Ed nodded at Thalia. He didn't know her very well as she was new, but she seemed fine. He wasn't here to make friends though. He almost rolled his eyes at Alex saying they had lost people. No shit they had. The only reason he was even working with Alex's group was because he wasn't a complete idiot, without his sister he had no hope of doing anything to stop Magneto.

"Sure why not." He picked up a watch and earpiece. He thought it was stupid to send a human into New York, if anything happened to knock off her mask she'd be dead. But she thought she was hot shit because she killed the devil, so it was her prerogative to go into the death zone if she wanted. Whatever that meant. "Anything resembling an extraction plan?" He asked, partially responding to Thalia, and finding out how much of this was a suicide mission. In a way, he didn't care. If he died then he died. Returning home would have the same effect. He put the earbud into his left ear.

Andy smiled at Kiera as she joined them. She liked Kiera. She was also the last left from Arthur's school days. So she knew how important Kiera was to Arthur. "Hi Kiera. I'm alright." Saying that was a whole lot easier than the truth. There was so much to the actual truth she didn't know where to begin. Kiera would learn soon enough that Arthur and Andy were going to be split up soon. Andy had no words to explain how much she hated that too.

"Just worried." She added. That was the best that she could do. She couldn't even start to explain what was going on with her Aunt. She knew Mads wouldn't want it spread around that she was a werewolf. But if pressed she could say that there had been a vision that Mads would die. She tightened her grip on Arthur's hand as she felt her eyes start to burn a little. She didn't want to cry. Not here not now. She wanted to cry when she was alone.

Niah weighed the options taking her time to vote. She wasn't always the last to vote, but this time she was fine being the last. The idea of stripping Leandra of her rank and booting her back to Probatio made the most sense. She couldn't think of a way to keep Leandra under their watch other than that. Since she couldn't she nodded and raised her hand. The vote was now six to four, the majority won.

"I suggest she be given two legionnaires as escorts." She would have added that it would be ideal if they weren't from the same cohort as Leandra but that was unlikely to happen or work out. "Maybe hopefuls for Centurions as loyalty is vital in this operation." Two would be harder to manipulate than one. Even better if they could rotate out the escorts semi-regularly.

Dalisy shrugged, she had been willing to wait. It wasn't her fault the others went back to the stupid office room expecting to find something more important than the literal trail of blood. At least it meant Lara wasn't with them, which Dalisy was just fine with. She was glad Astrid was there since apparently, Astrid could hit an invisible person with her spear.

"Not the most common thing. It usually implies the power is out in the building. Two ways out that I can think of. One is up and through the hatch on the top, the other is to pry the doors open and hope we aren't between floors too much and find a solid wall. We really gotta hope that it doesn't fail completely and we fall to our deaths." Dalisy grinned.

"Someone give me a lift up I'll try for the hatch in the top. Hopefully, it has one. Question Arnora, how did you guys go up and down the floors before the elevators? Did you climb a hundred flights of stairs daily? Or was there a cool slide?" She asked.

Niah followed the group into the subway walking near Oli. "This universe's Stark is in charge of camera security?" Niah asked. She frowned considering what that meant for them. If he was working with Big Brother that lowered their options of possible allies in this world. They would have to assume that the Avengers here were part of whatever overlord group...she supposed the Iron Legion as that was what Raynor was saying would come to pick them up. Great, she sighed. Part of her wanted to split the group and have those with a target on their heads go in different directions. But they were stronger together. Hopefully, her own life here wasn't anything to speak of so she wouldn't completely ruin it. Though it was likely Dalisy here was already gone (dead or part of Dalisy Prime's army), which meant her counterpart was dealing with the fall out of that.

She looked at Sparky confused. Then looked at Raynor. She knew she wasn't the only one who knew that Sparky was Lance Banner from another universe. Novi had said as much back in Australia what felt like a million years ago. Had Novi not told Sparky what she had seen?

"Hey, um. Sparky, you talked to Novi since like...Christmas right?" Niah had expected that Novi would explain. They were best friends. Novi had once brought the world to ruin just to save Sparky and she hadn't told her 'hey btw you're from a different reality'.

"Yes, weirded out. Yes, confused. I would like an explanation of what is going on in terms this non-science officer can understand, please? I get we aren't home. I don't understand what this place is or how the glowing thing sent us here." Matt was honestly pretty lost about what was going on. He followed the group down to the subway. The strange tech, the wanted posters. Raynor was calling this place his home.

