Once upon a time, I used to cheer for May the 4th... now I cry with disappointment. *Except Clone Wars S7 and the Mandalorian - they are awesome*

I have played just enough Doom Eternal to read all of this with heavy metal in my head, count me interested.

Which theme is your favorite?
I might be picking duke Astaroth, but still looking for a proper picture for him - although I believe I found one for his mount.

Being as they are metaphysical, can you give us a general concept on how our demons should look like? More human, more monstrous, somewhere in between, or whatever we want?
Another interest for the fire!

Vera initially failed to understand what the Sarcogan meant regarding a "vornn vorrrrrn", however she immediately confirmed to him regarding their status.

"Vera friend, yes." the scarred warrior slowly replied in a warming tone before stretching her hand out for the hand shake, "Mirik is also friend to me."

She soon realized that the lizardman seemed confused at this gesture, before he simply poked at her fingers with his own scaly claws. Vera seemed to have placed herself in an awkward situation, yet was able to save it relatively with a friendly chuckle. While she normally utilized this as what she believed to be the universal signal for one to welcome an individual, Vera quickly found herself feeling silly for offering such a gesture to a foreign species.

"Ah, I'm sorry," she apologized before rubbing her head to clarify, "It was supposed to be a handshake. We humans use it to greet one another."

However Vera would find that she wasn't the only person who wanted to greet the new person in town. It was none other then the resident elven mortician, Amara Veltras - who seemed surprised at Mirik's arrival. The innkeeper waved towards him as Robert asked him on whether or not he finished with his work. But as she attempted to listen in, she would suddenly hear a muffled mewing coming from Mirik's position.

She perked her head towards the lizardman and quickly noticed the bag that he was carrying. There must be some kind of animal inside! Indeed this in turn prompted the lizardman to try and calm whatever was inside that was inside before deciding to take out two large ovals that were wrapped in a thick collard-like leaf. Vera's eye would widen as Mirik revealed the contents from within - they being two adorable goat-like animals covered in plant-like vines that grew around their white and brown fur.

"Awww!" she softly cooed as she felt her heart melt into her very body, "Those little guys look so CUTE!"

She wanted to scream in cuteness so badly, yet was just able to compose herself. Vera began to believe that they were perhaps his pets that he carried around, which already looked very exotic compared to your average goat kids. Never had she seen such cute things in her life! Soon enough the great lizard began to hiss softly as he appeared to be singing to them a lullaby to help them sleep. The one-eyed woman would then glance at Mirik before pointing at the baby goats.

"What do you call these cute little guys?" she asked him softly.

Mirik would then point and refer to them as “Varkann”, which was no doubt a sarcogan name in his tongue. Vera continued to coo some more as she allowed herself a closer look at the little creatures, yet struggled to not allow her to touch them for the sake of politeness.

"Awwww, those Varkann are sooooo cute!" she adored softly as she waved a finger just inches away from one of the kid's faces. If only she could have one as a pet! For now she will have to simply settle with classifying them within her study notes once she returns home - if she remembers that is.

Suddenly he would hear the voice of Dr. Baylen Stonestrider behind her. She would turn as the man asked as he pointed to the "Varkann" critters.

"Yes!" she confirmed as she rose slightly to let him take a look for himself, "I believe they are native to the Sarcogan's homeland."

She would then look back to Mirik with a glimmer in her emerald-eye.

"I would love to meet the rest of your native wildlife!" she mentioned to him excitedly while still trying to slow herself enough to have him understand her, "For I love animals you see - especially those unknown to human science."

The skull-face referred to himself as "Lord Ignis", prompting a smirk and approving grunt from Jukati.

"Ignis, eh?" she spat out with a chuckle, "Like the name - but yer lacking the fiery essence, skull-face."

As the oni turned to find Rafiq however, the very rat emerged from the shadows upon her shoulder to applaud her strength - albeit significantly smaller than previously - squeaking happily about how well their partnership will be. Jukati growled as she rolled her eyes.

"Jus' remember ya owe me one." she barked as she walked by the drow, where the rat commented on her exquisite and surprisingly genuine potions.

As Jukati continued idling around the bloodied corpses of flesh and fur, she would overhear Lord Ignis comment about how they needed to extract any bit of information from the surviving wolf. The fallen-angel Azrael offered his services as he began to interrogate the poor mutt with his sheer intimidation alone. She watched them closely as she stood on the side-lines, secretly wishing that she was the one doing the interrogating.

But like the fallen angel mention, perhaps she also would've beaten the canid's skull in before she would retrieve anything useful...
This has got to be one of the more unique Multiverse RPs I've seen on the guild as of late!

I'm considering throwing my hat into the ring (despite being in another multiverse RP atm, but it's running fairly slowly), but I do have a few ideas for who would be my starting hero... once I decide, I'll see about getting something up.

With Yuki having successfully made it to the ground unseen by the approaching GMG, Commander Yashiro and her assistants continued to monitor her approach while keeping the creatures' attention away from her. The Commander specifically had the jets target Goomie's head as it was the most accessible part of her body that they could shoot safely without harming any of the trapped civilians. While it was not guaranteed that the missiles would make their mark, it was their best shot for the time being. And with Terrorkeet's presence now in affect, the stakes have once again spiked.

Already it was beginning to look much like the previous engagement...

