"I look forward to it." Rose said to Cass with a wink. She was thankful they were back inside the pub. She needed a shower badly, but she'd let Cass go first. She looked around. The two guys (other than Jack who could apparently summon fire) weren't in the room, which was a little reliving since she didn't like Colby. The kid was a danger to others.

"Well mom, this is... uh everyone, or nearly everyone." There were enough in their group she didn't feel like introducing them all. "How did team distraction go?" She asked. Sort of hoping that Colby had gotten killed or something. The group did seem upset about something and Roselia had blood, though no wound, on herself. It was a lot to take in and she didn't know what she missed, but what mattered was her mom was here and they could figure out their next step now. "What's the plan now Merlin?" She figured Megan would have to fight for her rightful place on the throne or something.

Colby went from confused to flustered real quick. He had just wanted to get away from the others. He didn't want to be in the same room as them anymore. Heck, he'd appreciate it if he could be on a different continent. Who did they all think they were? But here was Maddie being cute. And very drunk.

Colby wasn't a sleaze though. He wouldn't take advantage of Maddie. "I really did want to come up here to check on the cats, and get away from that girl." He said. Missing the flirt entirely. He wanted to kiss Maddie, but he wouldn't do that right now, that was a conversation for later.

He stepped into the room, feeling like he was half carrying Maddie. And helped him onto his bed. Before checking on the cats. Both were curled up and his black kitty Jack only yawned at him. Apparently annoyed at being bothered. He was going to have to call his cat something else if they stayed with the main group since there was a Jack among them and he didn't want to cause confusion.

Andy didn't know what a Morlock was. It just made her think of WoW, but those were Murlocs. Did Veil mean the creatures from 'The Time Machine'? Andy shivered a bit, sliding off of Stareyes. "Thanks anyway I guess." She shrugged. Now all she could imagine as she climbed down into the sewer was the gaunt faces of the Morlocks from the 2002 version of the movie. Those were way scarier than the 1960 version. She remembered the pit of water full of bones and was relieved that it was rats they had to contend with instead of cannibals. She had never read the book so she didn't know how different the creatures were from the book, but as a B movie aficionado, she loved the movie (especially the 1960 version which was significantly less scary). That movie had the classic problem a lot of movies from that time did and there was just so much talking, but the special effects were so bad it was hilarious.

At least they had something resembling light powers with whatever it was that Havoc did. And Stareyes had her laser eyes. They probably would do okay against Morlocks in that case. She crinkled her nose. It smelled gross and she was surrounded by rats. Andy was tempted to let a bit of electricity go off. It would kill some of the rats and probably piss off the rest, oh and of course water was conductive. So with the others getting into the sewer, she might hurt them so she didn't want to do that.

Ed was using the time in space where he had no serious obligations reading. He had brought along a small stack of books. He didn't like that they had to be physical books but it was really hard to find magical texts on kindle. Ed did have an anatomy book on a kindle though and was using that to work on learning how the human body worked. He had some idea mostly from his sister's learning of it when she was training, but he hadn't bothered to learn it that much. He wasn't the greatest healer in ten generations.

It was a little hard to read with Pietro running around like a child. Ed was surprised he hadn't been asking 'are we there yet?' with how impatient he was being. Ed did his best to not be annoyed, but it wasn't easy. Thankfully, Guin seemed to have distracted him. He obviously didn't know what they were saying to each other since they were talking telepathically, but at least she had him stop running around. Ed went back to his reading.

Andy smiled at Arthur. Her heart seemed to hurt, her whole chest felt compressed for a moment. She took a deep breath. Andy knew she would always make decisions around Arthur. How best she could protect him, how best to take care of him and keep him safe and happy. Andy didn't know the words or how to express them, but she would tear apart the universe to protect Arthur.

"I want to go back to the ship and see if Gryf will let me ride him into battle." She smiled. "Maybe he'll take both of us. If not you sh-..can stay on the ship."

When Madalyne returned Andy nodded. "Well she wanted me to look into your family tree. I have a theory, but I don't know if I can prove it unless your records are magically updated or something. I don't know my parent's names. I was abandoned at two." She confessed. Her birth name was even unknown to her. But there was a reason Hecate had told her to look at the Crane family records. And knowing that Madalyne was a child of her...well that made Andy a little uncomfortable. Would Arthur still like her if she was somehow related to the goddess that had taken away one of his oldest friends?

"We should get going though to join the battle. I don't want them waiting for us for too long." Andy said. She was glad Madylne had already said they'd look at the records after the fight.