He looked to Cass hoping she could explain. He normally was pretty smart, though among this group he was very clearly not the smartest and had no hope of ever being which was fine by him. He understood the basics. They had somehow been transported to some extra high-tech version of the world. He looked at Niah really confused when she asked Sparky if she had spoken to Novi recently. Of course, she had what did that have to do with being in a different world. He supposed any sort of explanation was only going to come from Raynor though as he was the only one who knew where they were.

This was not great. They were going to be fighting waves of monsters. He felt like this was some strange stalling tactic. He wasn't able to stop himself from being flung off the Bifrost. Fear spiked through him. He had no idea what would happen. He reached out trying to grab Bethany in hopes that at least they'd end up together wherever it was. He did not want to be alone, even if it was just into death. But he was dumped to safety by water. That was relieving. It meant Klara was likely nearby.

"Thank you Klara. I'm alright Bethany. Are you? Do you need any healing?" He said. He frowned though. Something seemed odd. He couldn't be certain but to his experience, he had never seen Klara summon water. She swept the bilgesnipes off the bridge to the fate that Ed had almost gone to. He sighed and started following them toward the Palace. When he heard Sif mutter under her breath that made his concerns rise even more.

"Sif, may I request a favor. I would like to test a theory. I would need a strand of your hair." He asked quietly. He could understand if she didn't want to offer up a strand of it considering her history with her hair.

"What sort of theory do you want to test that requires my hair?"

"I would like to test if I can find a missing person with half the information." Since Sif was Klara's mother her DNA would be half of Klara's. He had never done the tracking spell without direct DNA from the person he was tracking. He would have to change the spell around some to make it work.

"Alright..." she responded, handing him a strand of her hair, "Tell me, has Klara been acting strange lately? Since I found it odd that she used her control over water to deal with the bilgesnipes, as last time we encountered them, she made them her best friends instead..." she added, clearly somewhat concerned.

That fit right in with Ed's fear already. "I cannot say for certain, I haven't known Klara long. But something about the way she has spoken recently has made me nervous." He says candidly thinking of how Klara spoke about Asgard and more importantly some of her treatment of Runa. He couldn't say if that was normal, but it bothered him just enough.

"Oh..." she responded, before glancing towards where Klara was, "She's acting like typical, but her actions are... Strange... I know my daughter better than anyone, aside from her father and maybe Runa... Maybe I should speak to my sons about it since she tends to be the one keeping an eye on them so she tends to hang around them a bit..."

Ed nodded, he had allowed himself to fall a good distance behind Klara and the Warriors Three. He whispered in his gibberish Latin that he used for his magic after having wrapped the modified tracking device with Sif's hair. The pendant pointed to Sif. He sighed and adjusted his phrasing. This time it swung and pointed toward the Palace. That must be Klara's brothers, but it wasn't pointing at the Klara in front of him.

This time he focused on the image of Klara as he said the modified spell. It pointed down below the bifrost bridge into the stars of the sky, tugging him in that direction. His heart sank. "I do not believe that is Klara." He said in barely above a whisper to Bethany and Sif.

She had to get out of here. Had to escape. But could one escape hell? We get what we deserve. She thought. She took a deep breath, it burned and caused her to cough. This all felt so real. It couldn't be a dream. She opened the door that she knew would lead to where the Purifiers were.

"We know what you are." A voice said. Her stomach twisted. "You've been hiding here and we don't want your kind here."

"Purifiers." Ash hissed between her teeth. Andy's eyes went wide, her stomach twisting more than it already had. The men's attention was on Ash. "Run Andy," Jamie said and pushed Andy past them. One of the Purifiers grabbed her by the arm and twisted it behind her back.

"Not so quick, kiddo, are you a muttie?" The man asked, his voice was harsh. Andy shook her head.

"She works here. We rent the room in the basement to her." Jamie said. The Purifier didn't let Andy go. "She's not part of this. Let her go." Jamie was trying his best, fear crossed his features. Andy struggled against the Purifier's grip but couldn't escape.

"Kill the woman. She's the mutant we came for." The man who held Andy said. One of the other men shoved Ash back into the burning building. Jamie tried to fight back, but he was ineffective, and both were gone, pushed into the building. Andy screamed and struggled again, almost breaking free. "Make sure they stay inside till they're dead."

Andy could hear them screaming. Ash was trying to put some of the fire out with her water power, but the building was already too far gone. Their voices and screams ended.

