Rose was thankful for Cassie's hand as they made their way into the castle. When they stopped she knocked an arrow just in case. She'd be ready if needed. She didn't draw though. She shook her head at the request for a stealth spell. That felt like something they should have cast before getting this far if that had been part of the plan.

She looked at Merlin, waiting. She didn't add to the conversation. There was nothing to say that would be new. And speaking here was asking to be noticed. Rose scanned the area, making sure they weren't going to be noticed. Rose holds her free hand up to her lips and then gestures to the guards she spots near them.

Colby was knocked over by Gabreilla bowling into him. He was going to offer to help, but she seemed to have her shit together. There was now the actual dragon to deal with. He wondered if it was Maleficent in disguise. Riding it was Rumple, jerk. Colby thought he might be able to hit Rumple with some lighting but he was way more likely to be able to hit the dragon. He didn't think fire would do much so lighting was a better idea.

He cast the spell. The bolt hit the dragon. It seemed to hurt it, the dragon likely wouldn't be able to fly. This of course meant it was going to be very angry... at him. He quickly cast again, missing. Colby had been hoping he'd have time to teleport away but taking out the dragon seemed more important suddenly. He casts the lightening spell again. This one hit the dragon and it seemed to pass out. It was still breathing, but at least it was unconscious and couldn't hurt him.

Andy stumbled out into the bright light of California. Her whole body was shaking as she gasped for air trying to control her fear and anger and sadness. She felt cold and hot at the same time. Instinctively she flinched away from Damon, a part of her still hating him for pulling a knife on her, and a part of her wishing it were Arthur that was there to comfort her. She looked up at Mary trying to figure out how to answer her question. Was she okay? Could she be okay? "No." She missed Arthur.

When Andy saw Niah and Jason and Stella she ran over to the trio, not really registering that someone else was with them. She practically flew into Niah, stopping short when she realized Niah was taking something from Mary.

Taking cover near the bathrooms as Persephone had recommended Niah kept an eye on the sky. If the goddess was uncomfortable that did not bode well for them. She looked over and saw Mary and Andy...without Mads...coming toward them.

"They were in the Labyrinth." Her voice was devoid of emotion suddenly. She already knew that Mads was gone. Fallen into Tartus. Lost to them. She bit back the urge to swear on her mother that she'd get Mads back.

"Thank you, Mary." She said holding out her hand. Niah glanced at the gem. She knew what it was, so she quickly tucked it away in her bag. Her hands were shaking, but her voice remained steady as she spoke.

"Andy?" She didn't say anything else, the small girl stepped up and the two hugged. Niah wouldn't have said she had been fond of Andy, but the kid had been through a lot before learning she was a demi-god. This couldn't have been easy. Even expecting it. To lose the only blood she had, non-god-related blood at that, couldn't be easy. And Niah had lost one of her best friends in the whole world. She needed to call Nancy. After a moment of hugging Andy the two parted, Andy still clutching the sword awkwardly.

"I need to find a way to make a rainbow. I need to let Nancy know." Hopefully Nancy was in a position to take an Iris call (something Niah considered one of the perks of working with Greeks).

"Can I go with you? I want to call Arthur." Hopefully the Harpies and whatever the Eagle were would leave them alone long enough to get their calls out.

"I did not want to do this." Andy says, pulling the glove off of her right hand. She holds it out, not quite touching Michaela, she doesn't need to, not for what she is drinking. The Eldritch Energy that was pouring off of Michaela was rich, and Andy drank deeply.

She was always thirsty. Always hungry. It had happened slowly that food hadn't quite satiate her the same anymore. She was so careful all the time after what had happened that first training day with Mads. Andy couldn't trust herself. But this was life. This was warmth. If asked to describe the sensation she'd say it was like climbing out of a cool lake on a hot summer day and letting the sun bake you dry. She wanted more and could feel herself tilting ever so closer to touching Michaela.

