Birds. Like the Hitchcock film. There were so many descending upon them. Andy ran with Madalyne and Mary into the cabin. Her heart pounded in her ears. She had never been afraid of birds before. But she also had never seen them act like this. It was horrifying. She understood why people could be afraid of them now.

Inside the cabin, Mads found a cellar. Inside it seemed to be someone's bolt hole. Useful for them, but how dangerous was it in the long run? Who lived in the Labyrinth? That seemed insane. It also was not what Andy had expected.

"What do we do now?" How long would they be done there? Maybe there was a secondary route out? She looked around trying to see if she noticed anything. She also looked to see how much dust there was. If this place had been recently used there would be signs of it, compared to a place that had been abandoned for a long time.

"Thank you. We appreciate it." Niah responded both for the mention of having paramedics look at them and the offer of a refund. She was more hungry than anything though. "Uh, I don't know if it is possible, but really we'd just like the food again I think. We hadn't gotten to eat much and are pretty hungry. But I understand if the birds took everything it'd be hard to do that. We're on the train for the long haul though." She explained.

"For now let's go back." She said to Stella and Jason. She headed out of the dining cabin and back to the small room they had claimed. Hoping no one had decided to move into it while they had been gone. Thankfully the feathers had done the trick. Even if it was ridiculous that they had stayed in the room when everyone else had fled. But the conductor didn't mention that.

Andy sighed. And started putting her roommate's things back where they belonged. "You can't take Mai's things." She said shaking her head. "And no. I'm not getting you ritual materials. That's how we got into this mess." Andy realized she shouldn't take Selene into Agatha's tent. She had no idea what Agatha might know and she did not want to deal with the two of them making friends. Even if Agatha was apparently transferring to a different school.

Andy then grabbed the bag she had gotten specifically for carrying Selene around. If Selene had just stayed as a box this wouldn't have gotten weird. But since she was the weird doll... Well Andy wasn't going to lock her in a trunk and hide her from the world. That would drive anyone mad. And Selene was already crazy enough. This way Selene could get enrichment.

"There is a school fair going on. You can join, but please be on good behavior, if you aren't I'll bring you back here." After putting Selene in the bag, Andy headed back out to the field. She hoped the others were still at the sword-fighting thing. Maybe when they moved onto the tent she could grab food for Zari and herself. And if, Zari's roommate...Victoria(?) wanted food for her too. And the other girl, Madalyne. Oh god, would Madalyne know who Selene was? She had said she practiced magic. What was a magic person doing here and not at like Strange Academy? Strange's school wasn't new either.

Her mind swirling and overthinking everything, like usual. She made her way back to the field where the fair was happening. Absolutely nuts. Why had she thought this was a good idea? High school, at her age? It should be different from 2020, but teens didn't seem to change. Maybe she'd have to accept that she needed to try to fit in. Coming here she just wanted to learn how to protect her mother...or rather protect the world from her mother. That was what mattered. She shivered, despite the heat and the comforting jacket that made her way too hot. Maybe she should have left that in her room. Shorts would have been a good idea too. San Francisco was never this hot. Why was southern California broken?

Emzie started to lead. They followed the map that they had of the factory. A small light indicated to them where they needed to go -the power source of the factory.

The rest of the way was clear. They had met quite a bit of resistance, but Emzie still felt it might not be appropriate. There was of course the strange droid with the lightsaber. The lightsaber that Emzie now carried. They had never carried one for more than a moment in all of their 'life'.

Emzie stopped in front of a door painted red with several numbers painted in black.

"Through this door will be the power source of the factory. The mission is to destroy that. The space battle currently happening above this planet would end faster without the swarm of droids that were being made and being shipped right out into the fight.

Rose nodded at Robin Hood's explanation. It was his mission. So if he trusted that Flynn would catch up then so be it. She smiled at Layla and stuck out her tongue, "No, never." She almost said 'that'll be the day I die' and decided that was a bit too dangerous to say in their current situation. She didn't want to risk the good old demon Murphy coming down on them.

When Robin Hood waved for them to hide she took cover near Cassi. This was bad. She hoped these men weren't expecting to run into the ones they had just taken out. She held her breath, not wanting to risk being heard. If they kept going they should be fine. But if these men looked for the ones they had killed they'd have to fight them. For all the same reasons they had the first fight.

A sense of relief went through Colby at Jasmin's comment. The Genie was good and had been freed. They could do it again. He was less concerned about the wording now. But knowing what they wanted to ask before they asked would be good. That way whoever did the asking was less likely to mess it up.

"Since, he'll help willingly, the ask can be on the more vague side. We could ask something like 'the forces needed to assault the castle' and I don't know 'a grenade that can kill her while hurting no one else.' Colby gave a bit of a shrug with the second one. He wasn't certain what they could ask for. The Genie might even have some ideas himself.

Andy shook Mads hand, then glanced in the direction of the fireball, but since none of the teachers seemed worried and there weren't any more signs of something like a fight she assumed it was okay. Though, part of her stayed aware of it. She did not like fire. There was the whole dead adoptive parents thing associated with it.