"NO!" Andy yelled. She lashed out with her electrokinesis, but the man seemed unphased. However, she was able to break free of his grip finally. Andy threw a right hook and overestimated missing the man completely. He grabbed at her arm and caught it, but Andy pulled free quickly.

She knew better, this was playing out exactly as it had before. Changing it seemed impossible though. Andy spun around going through the door back into the gym. That was suicide and she knew it, but it was different. Instead of the heat of the fire and the gym burning down around her she was back on the field near Akademos. She was on the ground and in a whole lot of pain.

Something horrifying was happening with the people attacking them. One of them was fall apart in front of them. "She didn't do that." Andy yelled at Cadena. She didn't dare reach out and try to touch her again though. Somehow she had survived and Andy wasn't going to repeat that mistake. She'd have to find another way to fight.

The group of Asgardians amused Ed. He was a little sad that Runa had been left out, though he supposed that might have been by choice since she wasn't much of a physical fighter. He couldn't blame the Warriors Three and company for that. Ed saw the red mist and frowned. When the bilgesnipe appeared that made sense. These things looked nasty. He also didn't think he'd feel bad if he blasted them off the bridge.

He pushed some force, a light orange ball of energy hit one of the bilgesnipe, but it did little more than push it back a few steps. He tried again. Hitting it with more force and this time at a better angle, it fell off the bridge. He pushed at another one, having the same issue, he tried a fourth time and was able to knock it off the bridge. That left two of the bilgesnipes on the bridge.

Dalisy didn't even need her super sense to tell her that the person Astrid had wounded had pressed the button for floor 100. She was actually a little disappointed. If it had been her she would have smeared blood on a bunch of buttons to confuse anyone trying to follow her. But whatever.

"This person is either an idiot. Or this is a trap." She leaned more toward the person being an idiot. They weren't supposed to be involved. So no one could have planned for it. Unless the trap had been set for her father originally and the person was improvising. She frowned. Her hand started toward her sword, but she decided against it. She needed to use non-lethal methods, something Dalisy wasn't used to.

"Let's go punch a jerk." She said grinning, holding the elevator doors till everyone who wanted to join in that part of the expedition joined. "Maybe we can lift a print." She said. A funny image of them comparing fingerprints to everyone made her grin grow wider.

"Damn, Nancy that was badass. Make sure you get the trophy." Niah said. She was laughing a bit as the adrenaline that had hit her system caused endorphins and all sorts of fun chemicals that no longer had any use coursed through her. She flew over to her friends. Her body shaking a bit. She felt like she might throw up at the same time she wanted to just run a mile.

"Let's get out of here." She started for the exit. Mads had the gem. The dragon was dead. She paused. "We could bring back some of the treasure." They'd only need a little. Gold was worth a lot of money. "Also, do we think I'm going to be playing pilot all the way back? Or can we take a train again?" The return from a quest wasn't always as dangerous, and usually there was a quick way home since the return trip wasn't part of the quest usually.

It was disorienting. Niah hadn't been listening to the conversation since she had been focusing on her sight and couldn't hear. Suddenly she was standing in what looked like Times square. But things weren't right. She glanced around and saw a newspaper stand and caught the date. It was the same day as when they had left. That led to reason that where they were ran at the same time as them. They were in an alternate world.

"Not again." She dropped her super sight and looked at Oli, at least he was here. At least the group as a whole had been brought together. Whenever they split up the world was in more danger. She had dropped her super sight just in time to hear Bonnie and Raynor speak. She turned and looked at Raynor. Things clicked a little in her head leaving more questions than before. "Alright, where can we even go?

Matt wasn't certain if he was in a shoot first ask questions later camp or not. Though he had a feeling he'd at least ICER something that came through the creepy swirling vortex. That felt like some fae shit to him and he did not want to get involved in anything to do with them, if they existed. And in this world who knew. "What do you mean familiar?" he asked Sparky. He knew she had been in the Quantum Realm for a while, was it related. The question didn't matter though. Sparky touched the vortex and the whole group was swept up into it.

Matt reached out to Cass to make sure she was there. Once he reassured himself they were all on the other side, in Times Square apparently. He frowned. He looked at Raynor really confused. "I don't understand." Matt sighed giving up. Whatever had just happened was beyond his comprehension. It wasn't that Matt isn't smart, this just was outside anything he had experienced.
