Edus Penior

Skill: Stealth; magic

Ed nodded and started to shrink the bubble around her. He could tell he was hesitant to do it. Before coming to New York, he would never do this. Never had he considered killing someone like this. First, the man earlier and now this woman. Recentering, the bubble started to shrink around her.

It shrank more. The bubble was crushing her now. He did not like killing this way. The bubble around the heart was better. It would kill quickly. "Prepare yourself. I'm going to release her."

Niah smiled a bit as Maria was obviously frustrated. She did not blame her, but she was only teasing. The fight was winding down. That was good. It was almost dead, between Matt just straight up paralyzing the thing and a whole lot of damage from the others. Matt's power could be useful. She hadn't really considered his skills much before now. Compared to her, he was a powerhouse. All of her power was focused on investigation. She had nothing that could be used as defensive or offensive.

Niah didn't start walking back toward the group yet. She spotted Bonnie on the periphery and headed toward her. "This was a good distraction." She expected some police force at any moment to show up and start asking questions. The inevitable delay was already frustrating.

"Okay, but maybe we should speed this up?" Matt said, trying to get the Cthulhian monster to stop moving. He hit it twice more with his paralytic, but it didn't seem to take. Maybe it had started to become immune, or he had reached some limit on his power?

Or maybe it was just this part of the thing wasn't susceptible to the paralytic. He sighed, pulled his gun from his holster, and shot the creature. The bullet was as useless as his power apparently was.

"Now what?"

Andy couldn't repress a scream when Ben pulled her away from the kid. Well, Mystique. She cut the scream off quickly. He was lucky she didn't try to electrocute him on the spot. Instead, she mumbled her thanks. She got back to her feet. It was raining now, and it seemed the shield was shrinking. She thought maybe she could try to counteract it after what she had done in the spar with Magneto. But that was a later problem. The current problem was Mystique had punched her girlfriend.

"Fuck off." She said dropping into her boxing stance. She threw a punch but Mystique knocked her down. Andy bounced right back up. She had spent enough time in the boxing ring and wasn't afraid of being knocked around a bit. Andy went to throw another punch but Mystique grabbed her and tossed her onto the table. It knocked the air out of her, but she still zapped Mystique.

Andy set Chocolate down, giving him a couple of head pats before going to the water. She scooped out some for herself and took a small sip. The water tasted fine. That was good. She hoped it wasn't cursed or something. Too late now. She thought and drank some more of it.

Chocolate started to growl and yip. Andy turned to see what was going on. The glowing eyes was the likely reason. She pulled her dagger from her bracelet. Missing Arthur. His ability to control metal had made for some cool attacks between them. She'd have to rely on her own skill here. She braced, ready for a fight.

Location: Train
Skills: Mist Control

Monsters on the train looking for them. She shifted. It was an uncomfortable reminder of the time Mads, Nancy, and herself had been on Amtrak. That made her think of werewolves, which of course, made her upset. And she really didn't like cyclops after that trip anyway. Monsters always meant trouble.

She shrugged. "We'll see. I don't know how long it takes to the next stop, so they might have time to double back. They also might get caught by the conductor if they don't have tickets. But we first ran into them at the station, so maybe they do have tickets. I didn't think they had gotten on the train, but here they are." That was what was really bothering her. How had they gotten on? The train had definitely left them behind, but somehow they were on the train. She frowned. Picking at that thought.

Ed Penior

Location: The woods
Skills: Shield

Ed was not excited that Annie's counterpart was one of the ones that showed up. He was fond of Annie. He pushed that away. These were not their friends. Quicksilver was evil here. The others were too. He had to accept that and quickly. But for now, he could focus on Quicksilver. That was at least something he had already done. It was even a little cathartic.

Ed tried to throw a bubble shield around Quicksilver, stopping him from running around like the little maniac he was. Unfortunately, he was just a bit too fast for him. Fine, he thought. Time to use his speed against him. Ed threw up several force field walls in Quicksilver's general path. It semi-worked. While Ed had been hoping Quicksilver wouldn't have been able to stop in time and would have ended up like something out of a cartoon. Instead, the guy was able to stop. It did come with the bonus that now he had stopped moving. Maybe Mary could tie him up with some plants. As he thought that, Ed realized they were in the best place possible for Mary to fight.

Mage

Location: The woods (Hellfire Club)
Skills:

Mage frowned, looking at the group in front of them. These people were a distraction from their goal. But there were different people here. When they had met the group claiming to be from a different universe, they had had a version of him with them. He wasn't here. There were two reasons for that.

"They have a larger group. I don't see the two others that were with Nightlocke's counterpart among these." How many did they have in their group? The trio they had met had been vague on the details. Had they known about the crystal originally and been keeping that close to the chest? Mage prepared to create a shield, a familiar movement to the group as he reached into a pocket to touch his shield medallion.

