Bio

Posting and replies will be limited due to my upcoming transplant on the 22nd of June. I apologize to everyone waiting on me in advance.

Suppose I can say a few things about myself.

My name's Josh, I happen to enjoy roleplaying(obviously), a bit of gaming now and then, and watching anime from time to time. I'm typically hanging around here somewhere, or sitting in Chat. If you want to speak to me there, feel free. Wouldn't be opposed to VM's either. You can also add me to Skype if you so wish, I'll put that up at the end. I typically do 1x1 roleplays, though there are group ones I do, provided the plot is interesting enough. Anyways, suppose that's all for now.

@sakurasan Ah, another Mirai Nikki lover like me. Pleasure to have you with us. ^_^
I'm here, my friend!
He was glad to see and hear she wasn't going to leave, or that she wouldn't talk to him again, he would've been even more disappointed with himself if he had completely offended a beauty such as her. Her advice sounded almost similar to that of Mojavico's, though she was more direct about it, and deep down he knew she was right. Being so tightly wound up and closed off wasn't going to help him at all, well, not in this situation anyways; perhaps if he was trying to intimidate someone, sure. It was clear he had much to learn about the world and the people who were its inhabitants, along with learning how to be a better person than he was now. Sure, he was lucky the dragoness was forgiving, that she had patience to deal with him and his theatrics. He knew if it were a Human or a Dwarf, they'd have given up on trying to talk to him. Yes, he had much work ahead of himself if he wanted to change, especially if he wanted to get closer to the dragoness. "I wouldn't hold it against you, I probably haven't been much help in keeping you calm. If I were to hold anything against you, it would be your kindness and patience. And those are good things." he replied. Her insinuation caused a grin to form on his face, "I may take you up on that offer at some point." he said. He was starting to become a little more receptive to her flirting, whether it was because he was understanding how such things worked, or if he was putting in an effort to change was unknown. In either case, he had clearly taken her advice to heart.

He watched the orb emerge from her purse, he assumed it had to be made of obsidian, though he could be wrong. At first he thought it to be a tool of some sort, something she used when searching in ruins, a light source perhaps? Once the flames started to manifest and take on a physical form, he realized he had been wrong in his assumption. Once the fire sprite had fully manifested itself, he couldn't help but chuckle, especially when it hid itself behind the dragoness' horns. Aussir looked back at her, his smile still there, "He's adorable. Timid, but still adorable." he said, glancing at the sprite. When she mentioned she was a Firespinner, the look on his face changed. It wasn't a hard look, more like he was recalling something, "A Firespinner, huh? My father told me once that they were nothing but trouble and that I should avoid them, lest misfortune befall me." he told her. His face softened, his smile returning, "I was young at the time, and I believed his words, so I avoided certain people. However, I learned a long time ago that my father disliked many things, it seems Firespinners were top of his list. Ever since then, I haven't particularly heeded his advice from my younger years. I'm glad I decided not to; you don't seem like the type of person who would cause misfortune to another, at least, not intentionally anyways." he told her, his tail flicking a bit.

He leaned back on the bench, turning his head to the sky, "I have to admit, I'm a little envious of you; you have a companion like Cinder there to travel with, so you're not ever really alone when you're out exploring ruins or whatever else you explore. I wish I had a companion of my own, I mean, Destiny is good company, but it's not the same as you and Cinder. Destiny gets me from place to place, while a companion like Cinder would be able to do so much more. And I'm not talking about fighting or anything like that, I'm referring more to a unique bond through hardships, a companion would be like..." he paused, scrunching up his face as he tried to find the right word so she would understand the meaning he was trying to convey, instead of leading her to believe he was assuming things again. It took him a few moments, but he finally found the right word, "A companion would be like family to you. I mean, you help to care for them, to protect them, and they do the same for you. At least, that's how I view the bond between a companion and their master." he finished. He sat there, staring at the night sky, using his peripheral vision to look her over again. He had to admit how attractive she was, of course, repeating this to himself was starting to get redundant, even if it was the truth.

