Ed nodded at Klara's explanation. He still wasn't quite certain what the Infinity Stones were, but he knew they were real bad news now. He wondered if his family had any information on them. Their records went back ages so they might. It just wasn't anything he had ever come across. He'd have to look if he ever went home. He winced a bit at the thought. Home was empty. The family was dead, there was little need for him to return.

He looked down as his clothing changed, and checked his pockets for his belongings. He had more questions, but they could be answered later. He settled into his seat thinking. Primarily he wondered what the Stones could do, and how someone would use them to destroy large swaths of space. What was the motivation?

Dalisy winced as she could just hear Lara say the oath was bound. Her heart ached and she wanted to punch something already. Lara didn't know why Dalisy hated her, but that right there was the key reason. It wasn't even the actual Oathbinding that was an issue. It was the fact that her sister could do the same thing. Dalisy had heard her sister a few times say the exact same thing.

She leaned into Anora's arm and gave her a smile. Trying to be as genuine as possible. "Yeah, let's go join them." She stood up and gathered her plate and drink and moved with Anora and Klara over to the others. She couldn't quite keep her smile plastered on. "Uh, hi." She said plopping down into an empty seat. Dalisy didn't think she had to explain herself or that she had promised to be nice, especially since Lara had apparently heard the damn promise and had bound it.

Niah honestly hadn't been prepared for what happened when the door opened and the lights switched on. She raised an eyebrow but had been far enough back in the group that she didn't have a direct line for a shot. However, she heard Maria talking. Maria and she had been friends before joining phase three. This was her jogging buddy. Not that she was going to be jogging again anytime soon. She frowned.

"Let me through." She said, and wheeled past Matt and Cass into the room. She was putting a lot of trust into those that she knew were on their side with weapons drawn. And a lot more hope that somehow Maria had returned from wherever the Skrulls had taken her. Maybe that crashed ship a week ago had been her. God, please let it be so. She removed her glove, which had a dual purpose now, and held out her hand. Maria copied the movement, this gave her a spring of hope that this was the Maria she knew.

Their hands touched and she braced herself for what was going to happen. Part of her didn't like that it was Maria because of what Maria's power set was, but in honesty, this would be ideal. If it was Maria and not a Skrull she could pick up the Psychometry and compliment the checking of groups. Anyone she trusted Niah could clear and vice versa.

Matt liked to think he reacted quickly drawing his weapon and pointing it at one of the random 'janitorial staff' that had been sitting in the dark and had weapons. One of them removed something and revealed themselves to look like Maria. He let his weapon drop just a little bit so it wouldn't be a kill shot if he did shoot one of them.

Niah rolled into the room past him and he watched as she reached out an ungloved hand to Maria. Maria seemed to get what Niah wanted to do and held her own ungloved hand out. He realized just as the thought that both of them wore gloves for a reason crossed his mind what Niah was trying to do. She could confirm Maria's status as non-Skrull and give Maria her power so Maria could check the group. She'd have no reason to trust that Goose was a Skrull detector. It was actually a brilliant move.

Andy chewed on her lip thinking. "If you can only be killed by silver..." She trailed off not certain how she was going to ask the question. "What happened in the vision that hurt you then?" She had heard the description, but she wasn't certain how it all fit together.

Arthur was thankfully reassuring. He was determined and it made her feel better. She kept leaning against Arthur, partially for emotional support after all the big news she had gotten over the last few minutes, and partially for physical. His physical presence just made her feel better, and more grounded.

Niah couldn't help but quirk a smile when Nancy gave her deadpan order to Joanie. She wasn't certain if Nancy had ever seen Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, it was an old enough movie that it was possible, but the way she spoke reminded her of Willy Wonka she couldn't help but smile.

When Joanie lit Leandra's hair on fire she couldn't help but gasp. Leandra was awful, but that seemed extreme. At least that's what she thought until she saw what Leandra had taken. "No you can't." Niah answered mostly automatically to Nancy's question. It was probably rhetorical but they couldn't punish people without some sort of oversight. If Niah could get away with it she would have the motion pass right away.

"We can however call a quick meeting and make sure she's found." It would be ideal if they could dishonorably discharge her.

"I slept okay." A part of her had wished she had been able to sleep in the forest. But it wasn't safe. She didn't know how badly the group of guards disappearing would look for them. Did someone know where they had gone? Were they expecting a report back if they did or didn't find something? There were a lot of unknowns. Getting moving would be good for the group.

"Obviously, I'll travel with Red and whatever group she's going with." Merlin hadn't said which group was going to be headed by who. She hoped the Moors would be where they went. She wanted to be there for Cass in finding her parents. She wanted to help Sierra too, but there was no way to do both.

Colby's response to Maddie had been a smile and a kiss. He was thankful they were alone for a moment longer. But the smell of food and the grumble in his belly. "We should get food." He said, standing and heading downstairs. He got there just in time to hear Merlin tell them the groups.

He loaded his plate with food and sat down waiting for whatever the plan would be now. His shoulder untensed a bit when Merlin told them they'd be breaking into smaller groups and going to different locations. The best part Rosalia wasn't going to the same area as him. He took a sip of his drink but quirked a smile at Maddie.

