Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

Ethan watched the dust be blown out of a window on the others side. It smelled a lot better at the attic now. His eyes moved to the cage, it was filled with imps. "Hey," he said as he walked to the cage. "Aren't this the guys we caught?"
The imps pressed themselves on the opposite side of the cage, making fast and high-pitched noises. Were they... afraid? "There's less of them," he said, going over them. And some were injured. "What the hell? I thought they would be relocated or something. And if they were dangerous enough to be terminated, at least a quick death you know."
But to see these creatures frightened instead of enraged, it didn't feel good at all.

Benjamin watched Harriet hurry outside. "I'm going to see if she's okay," he said to the others and followed her, but not before quickly grabbing his hat.
Outside he couldn't see her, and she wasn't down the street, so she had to be around the corner. He went in that direction and heard the wolf whistle. As he rounded the corner he saw three men approach her and that smug look didn't bode well. He quickly walked to her and grabbed her arm.
"I'm sorry guys," he said. "I found her first."
Maybe this wasn't the smartest move, but he'd improvise as this went along.
I had absolutely no plans for the details of the binding spell. Probably just something that is used on demons in general, so some Angelic symbols could certainly be part of it. And it not working on Steph would be a great twist. If they get so far in actually using, but even if Mike falters for some reason, Stuart Greyhill will attempt it or finish it. (Just don't kill him, I need him for the time-skip after they leave. Mike is going to stay with him for a bit to learn more about magic. He's not a bad guy, I swear)
"Probably pork, that's the cheapest meat." He picked up his cup with pills and pushed his chair back. "I'm going to return these. And maybe see what that frowning and altering the list was about. I'll be right back."
He crossed the room and went straight to the medicine cart. When Marc noticed he was approaching he took place between Benjamin and the cart, in case his attentions weren't good.

"It will be a waste to throw them away," Benjamin said, handing Marc the cup.
"True," Marc said as he took the cup back. "Feeling a bit rebellious today, Benjamin? To hand me the pills publically?"
Benjamin hadn't thought about that, but he liked the idea. "Maybe." He glanced at the list on the cart, looking at the crossed out name. "I didn't see Susanna yet," he continued. "Do you know where she is?"
"I just called and was told she has gone home. She took her meds. You see what happens when people follow their treatment?" Marc wouldn't leave any opportunity unused.
Benjamin made a derogatory noise. "She traded them for painkillers most of the time. Bet you didn't know that." He turned around and quickly walked back to the table with Ray. His expression changed to worry, something he had been very careful to not show to Marc.
Ethan had his eyes on the mansion when Gaia suddenly grabbed him. "Gaia!" he exclaimed, grabbing her arms so he couldn't fall. Moments later he felt the roof under his feet and once released he turned around to face. "How about a warning next time," he said, turning to the mentioned hatch. "But yeah, beats climbing all those stairs."
Right, okay, he had to work on his condition, but that didn't mean he had to sprint up any staircase he came across. He opened the hatch and looked inside. It was downright dark in there. But there were noises coming from there.
"You have a light with you?" he asked as he went inside, using his cellphone to see where he was going.

The place was filled with boxes and crates, the labels on them had codes with letters and numbers, but no description of what was inside. The noises came from a rectangular shape with a cloth draped over it. Maybe it was true curiosity killed the cat, but he did want to see what was under that.

Benjamin glanced at Steph and put the spoon in the now empty bowl. "Ethan doesn't either," he said, in an attempt to draw the attention away from her again. "He's just now learning how to deal vampires. Before this the best he had ever done was fight with neighbouring kids. When Mike and I decided to apply for a position in the agency Ethan said we'd get our asses kicked, and Mike and I really can't fight so he could be right about that, and he said he'd join us. Because someone had to look after us."
He finished his drink and looked at the table to see if everyone was done. After the text of Ethan he didn't want to drag the lunch out. There would be plenty of time for further socializing.