Then her phone chirped. It was the special tone she had for her mom. So before even looking at her phone, she was groaning. "How about I meet you there? I need to grab something from my room." The thought of her mom being bored and left in the room suddenly seemed like a terrible idea.

"I'll be quick. Meet you at the sword fighting, then after we get a turn there go for fortunes and then some cotton candy. Sound good?" She was mostly telling Zari, but the other two girls were included in her glance. She wasn't excluding them.

This also meant she was going to have to walk around with the dang doll. There was no way anyone who was already snickering at her would let that slide. Why had she let herself be convinced to go back to high school? Sure she was technically seventeen but she didn't fit in here. Of course, there was finally a mutant school that wasn't a prison in disguise or owned exclusively by a rich white dude and she had been born twice as long ago as any of her classmates.

Hating it all...except Zari, who made being here worth it. She left the trio of girls and went back to her room.

Andy didn't care for traveling on the cliffside. Getting down to the solid ground was a relief. Her sigh almost matched Mads. She looked around taking in the forest-like setting. She wondered where they were. According to the book they were still in the Labyrinth, but this didn't look like it.

"We should get somewhere safe before stopping." Though what did safe mean? She had done a lot of on-foot traveling before ending up at the camp. She wasn't afraid of being out in the open...normally. Somehow this place had a more sinister feeling. She didn't trust the appearance of safety here.

"Ugh!" Niah grabbed some napkins and wiped her face. She wiped her sword next and then returned it to its sheath.

"I'm not sure what they meant. I don't like it either. I don't know what a train would have for them, other than the food." She looked around trying to decide if they should try to clean up the mess or hide like everyone else had. Soon people would be coming back and they might be held responsible for the damage.

She reached for the Mist. People had already seen birds, now she just had to make it seem reasonable. She remembered how aggressive Seagulls could be for food. It would make sense. People wouldn't question it too much. Discarded feathers from seagulls joined the mess in the room. She hoped with that people would assume they had done their best to stop the aggressive birds.

As they stood there debating what to do with the false Klara, Ed realized many of the group were injured. He reached into his pocket and touched the jars that were there for each of the injured people in turn. He skipped over Klara's as that hair was for the false Klara.

Orange light reached out and gently brushed each of them. Not all their wounds could heal. He did not have it in him for that. But the worst melted away.

He was ready to leave too. Interesting that Runa reached out for her grandmother and not Strange. He could sort of understand that though. He didn't know how well he trusted the Strange of this universe, not to mention the one of their home universe. There was a reason why he hadn't joined Strange's group even though he could do magic.

Andy supposed that made sense. It was an important relic and could change the power structure in Zari's home world. She put the thought aside for now. Listening to Zari introduce her to Victoria. While Zari went up, she smiled at Victoria. "Nice to meet you. I'm Andy." She said the first part to both Victoria and Madalyne, and the second part was directed to Madalyne alone. Then she watched as Zari tried to pick up the hammer. Nothing happened, obviously.

"My turn." She said when Zari came back. She was half listening as Mr. Eyeball lectured to Zari, who seemed to take it to heart. Then she tried to pick up the hammer. It was heavy. There was no budging it. She laughed and rejoined Zari. "Guess having lightning powers doesn't put me higher on the qualify for the hammer list."

"I'll always rescue you." Rose said. She was grinning, but her tone was serious. If Cassie needed help, she'd be there for her. "I must live near the woods too. I don't think I could live forever in the city. I always felt suffocated a bit when I was in town versus out in the woods."

She was starting to get worried about Rosalia. It wasn't the first time she had wandered off. But Flynn had gone after her, and Flynn was theoretically competent enough to get her back without issue. Who knew? Maybe Rosalia had found another lost knight of the round table. It was a story book world. And coincidence drove an uncomfortable amount of stories.

Maddie had a good point. Sure the genie from the movies was friendly, but where in the story were they? He obviously wasn't freed, and Aladdin had died. Rapunzel was closer to the classic story than the recent Disney movie. And the thing that threw a wrench into his opinion was Red. How did someone who had like two paragraphs of a story exist? Colby frowned. He could not overthink this place.

Pushing trying to figure out how this world worked aside, Colby looked at Merlin—waiting for his answer to Willow and Maddie's question. When one of his own popped up. "What wishes will we ask for anyway?" Should they workshop them and ensure they get everything they need?

Ah well, it seemed the issue of Klara would be resolved. There were two of them, and it seemed Runa had somehow gotten the Klara from earlier to remember things. Runa even seemed aware that this was potentially Loki. Ed glanced at Mary. Should he reveal that he knew the one traveling with them wasn't the real Klara? He would rather have that conversation private with Runa. For now, he stayed back and allowed the events to unfold.

He cringed at what Guin was apparently doing. And he did not feel sending Lance after 'Loki' would be the best plan, but this was Runa's family, so it was up to her. His question really was still, why? What was there to gain from replacing Klara? And apparently sending her off to another reality. Or...maybe what did they lose by not having her?