The voices rode in on a wave of madness. Em leaned into Marco's touch. It grounded her. Reassured her. But the sirens were going off. The battle had found the Romans. What the fifth had done to the sewers would help. However, this hole wouldn't. There was too much of a risk with it. She had to make a choice. Stay with Waverly and Demi or join the battle. Demi left too. Turning into a dragon and joining the battle above. Now she had to stay. Someone had to be there in case monsters tried to come up through the Labyrinth. And she couldn't leave Waverly unprotected.

Em turned and grabbed Marco's hand real quick and kissed him. "Go battle my love. I will stay here and hold the madness at bay."

With that taken care of Emily did the only thing she could do. She pushed back at the madness. She felt it recede away from her. The madness no longer clawed at her. She then threw a seed through the hole in the wall and eased it into the growing. Smiling, happy that it would work through the magic of the Labyrinth. "I'm here for you Waves." Now if anything else came at Waverly she could help fight it with the plant, and she'd made herself sane again.

Only Alannah and Lauryn joined Niah on the ship. All the other Greeks went to the Field of Mars. That seemed very Greek. There was a plan to have at least some of them fight from the air, but here they were running off. She sighed but listened closely to Alannah as she explained the layout of the ship.

"Certainly. I'd love to learn how to fly her." All ships were female, even flying ones. A thought crossed her mind, her mother was a river of course she hated being in the air. It suddenly explained her issues. Yeah, she wasn't afraid she just didn't like it and now she knew why. She felt a little dumb for not realizing it sooner.

"How good are the little ones at fighting? They are so young." She asked, trying to be conversational, but also her ever practical self.

The fight devolved into chaos. Cass was bleeding from her face. In a sewer...that had to be unhygienic. They'd have to get that cleaned and taken care of right away to keep it from going septic. "I like it, but we got to make sure it doesn't get infected."

She was about to go back to trying to punch guards, having given up on her bow in such tight quarters. Thanking her lucky stars she had some skill in melee and distance. Before she could though Jack summoned fire and lobbed it at a guard killing them.

Rose covered her face when Hansel warned them. She felt her mother grab her hand and let herself get pulled through the sewers. She was still a little stunned that Jack had made a fireball. Who was his parent? She tried to remember if he had said. She should have written it down. Maybe they could have figured out what to expect from each person if they knew. Merlin would. They could ask him again. He had dodged the question before. Rose considered what she knew about her mother and figured she'd was normal, well as normal as one could get when they were a fairytale.

Colby was done. He just wanted to leave and have nothing to do with any of them ever again. Except for Maddie. Who was touching him. A month ago he would have been annoyed at the touch. Heck up till forty-eight hours ago he would have been annoyed. It was weird how the day had started so normally. Everything had gone sideways.

He wanted to grumble and make a face and tell Maddie to stop. But the warmth of his hand on his arm was nice so he didn't pull away. It was like a cat who decided that since it was being touched anyway they might as well allow it. "Uh, I had a weight lifting class at school." He admitted, a small blush warming his cheeks, which he covered up by getting a drink as well.

He decided that unless he had to he wasn't going to interact with Rosalia. There was no reason to at the moment so he ignored her. "Let's get the cats." He told Maddie and started to make his way back to their room where Jack and Carroll were.

Niah nodded at Amelia's assessment. She guessed that Oliver messed up the date. Everything else he said sounded right. And he corrected that quickly enough. "Give me your jacket or something." She said, Oliver held out his arm and he touched the fabric. A part of her was thankful it only worked on things and not people, but if it worked on people it would make this a whole lot easier. At first, all she seemed to get was fuzzy memories of the Hospital. It was unsettling to see that from his perspective. She let go and tried again, this time the flashes while small and fuzzy stretched back far enough she felt certain Oliver wasn't a Skrull. [color=0080ff]"I don't think he is one. Amelia, next?"[/]

Amelia held out her own bit of clothing and Niah touched it. There was a lot of screaming, most of it seemed to be in joy. She flinched a bit at it though. "You scream a lot." She said and readjusted her touch, this time she got a swath of flashes and nodded. "Yeah, that's way too complex for a summoned shirt, and I don't sense anyone stealing the shirt off your real body and ditching you or something like that. I'd say Amelia isn't Skrull." That left Sparky and Raynor. She felt like Raynor was probably fine this time...but she'd check anyway.

Matt got a funny image of Niah telling the President to give her some of his clothing and snorted. He leaned over, "Wait till Niah asks Jakobsen for a bit of his clothing." He didn't know that Niah already knew Jakobsen, if he did the image might be even funnier.

