress since she was young.
Kali's regeneration isn't perfect. She can die. She instinctively protects her neck in battle because she's severely scared of decapitation. Because she believes that once her head is detached from her body that it's truly lights out. Similarly if her brain was completely crushed. She refuses to test these theories.
And although she has regeneration she still only is a human. She can't expect to go toe to toe with Herculian monsters in a head on fight. So she instead tries to be resourceful.

I believe that ultimately the decision to stay or go is yours. We plan to continue on with the roleplay. You have to decide for yourself if you want to as well.
<Snipped quote by Double> Yes, if a tool can not provide me with its primary function and instead forces me to seek out other tools to do the same than it is in fact useless as a tool. Shocking, I know.
If I have to go to discord or any other different site to socialize than what exactly is the purpose of me being here than? I can just go there and delete my account here.
This site has thus far been in fact useless in that nobody on it socializes at all. And I can honestly see why. Every time I say anything people just jump to shout me down. And than they are surprised I don't feel confident to engage with people. Again, shocking.
That's why I barely say anything and just retreat further into darkness. Because every time I peek out I get spat at. And since I don't have this problem in real life or any other site or social interaction I know it ain't me.
- And god knows I tried chatting up the OOC thread and I tried engaging with you all and making some sort of community out of this. The first pages are proof of that. In fact I invested a lot more time and energy into it than I ever usually have to. But I eventually just gave up because nobody else was interested.
I don't know what to tell you because I'm really not sure what you want at this point.
You can't expect everyone to sit on a Roleplaying Site socializing all day every day. Even if they aren't busier than average that's just not a realistic expectation. Which is why so many opt to use discords to accompany their roleplay. For better organization and a better way to interact with each other. If you aren't even willing to make that little of an effort to join discord how can you complain when things are dry?
And you don't get spat at every time you peek out. You only peek out to spit and complain. Without looking back through the OOC I can't remember the last thing you said here that wasn't just negative or some form of complaining. You can't expect a place or people to be welcoming or sociable when that's the energy you bring.
@PPQ Purple Look, I fundamentally agree with you, but you yourself haven't exactly made much effort to socialize either. And for the record, I don't count complaining as socializing.
I agree though from my recent experience even though I don't like it too much discord has been good at keeping roleplays alive and make it easier for others to bond even when people are busy.
The thread really has never been the best place to socialize. People have always had ways to talk off-site.
So if Chev wants to make a discord for this RP I'd be down for it.
Maize returned to the group before the two guests appeared and sulked silently behind the others. She wanted to do more than just stand around and wait for something to happen and was disappointed that no one agreed with her plan. The sound of an explosion disrupted her thoughts as it seemed that trouble found a way of happening without their intervention. From the sound of it some prisoners were escaping and making quite the spectacle of it. She was relieved to know that there were others still alive and not discarded as lifeless husks. Maybe her own crew had managed to survive and was imprisoned in one of those large spheres. She was hopeful at least.
When the two cloaked figures appeared in front of them she stayed on alert. For some reason she couldn't sense one of their energies. It was the same thing that happened when she tried to sense the Supreme Kai of Time. It was as if their ki didn't exist or on a frequency she wasn't attuned to but she could tell it was there. When the shorter figured revealed himself it seemed that this was something special to that of the Supreme Kais. Was it because they were gods?
The taller figure revealed themselves to be a Saiyan and a friend of Tabaga, possibly more. She couldn't quite tell yet. Maize was just glad that somewhere out there more Saiyans had survived. She may not have grown with her people, but once she encountered Vegeta and the others she did gain a true sense of connection and belonging. One that she hadn't felt her entire time under Frieza's tutelage.
When the others returned back to Conton City through the portal she stayed behind for a bit. She looked up in the sky and couldn't help but be angered at the sight of the escapees fighting a doomed fight. She hoped this new Supreme Kai was worth all of the trouble and sacrifices. She felt wrong just leaving the others behind to die. In that moment she decided that she would at least offer them some assistance.
She positioned herself behind the boulder Tabaga originally hid behind when they crossed through. She aimed her finger as if it were a sniper blaster. She scanned the skies to see which of the escapees needed some assistance the most. "Let's see how tough that armor is." She fired off a few Death Beams at three different troopers hitting each at least three different times before moving to the next. She wanted to give them any kind of advantage they could get in fighting against the universe destroyers and to show them that their sacrifices didn't go unnoticed or unappreciated.
Before she could get herself spotted Maize blew the smoke from her finger and made her way through the portal. She reached the other side in the middle of Ovaan explaining the nature of the ship. A gravity training machine was something that truly caught her attention, but Velona was right. They had to debrief.
I mean, you killed once or twice in the past, and maaaaybe, Julian'll look the other way. But, idea's that we put bad guys in casts, not caskets. We're Renegades. Not outlaws. Leave that to the dude in the red chrome-dome.
Bet. I'll have it to where she's killed in the past and has tried to kill her dad but of course failed. Went as X-Terminator during that era since she wanted to terminate the Terminator.