He remained silent for awhile, the atmosphere remaining casual and calm, even as he spoke once again. "He left me after mother died." he said to her, still looking at the sky. His voice hadn't changed, it wasn't somber or filled with sadness, it remained at the same level of calmness. "I think it was too much for him, you know? Losing the woman he loved, then having to raise me on his own; I don't think he could take the pressure." he paused for a moment to look at her. He gave her a smile to assure her he was alright talking about this, "One day he took me to the arena and introduced me to some of the officials there, as they spoke to me, he must have slipped away. I haven't seen him since that day, and I don't think I ever want to. Despite my calm tone right now, I have anger and hate for him. I know you said earlier that to hold feelings like those is pointless given our longevity, but in my case, he's the one exception to that rule. I can't forgive him, he abandoned me when I needed him most." he told her. He looked at Cinder, giving the fire sprite a soft smile, "She must take good care of you, huh? That's good; it's always good to have someone who'll be there. You do your best and become strong." he told the little sprite. He slowly stood and moved to the fountain, watching the water flow, his mind wandering to the things she said to him through the night. He finally turned his head to look at her, "I want to thank you for everything you've said to me tonight, you've opened my eyes to the fake me, the one I hide behind to keep people away." he said, his eyes narrowing thoughtfully.

He approached her slowly, deliberately taking his time while he spoke, "You were right earlier, I need to relax and stop making assumptions, otherwise, nobody will want to be around me. And if nobody's around me, how will I be able to form new friendships and bonds, let alone find love?" he paused here, having reached her. He lowered his snout to her level, taking the chance with his hand to lift hers to look at him, holding it gently. He wanted to ensure she understood exactly what he was trying to convey to her, "I envy your life, Drachiathoryx. You know what you want, you live a life that makes you happy. That alone is inspiration enough for me to want to change who I am. You called me out earlier, and you are absolutely right, I don't want to be alone in this world. We live too long to keep ourselves secluded from one another." he stopped and let go of her, moving his snout back and straightening up. "I apologize for that, I just wanted to make sure you understood what I was trying to say." he apologized. He sat back down, though continued, "I do want to find someone to love, I mean, who doesn't in this world? But what you said hit me hard, I can't be this asshole, otherwise I won't find love. Talking to you tonight has helped me to begin to change for the better, or, I would like to hope. That said, I do hope you find happiness and love with someone. In my opinion, you deserve it, especially for putting up with someone like me." he said, chuckling lightly. He turned serious for a moment, but nothing heavy, "I did mean what I said earlier, if you want to talk to someone, I'll listen to you. Hell, it's the least I can do for putting you through my crap tonight. But aside from that, you ever need some hired muscle for one of your expeditions, you can count on me to be there." he said, giving her a smile at the end.
@Mistress Dizzy

That was really good in my opinion.

I quite agree. I will have posts for you guys tomorrow when I'm not affected by this medication. x_x
@ADamnFiddle Very true.
@ADamnFiddle Awesome! Gotta love it when things work out the way they do.
@ADamnFiddle It goes well. I know I owe you a post, just been busy. Should have one up tonight for you, if not, tomorrow then.
@Fabricant451@Shurikai

The recruits were already failing your standards, none of them appeared to have what it takes to become an Elite, they were a waste of your time. One of them, however, managed to keep up, even after you kept telling everyone to start again, she never wavered. Her will was strong, her determination unbreakable, she appeared to be just the type of soldier you were looking for. Just then the Division Commander entered and saw what was going on, "What the hell do you think you're doing with my recruits?! You may be an Elite Instructor, but in here, these are my barracks! I'm the one in charge here, now stop what you are doing and form up!" he shouted, giving Cerylia a dirty look. All but the woman did so, "I will not! All she was doing was ensuring we were able to handle being here. After seeing my fellow recruits in action, I feel sorry for them. They'll all die the moment they get deployed, I'd rather take my chances with her!" she said. The Commander glared at the woman, "What's your name girl?" he asked. She stared right back at him, "Jewel Rivers." she replied. He looked at Cerylia, "Well then, Instructor, I believe you have a new recruit. Now, get the hell out of my barracks, both of you! Go bother the 74th Armored Division." he ordered.