"So who is next?" Matt asked. If they could clear this part of the group, then get in the ship and clear the rest of the Secret Warrior team it would be a good start. Of course, there was also not just Jakobsen on the ship. The others would have to be cleared too. He knew Hawkeye wouldn't take off until he felt confident that no one was a Skrull.

There was also the Doctor that Oliver and Niah mentioned. Would they be joining them? What had Oliver and Niah learned that was so important that they had to wait until after everyone was cleared?

Lance Banner

Ed Penior

Runa Baldurdattir

Ed was going around the Mansion collecting anyone's hair that was willing to give him a few strands. He had gotten Bethany's with no issue. She had been thankful for him saving her life during the fight on Liberty Island and with the explanation that it made it possible to heal her from a distance without getting some of her blood that was likely leaking from her, she was fine with it. He expected a few people would think he was weird or have issues with it. Runa was one of the people he expected issue. She knew how magic worked, knew that he could easily turn healing to damage if he decided. Not that he would. He couldn't. His moral code wouldn't allow it. First, he had to find her though.

Runa was sitting underneath a tree outside with Lance. She had set her shoes on the blanket they had brought out with them, but she was curling her feet into the grass. She had carefully plucked a dandelion and turned to Lance with a mischievous smile, before blowing gently, sending the bits of white fluff directly into his face.

"Wow Runa really?" he said to her with a bit of a laugh, giving her a smile. A few of the bits of fluff were stuck in his hair and he used his hand to brush them out.

Ed heard Lance's laugh drifting from outside so he made his way through the porch. He saw Runa and Lance sitting under a tree. He smiled. They were cute together. He didn't really know their story, but when Ed met Runa it had been clear that Lance and she already had a history. He wondered what it was, but would ask some other time. For now he had a specific question. It was convenient that both of them were together because he did need a bit of hair from both of them. "Hello Runa, Lance." He said with a smile as he came within earshot. "I have an odd question."

Runa glanced up at Edus, tilting her head ever so slightly. She felt it would be rude to be seated while he was standing, so she got up to her feet so they could converse properly. She didn't know very much about him - truthfully, she didn't know very much about any member of the X-Men (a name which confused her to no end, as the team seemed to be mostly women). All she knew was that he was magically inclined, something that apparently was becoming more common on Midgard these days. "How can we be of service to you, master wizard?"

"Hey there Ed," Lance said to him with a slight wave when he walked over and shrugged slightly, "What is it? And honestly, I've heard some strange requests, so it probably won't be considered too weird..."

"I realized during the fight on Liberty Island that having the ability the heal the group from a distance is good for the team. The easy way for me to do that is to have a few strands of your hair, root and all. I understand if you're against it, but if I can't get to you to heal you in time with the blood that might be escaping your body..." He trailed off not wanting to think about what would happen if he failed to heal someone during a fight. They needed each other to survive fights.

Runa pursed her lips slightly, thinking it over. Her grandmother was a witch and had taught her a great deal of her magic - she knew the risks of giving her hair to someone she did not know very well. Yet she knew that he was sincere and he wasn't lying about his motivations. "Very well. I'll require an exchange. A hair for a hair."

"Oh, uh, okay... Though I typically don't end up needing it, guess might as well prepare for the odds of running into something that might succeed in killing me, I'm fine with that," he said with a shrug, before pulling out a few hairs, not really wincing or anything at all as he held them out to him.

Ed nodded, it was a reasonable counter request. It gave her leverage over him just as much as him having her hair. Not that he would ever use it in an untoward fashion. That wasn't his style and would be against his moral code. He pulled a few vials from his pocket, offering one to Lance to place his pulled hair strands into. Then one to Runa. He proceeded to pull his own hair, just a few strands but enough that if someone wanted to cast sympathy magic on him they could. Then gave Runa the vial he put his hair into. "Thank you. I have no ill intention. I will only use this to heal you. Or if you go missing and wish to be found I can cast a tracking spell on you. Please leave me a note if you don't want to be found. I will assume no note means you've been kidnapped and require assistance."

She smiled ever so slightly - he reminded her a bit of her older brother, Forseti. "I promise you the same, master wizard," Runa said sagely, accepting the vial he had given her of his hair. She pulled a few strands of her hair, careful to make sure she got the roots, and she placed them delicately into the vial. Although, this was all giving her a bit of an idea. She didn't typical think about magic that required hairs and whatnot, as she preferred to rune cast - and lately, most of her magical uses were combative. "Perhaps we ought to go see if we can locate some of your father's hairs, my light," she told Lance.

