Ed was irritated. He felt like a rag doll. Having first been tossed by Exodus. He also didn't like how Mary sounded at the moment. Something seemed off. Maybe that was just the ringing in his ears...head. And of course Quicksilver hadn't been stopped. They didn't have anyone who could do cold in their group. Well Klara could do water...maybe she could do cold.

He would work with what he had. He started throwing up more force walls. Forcing Quicksilver away from the group. He wasn't quick enough to get him boxed in, but at least this way Quicksilver was distracted away from the fight somewhat.

Mage

Location: The woods (Hellfire Club)(Runa's group)
Skills: Magic

The only person in this group that Mage could guess their fighting style was Bethany. He had seen her fight already once before. But his force didn't really produce light. It wouldn't be much good against her. His skill really was in field control. But he could send blasts of force that hurt if he controlled them just right. Mage frowned everyone was knocked down already. He summoned as many force blasts as he could manage, and then rained them down on the group from above. At first he couldn't get any to rain down. He reorientated his mind. The force blasts rained down. Hitting Lance and Runa, slightly injuring them.

With Mystique taken care of, Andy looked around. Legion was handling Moneta. She had no answer for Ben and Max as far as she knew; they hadn't been a thing before the party. Sunshine had done something to Magento, and Harry was living his pop star dreams. There, of course, was the dragon that Max had summoned. Andy couldn't figure out why he thought that was a good idea. It was storming. There was lightning. Maybe she could do something with that. But really, besides the dragon, she wasn't sure where to go. Oh, she supposed she could talk to her mom.

What do you say to your mom when you just found out like a day ago that she was your mom, and now she was trying to kill you and everyone you knew? "I'm gonna go yell at Selene. I don't think I can like kill her or anything. But maybe she'll stop." Andy said to Zari with a shrug.

Andy marched over to the stage with Selene on it. "Hey! What the hell is this all about? You ruined a perfectly good party." Andy felt that if she said Selene had ruined it with murder, Selene would probably believe that only improved the party. And maybe, if anything, Andy could distract Selene while someone else smarter figured out how to stop her. "Do you think killing everyone I know is the way to convince me to be a good and diligent daughter?" This was the stupidest thing Andy had ever done in her whole life. And she had done some dumb things.

Andy hoped her aunt was okay. She had to focus on taking this thing down quickly. She sent some electricity its way. The lizard was close enough for her to stab with her dagger too. But the hide of the lizard was too thick. Her dagger alone wasn't going to do much. She tried to stab it again and maybe use the dagger as a lightning rod. But it seemed useless. She couldn't get past its hide.

"My dagger is too small. I can't stab it." She said, distressed. Alright, time to focus on electricity. She held up her other hand and pulled on the electrical energies she could always feel. This time when the lizard was hit, it seemed to actually do some damage. The lizard stumbled back, and there were some burn marks on it. She had probably only pissed it off since it was still alive.

Niah nodded. Jason's idea of how the cyclopses made sense. She had thought the thunk noise had been them throwing something at the train, but them hopping on made sense. She noticed a book left behind on a chair. She picked it up and leafed through it. Niah raised an eyebrow, wondering who would have read something like this. She tucked it under her arm and let the illusion drop.

The conductor was near their room now. She opened the door as he approached. He asked for their tickets. She smiled and handed them over. He looked at them and marked them with a hole punch. He didn't seem too concerned with a couple of teens and a kid riding a train alone. Once he had moved on, she put the illusion back up.

"We should be fine getting food and stuff now. The illusion is still there since it fooled them once. But since it looks like electrical access, be careful leaving and entering."

Rose laughed and shook her head. She got herself some food. And when the coffee was ready. A cup was given to her by Flynn. She thanked him brightly and drank it black. She could drink coffee sweet with creamer or black. She wasn't picky. All that mattered was getting some caffeine. Thank goodness this world had some. She would consider returning to Kansas after this was all over if it hadn't. She had to repress a snort of laughter at the idea of the conversation there 'ah yeah, I came back to Kansas because it had coffee.'

Once she had finished eating and drinking the coffee, she stood up. "I'm ready." She tested her arm real quick. It felt good enough that she wasn't worried about it anymore. When the wound had first happened, she had been concerned she wouldn't be able to use a bow again. But now she felt confident about it.

"We were recognized. Rumple was at the party." He explained. Then the door opened, and Maddie entered the room. Colby breathed relief; the worry that had been written on his face disappeared instantly as they hugged.

"Agreed." He said a little stiffly as their hug ended. He held onto Maddie's hand afterward. Colby suppressed a smile. Another secret passage. This was getting a little cliche.

"Goodie...dire warnings." Niah sighed. She glanced at Raynor. How would he handle it if they had to go to New Asgard? She walked over to Oliver. He was sluggish compared to his normal speed. Maria had drained him enough to cause that.

"You okay?" She asked. Matt had been tossed, but he seemed okay; same for Bonnie. Otherwise, no one had been hurt. That was pure luck. And they had a new lead from the Sorcerer Supreme. Niah repressed a smile at the thought. This was the only world she had been to yet where Dr. Strange wasn't the Sorcerer Supreme. But she knew that wasn't always true.