@Zarkun

Death. You know all about it, don't you? It claimed everything you loved, everything you held dear to you. You are now alone in the world, though you're not powerless, not anymore. Your time serving the RSG was time well spent. You know how to protect others, even if you're a little on the clumsy side using a gunblade. You are also not ignorant to the rumors of a war brewing between Avenase and Tormin, you know it will likely draw the inhabitants of both countries into conflict, intentionally or otherwise. You can help protect some people from the conflict, such as the children who'll be orphaned by the war, but you also know you cannot help them all. As a former member of RSG, you do have access to things the general populace does not; information upon request, provided the information doesn't affect ongoing missions or operations. You have access to restricted areas, but even this is limited in itself. You have no rank anymore, and thus have no authority within RSG, however that matters very little as most troops will cooperate with a former brother in arms should the person need help. Today, you're on your way to the Fefdor mountain range to visit a clan of anthro-dragons, whom have invited you to teach the younglings about the outside world.

@zaga2575

Luna Bladedancer. Matriarch of Tormin, Commander-in-Chief, and the only hope Tormin has of surviving the coming war. She is the one person you have been sworn to protect with your life, and it is a job you take seriously. More seriously than those who came before you. Of course, there's a reason why you take the job more seriously than they did. There is something there that you cannot share with the people of Tormin, something you both must keep secret for the time being, as many would not understand. "Kessig, can you come in here for a moment?" she called to the Lancer outside her office door. Once he was inside, Luna stood from her desk and to the window that looked out over the city; just beyond that, one could just barely make out the peak of Fefdor Mountain. She took a seat in her usual chair by the window and motioned for the man to join her in the chair opposite of her, "I fear Armond isn't going to negotiate this time, he hasn't sent a reply back, and I feel as if he killed the messenger I sent. On top of that, I'm concerned for the safety of that young anthro-dragon, Shirok. He's barely an adult now and I have him risking his life in Avenase to give us information; I even gave him orders that put his cover at risk, telling him to rescue Tyme Ishinara from that facility." she told him. She leaned her head against her clasped hands, "I can't tell if I'm making the right calls or not, Kessig. It's too much for me at times. What if I give the wrong order to someone? I could get someone killed doing that; what kind of leader would I be then?" she asked. She sounded as if she was about to break down and cry in front of him, and to be honest, it wouldn't have been the first time if she did. He was the only one she let get close to her, he was the only one who got to see her like this, as a human being. Not the strong woman everyone else saw her to be.

@Leolycan@Ezmeralda

When Tyme heard the soldier finish his report, he looked at the man, "Repeat what you just said." he told him. The soldier repeated himself, causing Tyme to look at Katherine when she asked her question, "No, I do not know him. However, I am familiar with what he's wearing on his wrist." he said, carefully holding up Nitire's right wrist. He let go of the man's wrist carefully, looking back at the soldier, "Did you try to remove that from his wrist?" Tyme asked, being quite forceful and demanding of his superior. The soldier stood his ground, "Watch who you're speaking to, Rookie!" he snapped. Tyme ignored him, "You need to tell me if you tried to, our very lives are at stake. Do you want to be responsible for that bracelet blowing us all to Kingdom Come? Did. You. Tamper. With. That. Bracelet?" he demanded, pushing his finger into the man's chest. The soldier glanced to the bracelet, then back to the intimidating man before him, "We didn't tamper with it, but we did try to remove it. Nothing happened when we tried." he responded. Tyme backed off and turned to Katherine, walking to her and lowering his voice so only she could hear him speak, "Since he came from Avenase and surrendered without incident, I doubt he's a spy; he's probably a deserter, and if so, then it's likely he'll fight for our cause if we give him a chance. I'm sure Luna intends to do the same thing with him. As for the bracelet, I've seen it before, on other soldiers." he paused to look at Nitire before continuing.

"They exist because of me, or rather, because of what was done to me. The bracelets allow for soldiers who have been trained in extreme conditions and gone through the genetic bonding sequences, to cast magic whenever they wish. It's a good thing they didn't try to tamper with it, otherwise that city would've been a small crater by now. The Empire is very protective about their secrets, Commander, and right now, you have two of their most prized secrets in the palm of your hand." he looked back at the prisoner once more, this time raising his voice. "Him and me." he finished, motioning between the two of them.

