Current @ColdAtlas PM me the headphone model? I doubt it’s a proprietary cable solution, so you can probably replace it for cheap.

When did I say that? =P

Yeah, we should. I’ll need to jump through some hoops to defeat bypasses, but that sort of thing is doable.

Shinji: *opens a panel of info in midair with holographis, clicks a few things here and there, and a small orb appears in front of you*

Any and all information, updated every .0000000001 milliseconds, is within that sphere. To put it in an access port, you simply click the top of it, and it will insert itself into whichever device you would like.
Some say that it can even be compatible with Windows 97, can you believe that?
*laughs*

Isis: ...Can I... can I use that?
<Snipped quote by LegendBegins>

Shinji:* chuckles to myself at my comment,and speaks*
Not at all, your just analyzing the devices data, no birthing will be happening here, I just felt I could trust you with sensitive information.

*keeps walking, and stops in front of the door*

Hmm...

*looks closely at the access panel, seeing that there was a thin plastic layer over it that shouldn't be there*
..we'll then. It would seem my sister is at it again. She love tinkering with my tools and devices. She's probably looking for a tool to help her precisely calibrate the geo-navigation systems in the GNYSYS03, I think that it is fine, but she is really picky..

*peels the plastic off the access panel, scans his hand, enters a several hundred digit long code, as the door slides up, and I enter the large room*

Welcome, Isis, to my magnificent Laboratory.

*waives to all of the devices, and several other things*

There is plenty of tools at your disposal. I've gathered nearly every tool from every universe.

*abover them, soft clanking metal sounds can be heard, as my sister works on the GNYSYS03*

Isis: Okay. Where's your data?
<Snipped quote by LegendBegins>

*continues walking*

Shinji: you seem to be quite the agreeable person, Im surprised we haven't talked much before this, but I digress. Were almost to the room containing the device. Another five minutes approximately and we should be there, if my calculations are correct.

*keeps walking*

Shinji: Also, one more thing you should know, the woman I refer to as my stepsister, she is really my half sister. My step sister passed away fighting the Chiropterans. It was tragic, but unfortunately, I rarely spoke to her. The main point is, Alucard does in fact have a daughter, and no one else is to know for certain reasons.

*breathes quietly*

Also, no one else is to know of this either, but I have a daughter. She has yet to be born, as Kirina is currently pregnant with her.

*keeps walking, keeping a close watch of you for any sudden movements indicating danger out of the corner of my eye*

Isis: Okay... you do just want me to fix a machine, right? Or at least analyze data. I'm not doing any birthing or anything, right?

@Mahz
A quick thought. Despite the fact that we have an arrow that leads to the latest post, is there any reason the text "X Time Ago" doesn't also link to the latest post on the subscriptions page?

Oh God. yes please. please. I have shit there I need.

Don't get your hopes up. It's a web crawler, and dies after a few links. You may get a couple posts of information if you're lucky, but it works by sending web spiders to click and log links, and after a few links, it stops logging. If you can find a living pathway long enough to find your thread, it's another matter to find pages. Normally, the best you'll get is the first page, all the numbers to pages displayed at the bottom, and if the sun smiles on you, the links from those pages onward. Sorry, but even beginning to attempt to restore a bulk of OldGuild information would be entirely impractical.

Unfortunately this weekend my main goals are:

- Take another shot at what I tried to do last weekend (unread-post system).
- Make improvements to the general user-experience. For instance, if you try to make a topic and trigger a validation error (too many tags selected, title too long, etc), then the forum under most cases will silently fail, redirect you to an empty form with no error message, and leave you wondering wtf happened.
- Migrate old-guild content to current-guild by scraping archive.org.

Not very exciting, but I'll be excited if I can make progress in those areas.

At work we launched a product we've been working on for a while, so my time during the week is booked right now until things settle down. Usually I have some time on weekday evenings to work on the Guild, but not for the next 30 days or so.

Has archive.org stored every thread? Even the Wayback Machine only stores information up to a few links.

WHICH OLD GUILD DO YOU MEAN?!

I would assume Pre-GuildFall, considering The Guild still contains all data from the previous year.

Sucks, but I can understand the reasoning behind it. i guess things like quotes will have to go in the bio and status updates rather than the sig space.

As the Guild advances, it's entirely possible that the size will be expanded, changed, or otherwise improved upon. The only goal in mind is to provide the best possible user experience.

Hey,@Mahz, I tried editing my signature with a few things, and it kept on getting cut off. I get that there's a 300px height limit, but I remember that there was an option to scroll down on a person's signature that exceeded said height. Did you remove that feature or is what I'm experiencing some kind of bug in the system?

If a signature exceeds 300px, it gets cut off without a scroll option. It saves data and bandwidth of users, and prevents abuse.

Shinji: Hmm, I would say I could relate to terrifying things happening, but every one perceives things differently....

Isis: True, true.
<Snipped quote by LegendBegins>

Shinji: *chuckles slightly, and sighs*
Oh well, it would have been an intriguing issue to work with and fix..
*continues*

Isis: It was honestly terrifying.