Ed was relieved it had worked. He also hoped it meant Mary had burned (no pun intended) some of that energy that had been building. She had stepped out into the hall. He let his shield drop as the steam dissipated.

"You're right. That is my friend. We know about it. We are trying to help her. If you don't want anything to do with her that's your choice. But we've dealt with some bullshit together. I'm not going to abandon her. I know what a world without her is like, I'd like to keep her in this world. The threat here is Cortez." Ed said fiercely at Robert. He had trusted Mary with the secret fear he had had that Klara had been replaced by Loki. He wasn't going to let her down when she needed him because he was afraid of what she could do to him.

He stepped into the hallway. "Alright, we got those visuals on the others, can we find them now?" Getting the group all together would be ideal. He heard the crackling of electricity. He did not like that noise.

He wanted to tell Madalyne that he'd buy her a hundred candy bracelets. That'd never make up for not being there for her, but he could try. If he could change his fate. There was of course 0 chance of that happening. He couldn't focus on that for now. He wanted to make sure their duty here was complete. That Earth would be safe. That going home would even be worthwhile.

Ed couldn't help but smile at Max, letting him hold onto his arm. Maybe Max found reassurance in his presence without knowing the friendship that came with it. At least he was taking the weird healing well. There seemed to be something wrong with how healing worked here. Max had tried to heal Annika (not that Ed knew her name he felt better about thinking of her, names were much easier than descriptions), and that had led to her spouting fur. Now Max was scaly. Had he healed anyone since coming here? He knew he would have remembered it causing something so strange, but healing people was nearly second nature to him. That was most of what he did for the X-men half the time it felt like. He smiled at the memory of Max telepathically asking him to heal someone across an asteroid.

Ed considered how to answer Max's question while Witchfire was distracted by the letter. He didn't want to give too much away here and now, but Max probably would never get any resolution for his question if Ed didn't answer it soon. "It is complicated. We didn't meet here." He decided for a simple answer.

"We have to finish the task set before us before we can leave. I don't particularly like the idea of leaving a weakness as such." Ed said. "I do not know much of this type of magic." This last part was said more in the direction of Runa and Max. He was relieved that Max was there. Ed knew Max had studied under Dr. Strange before joining the X-Men, maybe he would have the information they needed. Between Max and Runa they should have the necessary knowledge.

Ed wanted to say more, say how he wanted to protect his family. Protect the future of his world. He also knew that such weakness in him would easily be used against him. Considering one of those people he considered family was sitting next to him, and several other people he would die trying to protect were in this room he felt...exposed.

There were guards, Rose wasn't surprised they hadn't been subtle the last time they had gone this way. Of course, she had reinforced the entrance. But not enough. Already the group had downed most of the guards that had been there. She stayed near Cassi, knocked an arrow, and drew the bow. She did not have any compunctions with killing, at least in the heat of a battle. She might find she had an issue if she had to do it cold.

The first arrow she shot was dodged. She was a good shot, it was very rude of the guard to do that. She shot again. He was not so lucky this time. He fell to the ground, unmoving. She shot a third arrow, this one hitting its target and killing the man. There were some guards still living, but they were probably going to be disfigured from the fight. That was good enough. The thing about war was killing was not always necessary. What mattered was removing the person from battle. And these guards were removed. She glanced at Cassi to make sure she was alright.

"Thanks." He gave Gabriella a thumbs up. Before just decking one of the surviving soldiers in front of him. The guy now had a broken nose. He doubted that'd do much to stop him.

Colby took a half step back and held his hands up with thumbs touching and fingers spread. A thin sheet of flames shoots forth from your outstretched fingertips. The two men were burned but not badly. He tried again. This time, one of them died. The other seemed fine.

Andy knew this was going to happen. That didn't mean she wasn't horrified by it. She shook a little as the gold dust that was her aunt drifted down. She'd not lie now if asked what that was about. There was no point.

She, however, would not allow the murder of her aunt to go unpunished. She sent lightning at the monster that had killed Madalyne. The lightning hit it, and the monster turned to dust. "Good." She mumbled.