@Mistress Dizzy

The path you had originally wished to take was apparently a good one, as you were able to overlook the valley below, along with most of the plains leading to Moro Zera. From here, you are able to see it, the inevitable clash that would happen. In the valley below, you can see and hear Imperials marchind in formation, led by a heavily armored man with a huge sword on his back. But this wasn't the worst of it. Oh no. The machine that was following behind them all was the largest threat, you could just tell by looking at it's design. Out on the plains, you could spot two groups gathered together; you assume them to be RSG soldiers, given where they were. This was one of the machinations of fate, you could see it very clearly. The war would start with this engagement, it couldn't be stopped. All that could be done now, was to pick a side and fight. Your options were limited, assist the Imperials and become a traitor to your homeland, or risk it all and attempt to reach the RSG soldiers and warn them of the large Imperial force approaching from the valley. The choice...is yours to make.
Aussir listened to her as she went off on him yet again, he had gone and done exactly what he didn't want to, now she was pissed. He sighed and rubbed the side of his head with his hand, "You misunderstand. I'm not trying to control you, nor direct your life. I was simply trying to tell you, although clearly in a very stupid and idiotic way, that I wanted to get to know you better. I want to understand you as a person, despite the fact I've been saying things to contradict myself." he tried to explain. He folded his wings and turned to face her once again, letting his hand drop, "Maybe you're right about love. I mean, what the hell do I know about the damn emotion? Only what I've seen and experienced. I'm sure love is a good thing, but from where I stand, I can't see it that way. And yes, you're right, perhaps I'm a presumptuous asshole. I try not to be, but that doesn't work out so easily for me. I apologize for coming off that way and assuming to know how you feel; truthfully, I have no idea how you feel about anything, aside from knowing how much you enjoy being an archeologist. That's the only thing I can say for certainty, you love your job. Everything else, all guesswork." he told her. He knew she was pissed, and he wasn't sure if he should continue with what he wanted to say. She had hit a nerve when she had gone off on him, how he could be close to someone, yet he didn't have to give them his heart.

He spotted the orb from before, his curiosity in it becoming renewed, "Maybe I am deluding myself into thinking these things. I'm...not even really sure what I want. I say I want love, then I don't. Look, I'm not sure if I should tell you this or not. I figure I may as well be honest and let you decide what you want to do. Hate me, walk away, whatever. Your choice, but just listen for a moment before you decide." he said. He sighed, "I know I've said and done things to contradict myself, but I'm going to tell you the how I really feel and what I want just in this moment. I feel regret for the idiotic way I've been acting tonight, mostly towards you, partially because I was stupid and attracted the attention of a Harrok. You also struck a nerve and made me realize just how lonely I really am; you're right, I do want someone to be close to me. All Dragonkin want this of course, and I am no exception, as I'm sure you aren't as well. Not assuming you're lonely right now, of course, just stating a fact that's known. That said, up until I pissed you off, I was enjoying your company. I was relaxed, more than I've ever been before. I think that feeling scared me. So, I did what I always do, I pushed you away. I acted like an asshole, like I usually do when I push someone away. Truth of the matter here, I want you to be close to me, Drachiathoryx. This has nothing to do with love, it has to do with how I feel and what I want. Of course, now that you're angry, I think I may have ruined any chance of actually having any sort of further contact with you." he finished.