"And now?" Mike asked after looking through the photo's. "Is Steph a threat?"
"All Succibi and Incubi are," mr. Greyhill said, looking at Mike over his glasses. "There is a binding spell that will hold them in place long enough for someone to pierce both the heart of the human and the demon." He showed both the anatomy and the spell on the tablet and Mike looked examined them. "Mr. Johnson informed me it is your friend Benjamin who is at risk," mr. Greyhill continued.
"Ben?" Mike said as he looked up.
"He's letting his guard down around her, she obviously put a spell on him. And they found a victim, one of the male agents died." He swiped to show the picture. "Mr. Johnson send me the picture. Classic Succubus death. She needs to be stopped, or your friend may be next."
After looking at the picture, Mike looked up again and nodded. "I understand," he said.
"Now, she may act all innocent, but don't let her fool you. They are born seductresses. Succubi will always hunger for men, it's in their nature. Having one in the agency is too dangerous."
Mitch decided to join the conversation. "I will join you," he said, looking at Mike. "You bind her, I will kill her. I don't think you have it in you to do that. But I can. And I saw her in action before, I saw her kill a man. I know what to look out for." That piercing tail, for instance. She wouldn't get him as she had gotten that Jackson guy.
It was reluctant, but Mike nodded again.
"We'll finish the lunch, then we'll leave," Mitch decided, turning his attention to his mushroom and truffle omelette.
@Dark HuntressI have a male character that would fit in with this RP, if you don't mind replies that can take up to a week. I will always strive for daily replies, but in reality its more like 3 of 4 days between replies. Longest is a week, as I have 1 day that I will reply in all rp's, but I will always try to reply more often than that.
Mindy stared at Gavin, he couldn't possibly have said what he just said. Every traveller she had come across so far had at least one set of spare clothes, in case they got wet or dirty and had something to wear when they would wash or dry their clothes.
"There are a lot of stores here, Goldenrod is a big place, you'll be sure to find something that suits your taste. There are some second-hand stores too if money is an issue." Another thing she had learned on her travel that it wasn't easy to earn money, being a trainer often meant following fashion was an unaffordable luxury. At least for those who weren't competitive. Big league trainers and contesters actually earned pretty good money from prizes and sponsors. Then something dawned on her, if Gavin only had one set of clothes, he was probably wearing these for quite a while. Ewww. "How about we go to a store right now, so you can wash what you are wearing. With soap."

"Gone?" Michael repeated as he looked around. He hadn't seen the Absol leave. "Do you think he'll come back, or do we have to look for him?"
If Lytse was gone he'd search for him, and he knew that when Kim was gone his uncle would let all his Pokémon search for her, but if Merlin was gone he usually shrugged and said he'd be back. Even as part of a team, Merlin was still a solitary Pokémon who went his own way. Especially during the night. Michael didn't know Soul long enough to know if he had a habit of leaving, or if this was reason for concern. Nor did he know if Guardians were even supposed to leave their Legendary masters.

"Wow," Benny said. "Yvetal."
"Looked like a Noibat, it was hardly an impressing form," Merlin added and he spread his wings. "I will go to Andy now, you Pokémon have a good day." And he was off.
Benny watched Merlin leave and then looked at Blubelle, taking a bite from his sandwich. "We'll be heading out soon," he said with a mouth filled with bread and honey. "Going to see professor Elm a final time before he goes back home and then to the library to read through old newspapers. Just don't leave Goldenrod without us, Andy plans to tag along for a while."

Mabel was done and raised her face to the sun, closing her eyes with a happy smile on her face. "Sunbathing on a roof," she stated. "That is what I would like to do."
"I'd like Mindy to try the Goldenrod gym," Blaze said, but chuckled. "Although I don't think that will happen today."

The lapras looked at the two Arcanine who approached them. "I'm Ava," she introduced herself with a gentle voice. "And this is Vic."
The Onix grumbled a reply that could be a greeting, but didn't seem to give them much attention.
"Don't mind him, he's not very social," the Lapras said.
"Never needed to be," the Onix grumbled.