"I'll have to contact Nancy and Niah." She said and turned, she kept going. Kept walking. Moving away from the last place her aunt had been. They had to get this stupid sword back to camp. Arthur was right. This was a miserable existence. She had friends and family, but they were always taken away.

Niah frowned. She didn't know what Valhalla was, but from Jason's reaction, it was some other mythological place. They rode along finally arriving at the trailhead. She did not like this place. She missed this coast. California was her home. More than the Philipines even though she had lived there longer.

"Thank you." She told the Taxi driver and got out. Once he was paid and drove off Niah started to lead the way up the mountain. Her stomach twisted a bit. Here they had encountered the werewolves that had doomed one of her best friends. Was Mads already gone? It had been days...or was her fate still in the future? Her mind darted between worries.

"I do not know anything about Valhalla." Niah confessed as they walked. Her sister, in her vision, did not seem to have aged. It was likely then that Valhalla was an afterlife. At least her sister looked happy.

She was alright. She knew him. She hugged him. She called him dad. Tears pricked at his eyes as he hugged his daughter back. He didn't care that she looked like a demon. He was just thankful that she was alright. Thankful that she knew him. That 1 thing almost lifted a weight off of him, but that was slammed right back down when she asked where he had been. He nodded at her whisper. Now wasn't the time for asking questions like 'When was the last time you saw me?'

He looked over at the three new people joining them. He recognized Carolina. He hadn't recognized the child Klara, but once Runa spoke to her he figured it out. This was getting more awkward. Five of the people here he knew personally. Interesting. He waved to Carolina but didn't say anything, just letting her know he knew her. She was older too, older than him by the looks of it.

Entering the throne room and taking it all in Ed knew he would not eat or drink anything given here. He did not trust it. He kept himself between Madalyne and Witchfire.

"I'm sorry for not being there." He said softly to Mads, and from his pocket pulled out the candy bracelet before holding out his hand and offering it to Madalyne.

Andy personally didn't totally care about the contest. She did want to punch Megan more, but that anger had popped like a balloon at being called a villain. Yes, the contest had set them up as that. However, she wasn't a villain. She had helped save the world. She was every day protecting the world from one of its greatest threats...her mother. Andy knew she was one shitty day from becoming a villain. It would be a line she'd walk her whole life.

"You want a villain? I can give you villain." She said angrily and marched over to where the 'hostage' was. One of the girls was trying to grab the hostage but a shield was around it, and by appearances was probably from Mary Sue. The other hit Mary Sue so hard that Andy was surprised the girl was still standing. Andy was a bit tempted to throw a punch at Theda for that, but she could tell that Michaela needed to be dealt with.

Andy punches Michaela, but some strange energy field surrounds her blocking the attack. She frowns considering the situation.

"It'll take all of us throwing an attack at her to stop her." She told the team. But to get all of them to concentrate long enough on Michaela was going to be nearly impossible.

Punchable was a good word. He considered punching Robert too. Ed really didn't give a shit if he had worked with Xavier or not. There probably was a fair amount of people who had at one point or another. It didn't mean the chance of being backstabbed was any lower. Perry had hit the nail on the head. They had been forced here. Of course, they were a bit touchy after that.

If Mary was claustrophobic this was the first time Ed had thought that was possible. She had been in space before. Sure their situation was really dire at the moment. But they had been in many very dire situations.

"Mary, take a deep breath. We can figure it out." He said gently. Her fire was getting under control at least—stupid space chicken. "I have an idea, but it'll be messy. I can protect us with a shield and you can turn that water into steam." If his shield failed...If...if if. All those didn't really matter. They were stuck.

He wrapped the group, minus Mary, into a bubble. He made sure it was heatproof and would keep oxygen in. It had to be. If oxygen left the bubble it'd get cooked with the water, and if it weren't heatproof they'd be steamed. He was satisfied with the bubble of orange light that surrounded the group. He nodded at Mary and released the shield he had on the door. The rest was up to her.