Lance simply took the vial from Ed, put a few of his hairs in it, and handed it back to him. He turned to look at Runa when she made the comment about his dad. "...I don't know if that would really work, or if we'd be able to find anything like that in order to try and track him that way..."

"Happy to hear that." Ed smiled at Runa's promise to not use his hair maliciously. If you're able to find a hair of his I would be happy to help." Ed searched his memory if he had known that Lance's dad had been missing. There seemed to be quite a bit he didn't know about the people in the mansion.

Runa nodded morosely. She didn't like how often Lance had to search for missing loved ones - she blushed slightly, realizing she was including herself in that category, when she didn't know if Lance loved her. He was certainly fond of her, she was sure of that, but love? That was such a serious topic. She was scarcely 688 years old - she hadn't yet reached her eighth century of existence.

"...Who honestly knows at this point," he commented, looking at the ground for a moment, he knew that at least Guin knew the full story about his dad being missing, kind of hard not to know since her father was with the Avengers anyway. "You hear about that Skrull Invasion a little while back? Immediately after that he just... Disappeared, and no one knows where he went..." he explained to Ed, not sure what else to say about it.

"Hmm, that is curious." He thought about how he had read once that a far back grand-father had used the blood of a child to locate the parent, but it was a complicated spell and he didn't think he could perform it alone. It would be best to have some of Lance's father's hair or better yet some fresh blood. The fresher the better. However, considering how long ago it had been since Dr. Banner's disappearance there was unlikely to be fresh blood that Ed could use. "Yes. I would love to help. I can use blood or hair. Well technically I can even use nail clippings but never was fond of that. I should be able to track him anywhere. Though the compass I use only points in a direct line." Ed didn't even consider that Dr. Banner might not be on the planet.

Runa nodded, considering what Edus had to offer. The news that the compass could only function in one direction was a bit of a disappointment. Runa was accustomed to systems where spatial coordinates went beyond the two dimensional. She pulled her staff from her belt and Gandr expanded, until the staff was nearly as long as her. "I can see about Asgardian tracking spells, in order to give us more information - perhaps combined, we can receive information in a more three dimensional manner."

"Not entirely sure what we would really have, I mean there might be blood or whatever back at Stark Tower that's his, but I seriously doubt we'd really be able to get much... Never really thought about that sort of thing... Then again this might just be a waste of time or whatever... Might not ever be able to find him..."

Ed nodded at Runa's idea. "That's a good idea, Runa. It doesn't take much blood for the tracking spell. Though if he is really far away I might need more to recast it occasionally. It isn't a waste of time. This is a good chance for you to find him." Ed also didn't want to point out that spell wouldn't work if Dr. Banner was dead.

"Shall we go look for something then, my light?" Runa asked Lance. "We should have plenty of time to search before my parents will expect me for supper."

"Sure, guess we can go, head for Stark Tower see if there is anything there... Only place where there might even be something like that... Let's get going then if you don't mind..." he said, and since he had still been sitting on the ground during the conversation, he got up off of the ground.

"Would you like assistance?" He offered genuinely, but willing to not if Lance said no. It didn't bother Ed either way. He had other hair to collect around the mansion from the other X-men.

"I would not protest," Runa said, smiling ever so slightly. She didn't mind the idea of a chaperone. She knew that some on Asgard would have found it incredibly necessary to have one at all times, but her parents were rather lax, not caring if she spent time alone on Midgard with a mortal boy as long as she was home by curfew - which tended to be rather changeable and lax itself.

"I'm fine with it," Lance said with a slight smile, "Any help I can get would be useful... The Avengers have been keeping an eye out but they haven't found anything still..." With those words, Runa was able to teleport them to Stark Tower. Lance instantly headed towards the lab area, and once he entered the area started going through things. Eventually, he found something that might be helpful as he pulled out what looked like a vial of blood of some sort. "Tony tends to have blood from all of the Avengers, but considering how often my dad tended to run tests on his own blood, figured there would be some here anyway... Though it probably isn't as fresh or whatever that you were wanting for the spell Ed."

"I've used dry blood before. It is just ideal to be fresh. And if it is still liquid that's even better. I can't say I've used old liquid blood before. That's why I asked for hair from. Everyone just makes for the cleanest spell." He explained. He hadn't talked to many people outside his family about their magic before. "Lead the way. I've only been here the once."