Andy sat at the table in the center with an arm casually over the backrest, slowly sipping from a cup of coffee the Blissey had brought. He'd eat something later, coffee was all he needed now. He watched Bear and Kim eat when Merlin joined him.
"Had a good night?" he asked, to which Merlin nodded. "I bet you want to rest now," he continued, taking the Pokéball. After Merlin nodded a second time he returned him to the Pokéball and put it away again.
After nodding, Benjamin focussed on the soup. If Ray said it was nothing, he believed her. The pills remained untouched on the table. Maybe Marc hoped he'd take them anyway. He looked over his shoulder, Marc was still working. His patience with him was admirable, he had to admit that.
He noticed how Marc looked at his list, then checked everyone in the room, followed by taking his phone. It didn't matter, Benjamin decided he'd focus on the one person in this room that mattered to him.
"It's decent this time, isn't it? The soup."
The soup was gone soon and the main course would soon follow.

Marc waited until the security on the other side picked up. "Susanna is absent..." he frowned as he listened to the reply. "Home? But I didn't hear anything about ... Right, I will change the list then. Thanks."
After putting the phone away, the took a pen from his pocket and scratched out her name from the list.
The manipulation continues :o

I'll play agent Lockheart and make sure she's close to Gaia when the device will be activated.

And yes, we are mean to our characters. But it will make a good story.
Ethan nodded and followed Gaia to the shed, but stopped when she looked at the sky. Moments later something small with wings crashed into her and it made some incomprehensible but cheerful noises. Then he recognized it. "It's Harriets creature. Guess it likes you."
He continued to the shed and opened the door. There were gardening tools, ropes, nets. Nothing he could use for what he had in mind. Unless he'd use a bag with fertilizer, but the groundskeeper wouldn't like that, and he was fairly sure he wouldn't want to be next to a bag of that stuff when it ripped.

"There could be some old boxing bags in the attic or the basement," he said, looking back at Gaia. "This place has nothing."

"No, they want a 24/7 commitment. That's why they have agents living at the base." He took a small break to eat some soup. "I used to work with a group of ghost hunters, we'd travel around to sightings and sleep in motels or the vans, always going from one place to the other. We didn't have a lot of money either, there were times I had to play on the street to earn money for food while the others were trying to find a new case we could work. Which is also how I met Mike." He smiled a bit, taking a bite from his bread. "The job itself was fulfilling, but this is definitely an upgrade. I've got a clean bed and free food every day, and some money I can spend on whatever I want. Plus, if you resign you get a decent pay-out."

As Mike was having lunch with Mitch in a four-star restaurant, Stuart Greyhill joined them.
"I'm sorry to disturb you," he said, "but mr. Johnson let me know there is an emergency. We need to talk about Succubi."
Mitch looked at the man and gestured to an empty chair. "Go ahead. I'm interested in the subject too."
Mr. Greyhill looked at Mike and only after an approving nod he sat down. "I know there is one in the agency, but they are predators. Every one of them, but some hide it better than others." He put a tablet on the table. "Here is a record of all the victims we know about."
As Mike started swiping through the pictures of the dead people, he realised how many there were. It was quite disturbing, he hadn't realized how dangerous they could be. Mitch looked at the tablet too, only pausing to address the waiter who came to see if the new guest wanted something as well.

Mr. Johnson looked at the text. Just monitor for now. I'm keeping an eye on them through the security system too. When I give the order, activate the device.
He watched them at the shed, Ethan was still too damn familiar with that monster, but it would soon change. He had been shown the massacre demons with similar traits like Gaia were capable of. He was certain Ethan would act when needed. That reminded him of something, Ethan was the kind of guy to help a damsel in distress. If one of the female agents would seemingly be in danger because of Gaia...
He picked up the phone. "Miss Lockheart, please come to my office."
No problem, I've taken breaks from roleplaying in the past to focus on writing. I understand it's needed sometimes.
Good luck with getting things sorted out for college.