Matt rejoined the others. With the Cthulian nightmare gone, the second of as many days for him, they could start making their next plans. He frowned at the woman. He didn't know who she was. He glanced around the group to see if the others thought this woman was trustworthy. But with that warning, they had no choice but to trust her at least a bit.

"What can you tell us about the magic thing?" Matt didn't know much about magic. All his interaction with it had been with the Secret Warriors. And that was limited. No one in the group did anything considered magic. Raynor was the one to most likely understand what was being talked about.

Ed nodded and started to shrink the bubble around her. He could tell he was hesitant to do it. Before coming to New York, he would never do this. Never had he considered killing someone like this. First, the man earlier and now this woman. Recentering, the bubble started to shrink around her.

It shrank more. The bubble was crushing her now. He did not like killing this way. The bubble around the heart was better. It would kill quickly. "Prepare yourself. I'm going to release her."

Niah smiled a bit as Maria was obviously frustrated. She did not blame her, but she was only teasing. The fight was winding down. That was good. It was almost dead, between Matt just straight up paralyzing the thing and a whole lot of damage from the others. Matt's power could be useful. She hadn't really considered his skills much before now. Compared to her, he was a powerhouse. All of her power was focused on investigation. She had nothing that could be used as defensive or offensive.

Niah didn't start walking back toward the group yet. She spotted Bonnie on the periphery and headed toward her. "This was a good distraction." She expected some police force at any moment to show up and start asking questions. The inevitable delay was already frustrating.

"Okay, but maybe we should speed this up?" Matt said, trying to get the Cthulhian monster to stop moving. He hit it twice more with his paralytic, but it didn't seem to take. Maybe it had started to become immune, or he had reached some limit on his power?

Or maybe it was just this part of the thing wasn't susceptible to the paralytic. He sighed, pulled his gun from his holster, and shot the creature. The bullet was as useless as his power apparently was.

"Now what?"

Andy couldn't repress a scream when Ben pulled her away from the kid. Well, Mystique. She cut the scream off quickly. He was lucky she didn't try to electrocute him on the spot. Instead, she mumbled her thanks. She got back to her feet. It was raining now, and it seemed the shield was shrinking. She thought maybe she could try to counteract it after what she had done in the spar with Magneto. But that was a later problem. The current problem was Mystique had punched her girlfriend.

"Fuck off." She said dropping into her boxing stance. She threw a punch but Mystique knocked her down. Andy bounced right back up. She had spent enough time in the boxing ring and wasn't afraid of being knocked around a bit. Andy went to throw another punch but Mystique grabbed her and tossed her onto the table. It knocked the air out of her, but she still zapped Mystique.

Andy set Chocolate down, giving him a couple of head pats before going to the water. She scooped out some for herself and took a small sip. The water tasted fine. That was good. She hoped it wasn't cursed or something. Too late now. She thought and drank some more of it.

Chocolate started to growl and yip. Andy turned to see what was going on. The glowing eyes was the likely reason. She pulled her dagger from her bracelet. Missing Arthur. His ability to control metal had made for some cool attacks between them. She'd have to rely on her own skill here. She braced, ready for a fight.

Monsters on the train looking for them. She shifted. It was an uncomfortable reminder of the time Mads, Nancy, and herself had been on Amtrak. That made her think of werewolves, which of course, made her upset. And she really didn't like cyclops after that trip anyway. Monsters always meant trouble.

She shrugged. "We'll see. I don't know how long it takes to the next stop, so they might have time to double back. They also might get caught by the conductor if they don't have tickets. But we first ran into them at the station, so maybe they do have tickets. I didn't think they had gotten on the train, but here they are." That was what was really bothering her. How had they gotten on? The train had definitely left them behind, but somehow they were on the train. She frowned. Picking at that thought.

Ed was not excited that Annie's counterpart was one of the ones that showed up. He was fond of Annie. He pushed that away. These were not their friends. Quicksilver was evil here. The others were too. He had to accept that and quickly. But for now, he could focus on Quicksilver. That was at least something he had already done. It was even a little cathartic.

Ed tried to throw a bubble shield around Quicksilver, stopping him from running around like the little maniac he was. Unfortunately, he was just a bit too fast for him. Fine, he thought. Time to use his speed against him. Ed threw up several force field walls in Quicksilver's general path. It semi-worked. While Ed had been hoping Quicksilver wouldn't have been able to stop in time and would have ended up like something out of a cartoon. Instead, the guy was able to stop. It did come with the bonus that now he had stopped moving. Maybe Mary could tie him up with some plants. As he thought that, Ed realized they were in the best place possible for Mary to fight.

Mage

Mage frowned, looking at the group in front of them. These people were a distraction from their goal. But there were different people here. When they had met the group claiming to be from a different universe, they had had a version of him with them. He wasn't here. There were two reasons for that.

"They have a larger group. I don't see the two others that were with Nightlocke's counterpart among these." How many did they have in their group? The trio they had met had been vague on the details. Had they known about the crystal originally and been keeping that close to the chest? Mage prepared to create a shield, a familiar movement to the group as he reached into a pocket to touch his shield medallion.
