Alias watched as Hoshi worked on securing the sail. All of their hard work and teamwork was really starting to pay off. He was still surprised that the others were helping them or entertaining the idea. Perhaps they just wanted to make sure he and Hoshi didn't end up dying before they ended up anywhere. He looked up to see what she was yelling about and saw a giant fireball hurtling from the sky. Either this was some kind of divine intervention or someone didn't want them leaving this island.
Alias always believed that your life flashing before your eyes as you're about to die was a myth. He can now say with certainty that it's the truest thing he's ever heard, because he just experienced it. It wasn't too long of a playback. Most of his life was spent here on this beach looking out for and hanging with his friends. When he saw Kitsu again his eyes began to produce tears. It was all so beautiful. It was a shame he wouldn't be able to experience these moments with his friends again. Please be strong, Hoshi. He thought to himself, accepting his death with the peaceful moments that his mind provided for him. That was until his playback revealed to him something he didn't recognize. He was a baby. He could tell by his positioning in the memory. He was in some kind of car seat, but he wasn't in a car. The control panel reminded him of a ship, but this ship clearly wasn't wading through water. He had never seen space for himself, but he could recognize the darkness and the cosmic bodies. A ship for space... He was in a spaceship!? He turned to see who was piloting and only saw a cloaked figure.
His view shifted once again. He was in the same cloaked figure's arms. They were running from a castle? He didn't recognize it, but it felt so familiar. For some reason the sight brought him great melancholy. He turned his head when he felt the figure carrying him stop moving. There were dark shadowy figures in front of them, blocking their path. The figure raised their hand and released a small force of energy to send them back before heading down a different path.
Alias's trip down memory lane ended when Hoshi yelled for everyone to get down. Alias crashed to the floor and stayed there until he was sure that he wasn't dead. This was confirmed once he heard Hoshi's voice again asking everyone if they were alright. He stood up thankful that he was alive and that there were no screams of death or pain. He got up and joined Hoshi and Morgan as they went to inspect the large crashing device. When Morgan suggested that it might be a dragon he shook his head. "I don't think we have dragons. Certainly not metal ones or whatever this is." He recalled his memory dive. "I think it's a ship that travels through space. I think... I think I came here in one." He frowned at the thought. He was starting to realize how foolish his idea of traveling between worlds on a raft was when this spaceship just came to their world in a ball of fire. Their raft certainly didn't protect against that. But he refused to share his thoughts on the matter. He still believed Tsu was out there. He had to be.
When Morgan passed out Alias made his way to her side. He recalled how she first came to the island and how being bombarded with questions caused her to react in a similar way, but not to the point of passing out. So much was happening he could barely keep his head straight. Then a quick and slightly questionable idea came to him. "Hold on, Morgan. I'll be back." He ran back to the beach while everyone was checking on the newcomer. He found what he was looking for. A decent sized conch shell. He turned towards the water, keeping the thought of it in his mind as he unzipped his pants. A moment later the shell was full.
Alias headed back to the group with shell in hand. He put the conch shell in the hand he used to aim with earlier and lifted up Morgan's head to place the shell under her nose to wake her up. He had to thank his father for his healthy diet if this worked.