Ed Penior

Location: Klara's ship

Ed had no idea what the group was talking about. First, there was the implication that the multi-verse theory was real. He hadn't ever really thought about it before. He knew that it was a theory, but that was basically as much as he knew. Second, there was something called an infinity stone. He really didn't know what that was. But Guin who had been having a moment with Pietro broke off from that to interject. He resisted jumping.

"Could I get the spark notes on...uh...all of that?" Ed said, raising his hand slightly. He was really confused. "And while I agree with Mary and Annie we should investigate the location we were in, I also agree with Bethany and do not desire to return to space jail." It had been a mixed bag of escaping. Easier than expected, but he had taken some wounds he didn't care to repeat.

Tension released from Andy's shoulders when Zari moved. Her reassurance made more tension release. When she glanced at the notebook and saw she had no clue what the paper said she gave up. Maybe she'd see if Zari would teach her the language some other time. All Andy knew was English and Spanish. Truthfully her Spanish wasn't that good either. She hadn't used it much since leaving California. Except with one of the patrons of the Drummond's gym.

Since Zari had snapped out of whatever fugue state she had gone into there was no reason to respond to any of the others. She wanted to melt back into the background and be ignored again. Though, she was pretty hungry. She hadn't eaten in literally months technically. "Let's grab a room and then some food." She said quietly to Zari once it seemed she was finished writing. She knew she could room with Zari since they had once already.

Niah gave a wry smile then looked over at Goose, "Are you hungry? Wanna eat some Skrull corpses? The Oval Office window is broken you can go in that way. I doubt any Secret Service Agent will look at you twice wandering through the White House gardens." She told the cat. She spoke to Goose as if he was human, having long gotten over his appearance, or additional tentacles.

She turned her attention back to the computers and news broadcasts. It wasn't that Niah had forgotten that the Avengers were Skrulls in disguise, it had been that part of her was so used to just trusting them that even with that knowledge she hadn't been worried. She frowned now though. They had had several of the Skrulls that had been disguised as Avengers. Were they not in containment? Had more Skrulls taken their place? How many of the damned aliens were there on Earth? Was this already a lost cause?

Matt winced as the Vice President fainted. It was a reasonable response. He sort of wished he had thought of doing it first, but it was too late for that. He was much too deep in whatever strange act of saving the world they were wrapped up in.

At the moment no actual Secret Service Agents had shown up and were trying to figure out what was going on. Their training was good enough that the radioing that he and Cass had done had apparently convinced them that everything inside the Oval Office was fine. That gave them a bit of time.

"The good news is it is possible that the 'attempt on the President's life' might give him an excuse to not have to make a statement." Matt said. He didn't know if it would be a good idea to have the real Alex give a statement on something and possibly interact with the Skrull Avengers right now.

Dalisy frowned thinking. If Klara didn't know maybe Anora knew but she doubted it. She sighed, but when Anora walked up to them she smiled at her friend. The offer was tempting, she glanced over and saw Lara was part of the group Anora was collecting. She'd have to keep herself in check. This wasn't like normal times when if she got frustrated she could just start a fight. Could she handle being around Lara who was so much like her sister it hurt?

It would be best to be with a group. Dalisy had made enough enemies over the years that someone might want to take her out while they had the chance. She wasn't the only one like that. There was no way in the hundreds of years that Anora and Klara had been at the Hotel that they too hadn't made enemies. "I haven't made many friends in my time here. I have made many enemies. It would be best for all of us to know those we surround ourselves in this time have no ill intent toward us. Therefore, I promise I shall be on my best behavior for the sake of the group." A part of her wondered if her sister's mother heard her promise and bound her to it. Was that possible? She wasn't Roman or even Greek. But she shared all her human self with her sister. It didn't matter though she did mean it. She would do her best not to antagonize the people she was trusting to have her back.

Andy thought about what she knew of werewolves. The only thing she really knew was more or less what Arthur had just said. She did remember one night in a foster home she had watched 'An American Werewolf in London' with one of the foster siblings. She frowned. "Are werewolves real then?" She asked quietly.

Andy wanted to know what the rules were for the werewolves really were then. If it was anything like the movie that was terrifying. She hadn't been able to finish the movie running out of the room after the character's had been attacked. Her foster siblings had called her a chicken and she had moved out of that place not long after that. She tried to keep any sort of fear out of her eyes at the idea. If Aunt Mads was a werewolf they couldn't be that bad, right?

"No one gets a happy ending in real life." Niah said sagely. "However, we can keep it as happy as we can for as long as we can." She added with a smile. Niah knew she'd die in battle. If she was lucky she'd live long enough to serve her time. After that maybe she'd be able to have something resembling a decent life. But the life of a Demi-god, even a Roman one, was always dangerous.

She frowned as she saw Leandra. "Great." She shook her head. "We'll have to check and see what she went through." She hoped it wasn't any of the things they used for Mads. A horrible thought of her weakening the silver chains or something equally awful crossed her mind. A part of her wanted to confront her and yell at her, the rest of her just wanted to ignore her. But there was no good in that. Ignoring Leandra completely meant keeping your back open for attack.