In the meantime, the Commander listened adamantly at the radio comms being directed by the other units; from Akari's displeasure at the jets risking civilian casualties, to Utena asking for the latter to deal with the slime girl, as well as the orders given by field commander Yurei overseeing the evacuations. Despite these rising tensions, the Commander believed that this operation could still be completed successfully so long as no other GMGs join the fray...

And as if the universe simply wanted to spite her, a third GMG descends from dark clouds as the battlefield began to rain.

"A third GMG opponent has joined the fray!" an operator announced panically, "Codename: Diva" - the undine!"

Yashiro's metallic fist banged upon the table as her stare began to portray a nasty grimace.

"You've got to be kidding..." she groaned with disbelief, "Why are they all here?"

She watched as the three creatures gathered in place, while the nervous tapping of shoes came from the assistants behind her. However, she would soon notice that they seemed to be conversing with one another about something. The Commander was unable to hear what they were saying and thus her mind began to race wildly with numerous calculations and theories as to what could be going on. With the Dragon Queen incident still fresh within her mind, the Commander began to immediately consider the worst-case scenarios that might be unleashed:

Were they planning on their next action? Could they be planning an ultimate attack? Were they summon another GMG to their position?

As these thoughts raced through her mind, she would stop for just a moment to listen to Yurei proposition:

"All MFF troops, this is Field Commander Yurei. For the time being, unless acting in self-defense, do not attack the GMG known as 'Terrorkeet', nor the new aqueous GMG. Focus your efforts on keeping yourselves safe, evacuating the human population, and retarding the movement and actions of GMG Goomie. In that order."
Akane Yueri

Commander Yashiro's gaze shifted on the screen portraying Yeuri on screen. The operators behind her began to mumble quietly in the background, almost as if they were questioning the field commander's very decision. Her belief that Terrorkeet and Diva were supposed to be helping humanity rather than joining Goomie's rampage would be considered blasphemy amongst the general MFF as a whole. And the fact that the former GMG had previously participated in the last engagement was also eye-raising to say the least. What did the field commander know that everyone else didn't?

It was something Commander Yashiro couldn't see adding up.

Thus she proceeded to announce over the general comms:

"Orders: Overriden." Commander Yashiro announced coldly with seemingly no remorse.

That was when Yuki finally struck.

Yuki raced down the narrowed streets as the battle raged around her. Even with the new threat having made landfall as rain began pouring down did Yuki not stutter or yield. All that mattered was their attention looking elsewhere and so long as they were focused on the others did she have a chance in completing her mission. Her waypoint was counting down the distance rapidly.

300 meters... 275 meters...

Indeed, as her bike turned the next corner, the special forces unit found herself upon a road heading directly at Goomie herself. Yuki noticed the other two GMG conversing with one another and shooing off the other units, but they still seemed completely oblivious about the approaching bike.

250 meters... 175 meters...

"Almost there, almost there..." Yuki breathed to herself as she closed in on the target.

150 meters... 125 meters...

"Just a little bit more..."

100 meters... 50 meters...

"Aaaaaaaaand..."

25 meters...

"Now!"

Yuki quickly shifted her bike's gear as it leapt into the air. The pilot found herself summersaulting high in the air before pressing a button on her suit. Immediately, her armor began to morph as did her bike both disassembling for a brief moment as they began to produce a new product. Within seconds, Yuki's bike had morphed into a vital component of armor and merged with Yuki's own, creating a new power suit! The suit's back boosters quickly ignited as they launched Yuki straight towards Goomie

"Initiating drill sequence!" Yuki yelled as her hands morphed into two large spiraling drills.

Now fast approaching her target, Yuki proceeded to fire two explosive grenade lobs at her point of entrance, softening up the slime creature's gelatinous flesh. With that, her drill-hands pierced the disturbed skin and Yuki found herself burrowing into Goomie's very body. Now within her target, she now had to ascend up into the GMG's head and plant an explosive device to compromise her target and release the trapped civilians inside.

And no doubt her sudden appearance had prompted the potential peace to shatter... hopefully in the MFF's favor.
Mooooooore fauna~

As Vera was to set forth in a particular direction, she would be soon greeted by an approaching figure. The inkeeper turned around as she quickly spotted the local deputy looking more cheerful than usual. She smiled softly before waving back at him.

"Morning, Deputy Rob," she pleasantly replied, "How do you fare?"

Robert would then proceed to introduce her to his friend, Mirik, presenting him proudly on the spot. Vera's eye blinked twice as she immediately noticed the presence of the incredibly tall, jet-black individual. Slowly her eye rose to meet with his. Yet it wasn't any old person she happened to be gazing at and she immediately knew this right away. Her eye widened in awe as she felt her heart rapidly beating in place.

A lizardfolk!

Vera had only seen and heard about these nomadic reptilian people through myths and stories, but never had she seen one in the flesh, let alone standing right in front of her. Judging by the size and stature of this individual through hand-drawn references, she quickly concluded that he must be one belonging to the Sarcogan people. And he appeared to be an even rarer individual considering the color of his scales - one fairly uncommon for his tribe. Her excitement was almost overwhelming, one even Mirik could perhaps recognize as one of positive, rather than negative, nature.

Regardless, Vera quickly snapped out of her nerdily gaze before it could cause too much discomfort and greeted the lizardman properly.

"Ah! Greetings Mirik," she replied in a slightly slower yet more enunciated tone, as she rose her hand out for a handshake, "I'm Vera Byrnfield - a pleasure to meet you."
