Thank you! I was wondering if there was the potential for Katrina to run into Heros she had helped before, and now I know she won't.

Though all this discussion about power levels and what to expect had helped me figure out a potential role for Katrina as the one who knows th Other Side. Which is exciting.

Random question. What happens to heros once they save the day in this universe. Are they sent back home or is there a whole flock of retired heros in the land.

That's promising! For lots of reasons. It gives me hope that our characters, our being all of us, will actually be able to work together without spending all their free time plotting against each other.

See, I had rhe exact opposite experience in my early RP days. I had crafted a Mary-Sue completely by accident. The GM took her, but the rest of the players were not happy. I loved my character. I loved their characters. I loved the story. But the OoC interactions were not fun and this was at the height of my depression. So, now I try really hard to create balanced characters. It wasn't my intent to make Katrina the clear underdog like she'sturning out to be, but she's not completely useless. So, right now I'm happy with her. Maybe over the course of the story she'll pull a magic sword or merge with Rolf or gain the wisdom of the ages. Or maybe she'll die forever. Whatever the case, I'm hoping to have fun.

I'm pretty positive Katrina is a level 1 character in this case. She's clever, but she's not winning fights against the other characters with brute strength. Yam I Am didn't say anything negative about her, so I think she qualified for the scenario. Whether she'll be accepted is a whole other question, but I don't think you need to worry about your character being over or under powered.

If you want your character to be part of the Knights of Valance I am totally down with that. We would have to discuss it though in order to flesh out backstory. Maybe they are from different chapters or something. I would prefer to do that over PMs though. Right now I've posted too many posts in the thread and am getting the same type of anxiety I get from talking too much and not realized I'm talking to much long after that point had passed.

Also. It's LadyAnnaLee or AnnaLee. That is the name I picked for me and there is a reason it's not just Anna. I'm not trying to be a not nice word, but I am politely asking you to please respect my choice. Thank you.

The Knights of Valance have a mix of both. Some believe in the glory and holiness of Saint Zariah. Some just want power and an excuse to ransack and other violence. Some have actual holy power. Some just have enhancements.

I have added the following lines to the sheet. I didn't think I needed to repost the whole thing.

Background

Since then she has ignored all threats and promises from the Valance Compound urging her to come home. She even killed her uncle, who had harm her and several other of her siblings and cousins, both male and female, before then reached the age of majority at sixteen. Killing him was easy and Katrina did so without remorse. After all, how could a monster like him ever be considered Good? She imagines that when her Father, the head of the Valance Knights, discovers this she will be cast out, excommunicated, and hunted. Oh well, she doesn’t regret it and will deal with the consequences as they come.

I did not mention that this would attract Lord Ahriman's attention as Katrina wouldn't know that. I hope it works.

Skills and Abilities

Eventually she will succumb to physical and mental fatigue. Though she has undergone the complete set of Valance enhancements. As a result, her reflexes are faster than most humans, Fae, and the Elven. She is stronger than expected and can easily carry three times her body weight. She can also run a mile in under three minutes and maintain that speed for up to two hours. While these enhancements do not put her quite on the same level as most demons with care and determination, she can stay defeat them. It is never an easy fight, but she won’t give up without one. She knows a wide range of martial styles and is proficient at almost all of them.

I might add in some bits about having to under go enchantments to enhance her physical strength/speed/reflexes so she can fight demons on a more even playing field, but I don't really want her to be super human. I mean I rather she not be severely out of her league, but I want her to struggle some what. If that makes sense.

Also I'm trying to think of things that would draw Lord Ahrimen's attention, but am drawing a huge blank. Would you mind sharing some examples? Please and thank you!

Finally, thank you for your patience. I know I've been posting a lot and probably taking up a lot of your time. It's just I only get the weekends to really focus on role-playing and this concept is super interesting to me. I read the into post and just ... fell in love. I want to get Katrina all work up and ironed out this weekend, so I'm not scrambling when the due date for applications come around. So, thank you!