Rose Buckner

Location: The Moors
Skills:

Once Cassi was ready too, Rose led the way downstairs. She heard Layla as she was coming down the last few steps. "We were not doing it. Some of us like to clean up in the morning and not smell like sweat all day." Rose said, entering the room.

She was smiling. "I'm ready, other than wanting some breakfast." She also could kill for some coffee. "Does this world have coffee?" God, she hoped so. She had worked in a diner for long enough to have what was probably an addiction to coffee. But the world they had grown up in didn't consider it a real addiction.

Colby Jackson

Location: Agrabah
Skills:

It was a relief once they got into Jasmin's hideout. Maddie wasn't there yet, though. That made Colby nervous. He had hoped Maddie would beat them to the hideout. He paced a bit. There was no hiding that he was worried.

"So what now?" He asked. Trying to sound cool and collected. But it was obvious he was worried. He looked to his dad, then Jasmine. "We got it, by the way." She should know. They shouldn't keep her in the dark until the others arrived. And they would arrive. He told himself sternly.

Location: The Carousel
Skills: Enhanced Reflexes (passive)

"I've only known she was my mom for like five minutes. And so far, that time has been spent being pecked by evil birds. I can't say I'm attached." That wasn't a lie. It also wasn't the total truth. Part of Andy was thirsty for a family. One that was hers. It was why she had let Magento adopt her. If Selene had come to her before she met the Mutant Underground group, she might have been up there on the stage with her.

She looked at the little kid who was crying. "Hey kid, who is your mom?" She didn't know the kid. And she didn't think any of the group had a kid, at least not one that would match the description of this kid. She thought James and Casper had an infant son they had adopted.

Andy was confident. If anyone came after her, she could protect herself. Or use her life draining to knock the person down some. Maybe if James came back, she'd have to. She knew he could heal, it'd be a way to keep him reduced. But Andy knew that was a dangerous and slippy slope if she wasn't careful, she might kill someone.

People were running. That was good. They were not going to get to safety fast enough. There would be lost life. She pushed that aside. She wasn't the only one trying to get the civilians to safety. It was a good thing they weren't in the Iron still. This would have gone very differently. Or maybe the Iron's police showing up would be good. They were no slouches.

Niah kept evacuating. She wasn't as good as Oliver or Maria could be at it. But at least she could help. She noticed Maria looking demonic. "Maria, stop messing around." She couldn't help but crack a smile. If that was permanent, she was just imagining Novi's face.

Matt felt like he had been hit by a bus. Thankfully, he hadn't broken any limbs. And he didn't think anything internal was damaged either. There was no way that thing had put all its effort into throwing him. Probably because the tentacle he had touched had gone paralyzed. He smiled, nodding to himself.

Matt ran back into the fray. Going for another tentacle. He wanted to hit this thing as hard as he could. If knocking out tentacles would slow it down, that was perfect. His hand hit the tentacle and released as much of his paralytic as possible. Thankful for the ability to control it at all. This time he didn't get swatted away like a fly. Maybe because it was really distracted with the others. Or maybe because the paralytic took faster, and it couldn't get a swipe out.

Risking broken bones, Matt dashed for another tentacle.

Ed Penior

Location: The woods
Skills: Shield

Ed nodded at the groups. It would work well enough. It might have been good that they had Guin with them since maybe she could interfere with whatever was wrong with the Klara here. Ed felt that Frost might have been manipulating Klara to keep her from remembering herself. If so, why?

He pushed the thoughts about the Klara thing aside and started walking with Mary. He kept the shield up. He didn't want them to get hit by something undercover. He started scanning and looking for the crystal. Since they had no idea where it could be, he searched the ground and trees. It was a good thing Runa had told them it was a bright pink color. That wouldn't be camouflaged too much.

Location: Labyrinth
Skill:

Andy nodded as both Mads and Mary reassured her. They were probably right. Or maybe Arthur was going somewhere the puppy couldn't. Like a super bright place. "Yeah, you're probably right."

She looked around the grotto, finally taking the view in. "Wow. Is the water safe to drink, then?" She asked as Mads dipped her water canteen into it. If Mads hadn't taken it first, she wouldn't have trusted it. Water in a place that was basically a demigod meat grinder.

Location: Train
Skills: Mist Control

Niah nodded. She believed they should have fought the Cyclopses. But if they both wanted to avoid the fight, so be it. They were both new to the whole thing. They also were Greek.

"If they get violent, then we'll get involved." She said. It was the middle ground of their desires. She stayed near the door. Listening for a fight or something starting. Maybe the conductor would toss them off the train. She smiled at the 'no ticket' joke.