He moved to the bench and sat there, folding his wings, "Of course, that's only what I think, whether that's true or not remains to be seen." he added with a sigh. He looked at the fountain, he was sure there was no chance for him to fix any of the damage he caused, he had acted like an ass. Her words still rung in his ears, it was likely he would be alone forever if he acted like this towards everyone he came across, it would be what he deserved after all. He honestly did not expect the dragoness to want anything further to do with him, he was likely unpleasant company for her by this point. He sighed and looked at her once again, "I wasn't lying when I said I liked you, Drachiathoryx, it was the truth." he said quietly. He looked away from her and back to the fountain, "I'd like to talk to you some more, but I understand if you don't want to be around me for another second, I haven't exactly been the best company." he glanced at her, "If you're intending to leave, Drachiathoryx, then I wish you a safe journey. If not, I want to ask you about the orb, I saw it in the tavern earlier before I left. I'm curious as to what it is and what it does." he finished. He hoped she'd stay and at least answer that for him, even if she didn't want to sit close to him again, that was fine.
He didn't say anything when she told him her parents were dead, it was clear she didn't want to tell him about it, or anything about herself unless it was about her job. He didn't blame her at all, letting one see your soul, that was dangerous. He knew he had let her see a bit of his soul, but nothing deep, not the scars he had. No, he would never show those to her, or to anyone else for that matter. When she grabbed his wrist and tugged on him, he responded by sitting with her, folding his wings so he could be as close to her as she wanted him to be. His tail wrapped around his own leg, so it wouldn't be in the way of anything. The way she was speaking, she was trying to push him away, a typical response for their kind. He debated with himself, pursue her, or back off a bit. Backing off would simply mean he'd have to close himself off again; surely it's what she would like him to do, not to trust someone like her, even though she had said they needed to stick together. He chuckled internally, she probably thought he was falling for her, that's why he was opening up to her. That was far from the truth. She had simply made him comfortable with how she treated him, like he was a person, not a monstrosity. He didn't care if she was interested in him for other reasons, she had been the first person to show him kindness since his father left, and he wasn't about to let her push him away like he was nothing.

He unwrapped his tail and let it brush against her own, feeling her scaled finger trail between his snout, "You make it sound like I'm looking for love, Drachiathoryx. That's far from the truth. Yes, I was born out of love and raised by two parents with love. But love is simply a human emotion that they came up with to explain their attachments to another living thing. Do I believe in such an emotion? Sure, without a doubt. Does it have a place in my life? No, not at all. Especially in my line of work, love is not something I can afford to have. Besides, such an emotion is dangerous. Letting one that close to you is simply asking for fate to hurt you." he paused here and took her hand gently from his snout. He didn't let go of it, but he didn't move it anywhere either, "I've been watching you for a while since we ran into each other near The Labourer, you keep glancing at my wings, almost as if you want to touch them." he said, letting one side unfold itself. He shifted himself so her hand was close enough that she just had to move it forward a little to feel it, however, he still held her hand and wouldn't let her touch the unfolded wing. "Of course, to allow you to touch it means something, doesn't it?" he asked. He finally let go of her hand, his wing folding once more, "Perhaps one day you will get the chance to touch them, for there is a different meaning behind the action for me. However, I won't allow for just anyone to touch them." he told her.

He returned to his original position beside her, "That said, I realize you said earlier you may never love someone, so you likely will never get to touch my wings. Of course, that's even assuming I'd fall in love with you. Don't misunderstand or get angry, I didn't mean that in a rude way. You are very attractive, without a doubt. However, like you said, we don't really know each other. Hell, even I was a bit foolish to show you some of my soul earlier. However, that said, I can't just let you go, Drachiathoryx. You've made an impression on me, one I will likely never forget. You can try and push me away all you like, but I won't let you do that, you're part of my life now, for better or for worse. I know you're hurting, Drachiathoryx, you don't need to say a single word. It's our nature, it happens to us no matter what we do. Just know that you have someone in this world who'll listen to you whenever you're ready to talk about your past. I won't force you to talk about it, that's your choice and nobody can make it for you." he told her. He stood from the bench, though he wasn't going to leave, he was simply tightening Destiny's knot a little more. He finally moved over to the cliff and stood there, looking out over the city, "You know, I've never been up here before? Lived here my whole life, and I've never seen the city like this." he said softly with a small smile. He spread his wings out fully, as if he were about to take off, "I have to admit one last thing to you, Drachiathoryx, I envy your wings. You can fly. Mine, they're not strong enough, or designed well enough to do such a simple thing. No, my wings are almost useless to me. At most, I can glide downwards. Of course, I can also use them to intimidate someone should I so wish. So they have some use. Just that flying isn't one of them." he admitted, sighing softly.