"I can reduce the age of the blood, worry not, Master Wizard," Runa assured Edus. It would be as simple as stating a lie and then having one of her companions reject the claim. She didn't imagine it would interfere with the process of Edus' magic, but she was planning on ideally splitting the portions into two so that way one of them wouldn't be tampered with just in case.

"Well, let's hope it works," Lance responded, handing the vial of blood over. "Just be careful, it technically is radioactive I'm pretty sure..."

Ed nodded. He was a bit nervous about the radioactivity. But it should be mild enough that it wouldn't hurt him. As long as he didn't get exposed for too long. He poured a couple of drops onto a compass and said a few words. An orange glow emanated from his hands the compass. He let it lay flat and stared at it confused, and a bit of worry, as the compass spun uncontrollably before flipping on its edge and the red north pin of the compass pointed straight up into the sky. "Oh...I believe you haven't found your father because he is in space."

"Do you have anything more specific than that?" Runa asked. Space was a very large place - it wasn't much of a location. There were millions if not billions of planets, teeming with life, and they had only eliminated one planet in particular so far (Midgard). "Such as what territory? Perhaps the Shi'ar, Kree, Skrull, or Cotati Empires? Or the Nova Corps?"

"Guin and I could build something that might be able to help track him... But honestly, that does explain a lot, no one has even heard from him, and how he got there I don't know... Remember Runa, Ed already said that he might not get anything too specific... But at least that's a place to start... How do you two feel about going to space?"

Andy's jaw dropped when Glimpse drove her fist at super speed into Tarot's head. They were doomed. SHIELD watched. There was nothing to say, Havok said enough. Sapphire protected them and then Veil made them invisible again. A power Andy would have loved to have had while she lived on the road. Maybe there would be more people alive who weren't because of her. She didn't blame Glimpse for killing, sometimes it happened. She just was surprised, surprised she had done it in front of SHIELD especially.

She followed the group until they couldn't travel anymore. And whispered when Stareyes said she could carry her on her back and maybe two more. "If you think you can. I'm pretty small." When Stareyes affirmed Andy climbed onto her back. Putting her right arm over her shoulder and her left under her arm. It would keep Andy from strangling her if something went wrong. Andy was a bit nervous about this. She had never flown before.

Ed smirked listening to the bickering of Pietro and Wanda. It was reassuring in a strange sort of way. But it also hurt. The pair of them were twins just like he and his own sister. He hoped for their sake neither outlived the other. The suffering they would feel would be insurmountable. He looked over the group. The physical wounds healed.

He was concerned about the mental anguish some of them would experience. Especially Klara and Runa. The pair of them had been controlled. The type of magic used on them was forbidden among his family. The story of a cousin who had used mind magic and controlled people to do his bidding had been the childhood boogie man for his family. The terrible parts of the tale emphasized until none of the children would dare do mind magic. The strict laws in his family were to keep them in check. Before Thanos destroyed Cardiff with most of his family there was a tribunal and a few of the family had even been executed over the years for breaking the family laws. Now they were unenforcible. There were only a handful of men left in the family. He drew a slow breath. Bringing himself back to Liberty Island. He didn't want to think of his family's tragedy.

Ed forced a smile nodding at the thanks for the healing. It was the least he could do.

Rose hoped they wouldn't be discovered, but unfortunately, they were. She loosed her arrow and it stuck into one of the guard's shoulder. She was okay with that. She didn't actually want to hurt any of the guards. Chaos erupted though as the group started fighting the guards. She was capable of close-quarter fighting, she just preferred her bow.

Rose knocked a second arrow and shot at a guard's leg, she was trying to keep her attacks as non-lethal as possible. Yeah they were enemies they were fighting but she didn't want murder on her conscience. Her arrow missed and a guard tackled her to the ground. Red kicked the guy. Rose tried to punch him but failed...three times. She was looking like a fool and she hated that. Her mom wasn't going to have any faith in her being able to take care of herself now.

"You are certifiably insane!" Colby said, but kept surprisingly still while Rosalia had the knife out and near his hand. He wasn't about to pull and make her slip. Thankfully, Merlin seemed to see some reason. And made the handcuffs disappear. The dog went for Colby, grabbing his leg and biting down hard. It hurt like hell. Colby yelped and then out of reflex hissed.

He didn't like dogs, and this wasn't helping the situation any. He wanted to push the dog off of him, but he couldn't bear to hurt an animal even if it was actively hurting him. "Get your dang dog." He told Rosalia. Hissing again hoping that would get the dog to let go. The others needed to get here so they could leave this damn city.
